Hopefully we'll have an announcement for who's playing No Superman is not going in July at Comic-Con I think the other thing that looks off about the scene with the suit coming out of the ring is that Barry's eyes are just staring forward and not actually tracking the movement of the suit. Nope, it's just Pattinson in the elseworlds universe and DCU Batman when the DCU begins. This movie was made long before Gunn came in as head of DC. (Also, Zaslav said that and he was referring to the future).
Some scenes are not meant to be seen in slow motion. Scenes that are meant for slo mo often has good cgi quality since that scene is meant to be seen as slo mo. So if you will slo mo a certain scene that is not meant for it, for sure you will see unusual things like the cgi face of younger Barry 😅
Amy Adams is 7 years older than Cavill. Frankly, it was ridiculous of The Hollywood Reporter to suggest her age as a hindrance, especially when Lois is typically older than Clark, and she's only a few years older than the oldest Superman contenders. Even Bitsie on Superman and Lois is much older than Tyler Hoechlin
Yeah it's not a big deal at all, especially when Gunn has said he didn't want to just limit it to the 20's, so 32 really isn't a stretch, especially if paired with the supposed frontrunner, David Corenswet. I'm seeing a lot of positive reactions from fans envisioning their duo :)
The new suit is what gives Barry the yellow lightning. Without his suit he has the blue lightning. We see it in the scene with Elseworlds Barry’s room too. Well after we know he has his new suit. Blue = Out of Costume. Yellow = In Costume
I just wanted to see what people thought. The 1st shot you brought up is a reshoot. It's looks not finished but I bet it's better when the movie hits. One more thing. I've been a star wars, Indiana Jones, 80's horror of any type and I think a ton of people nowadays are getting a little brazen about their views on a movie like this with a bunch of effects shots. Go back and watch the Making of phantom menace. I think lord of the rings is also a great example. But the amount of shots with effects I'm pretty sure doubled with each progressing staw wars prequel. Again same with lotr. And I think those trilogies were the best of the best, and also pushed the effects houses who weren't at the same level as a Weta, and ILM but certainly were inspired. Actually one more observation. Digital cameras were pushing the media. Some filmmakers swear by anaolg film as the undisputed best way to create. Maybe 15 years ago, but with the way technology has progressed with digital film the can add or apply pretty much any kind filter or whatever may be available. Like amps musicians use today. Not all but almost I'd say, and the don't use traditional Amp heads when recording or in the live show. You can probably have the sounds of 20 different configurations and only use a small plug in. You don't see stacks of speakers the way they used tok.
homey nobody is saying that here. What kind of rage bait are you trying to induce with this nonsense. Jesus the right wing white guy victim crap is so deeply embarrassing.
Great video Boba, and I agree, David Corenswet is the top pick for Clark/Superman, Nicholas Hoult would suit Lex Luthor and personally I like Rachel Brosnahan for Lois. I also wanted to say that Jacob Elordi, if they ultimately decide to recast Ezra Miller, could be a good pick for Barry Allen/Flash. As for Tamara Weaving, well, if we do get a Green Arrow movie, I think she would be a good pick to play Black Canary, just my thoughts as I watched this videos. Take care Boba!
Did atom make the flash ring? That tech of shrinking stuff can be an atom thing, not a bruce wayne thing. So i believe batman had prior interaction with the atom and could be how he got that tech
Superman : Legacy *SHOULD BE* like the Will Smith movie “Hancock” and just have Clark flying around helping people… keep the action to a minimal until the ending. This movie being dialogue heavy would be a amazing.
Im gonna call it: Other flash becomes reverse flash because the only reason he becomes flash is because previous Barry comes back to prevent his moms murder, but other flash needs her dead in order to gain his powers
@@michaelkaggwa4915 That’s a point. I forgot she would still be playing Harcourt in the Gunnverse (presumably). Might she be able to play Harcourt in this Superman movie though. With Gunn writing and directing- absolutely lol
My guess on the lightning situation because (as far as I can remember), the lightning is blue whenever he isn't in the new flash suit. The real reason for it is likely just so while they're speeding around, you're able to differentiate between which Barry is which with an obvious color difference. But the movie reason would prob be like, the new suit allows for Barry's speed to be more concentrated and thus its orange rather than blue
@BobaTalks Yeah I can understand that and it's def what I'd much rather prefer to it being only a suit thing, though I just don't see how they could upgrade Barry's lightning in the 1st act of the movie since I feel like it'd have to be a significant story point. And the reason I'm saying it'd need to be first act is cuz when Barry goes back in time in the trailer, his lightning's already orange. Unless the scene they used was from the end where Barry fixes the timeline by letting his mom die.
I think in The Flash Movies, his lighting is only yellow when he's in the suit, for what reason Idk. Probably helps him connect to the speed force more 🤷🏽♂️.
I think the suit changes his color somehow, maybe the suit is made out of tachyon nano technology that boosts how much speed he can draw from the speed force
In the first part of the video, all the questions about the color of the lightning and the emphasis on every little detail on the special effects can be cool but is also one of the reasons why it is almost impossible to please the ''true'' fans today. In the 70s and 80s, we were only satisfied if the special effects were cool and as close to reality as possible. We could see, in 1984, that the Terminator coming out of the fire was in stop-motion but it was cool and it was the best we could do. We appreciated the effort. Today, because of CGI, we expect perfection and question each millimeter of film... and the color of the lightning... How can you possibly satisfy the public with so much exaggerated scrutiny?
Questioning the colour of the lightning wasn't scrutiny from me at all, that was genuinely speculation about the story! Since we know Barry goes from blue lightning to yellow, and so I was wondering how that upgrade would happen :) As for the CGI in the flash ring scene on Barry's face.. I think it's valid to critique VFX when it's that noticeable. It doesn't really dampen my experience when watching the movie personally, but it does come under the umbrella of what goes into making a movie. I never really expect perfection though, unless they want to spend 10 years making a movie like James Cameron does :P
@@BobaTalks Believe me, I really like your videos and I always click the ''thumb'' because I like to encourage you :) I understand very well the pleasure of speculating what is to come. In a way, we were doing the same thing back then in the schoolyard as we wondered what would happen in ''The Return Of The Jedi'' based on what we had seen a hundred times in ''The Empire Strikes Back''. My criticism is more one on our time than on you in particular. However, I admit that when I heard you talk about the colors of lightning and the details of the different faces seen in the special effects, I said to myself: ''Dear God allmighty! How can we even think of satisfying all these followers with so many questions about so many small details!''. Even I understand the fun in the thing but I still find that it was easier to satisfy us back then than it is today. But then again, I'm old. You'll see, you'll get there someday... :) keep up the passion and the good work! You are very interesting to listen to.
Their has never been a movie done like it from DC comics movies to be able to look at the past of both the flash and DC comics movies to be able to see a batman like Michael Keaton and man of steel movie and supergril and the flash past to make up the movie
The CGI can be better but I don't care ! The Flash movie will be great ! Ezra millers acting just seems so powerful and like ZSJL , Barry is not just comic relief . he is a real character. This is going to be great ! Forgive and forget !
Fantastic video keep it up you're doing amazing things also in my opinion they should cast Turkish actress called aslihan malbora as Lois Lane in my opinion or as Supergirl in superman films coming up.
When I think of someone who could be Superman for the next decade the David corenswet look works, I think hault would be good but long term him being the face of the hero would be something I’d need to see to believe
Is it cause he looks like cavil ? And what you said about hoult is the same thing they said about Chris reeves when he auditioned. They believed just because he was skinny that he didn't fit.
@@logan2b Negative cornswet is not really skinny. Ive watched plenty interviews. You can tell he's thick. Not buff but heft although he doesn't look like superman. He looks like a henery cavil almost look alike. Hoult to me has a young Christopher reeves vibe. The thing about reeves Clark was that he wasn't sexy. He was a nerd and he looked the part so when he became superman with the hair change, posture change, and the essentuated muscular assests in a spandex suit you believed they were two different people. Hoult has that ginuin nerd look like Clark should have and he can allso change and be believable when going for a good looking male lead. But what I've noticed with henerys Clark and superman is everyone's just focused on how sexy cavil is all the time. That's not that versatile and it makes less of a low profile when the concept is to be two different people. Everyone wants another henery cavil but that's like listening to Bruno Mars and then listening to another Bruno Mars sound alike and look alike. They're both alive and so close together. It starts to feel like a cheap knock off but to continue a legacy so distant away from eachother time with elements that were set in stone like that of Christopher's interpretation of superman that created the path as a pioneer gives audiances an opertunity to become less atached to recent concepts connected to the snider verse and more committed to things in the script that may change to reflect a new story aside from current DCEU.
@@YEAR-1-RELICS Ok so I get what you’re saying, and I agree in that I wish there was someone in the current crop of actors who we’ve heard are in the running who based purely off looks looked like Superman but not so similar to Cavill. But to me out of the current names in the running based purely off of appearance I think Corenswet looks the most like Superman, even more than cavill. I can’t really separate Superman’s appearance from that of Christopher reeve and to a lesser extent all the other actors who have played Superman/Clark before. I also agree cavill’s clark was not nerdy enough, but hypothetically if they do cast corenswet they can give him a come over or whatever when he’s Clark and make him hunch his shoulders. Where Cavill’s Clark was pretty stern and serious you can make the new Clark a bit more of stumbling awkward but nice guy, it’s not all physical it’s also about how they act. Whoever they cast has to bulk up so the whole skinny argument doesn’t really apply, I haven’t went looking but to me none of these guys are in superhero shape yet. Look if they cast Hoult I won’t be any less excited for this movie, because we can all agree we are hoping for a great adaptation of superman, and I trust James Gunn to give that to us whoever he casts.
@@logan2b I think casting cornswet would be more fan service at most because of his similarities to cavil. He looks like a young version of him but in no way would I ever go far enough to say that cornswet looks more like superman than cavil just like i wouldnt say cavil looks more superman than reeves. That's just not the case. I love cavil and he was an awesome superman yet Iread the novels and grew up with reeves as superman. The essential superman. I miss that nerd side of Clark and allso this genuine kindness and innocents in his eyes. Hoult has that. I believe that is a good reason for a better casting choice. Hoult wouldn't have to try hard to be this upstanding, farm boy nerdy guy because he is a genuine upstanding nerd guy who's allso played a farm boy before and on top of that many high quality performances in film already. One being his experience in a comic book movie, Minus him already working with Warner brothers aswell in his mad max film.. more of a zaney performance but still shows his acting chops and hilights the fact that he's been contracted with the company before.
Sky Diving into Fiction the series is laying a ground for the movie ( so that ppl after watching the series they can understand what will be in the movie )
Total disagree with you about Nicholas Holt. I think he's by far the best choice for Superman. He even has the steel blue eyes. He also has a very sweet smile that I think is way more like Clark Kent than any of the other choices.
Having not seen anything from Elordi or Corenswet(I do plan on watching pearl), just based off look, I would go Elordi. He’s an inch taller, 4 years younger, but Corenswet might be the best overall choice. He seems like he has that heart and humanity that James Gunn talked about. And not that it matters at all, but I believe he’s Jewish, and the creators of Superman were Jewish, so that would be cool.
Henry Cavill was very good injustice, Superman, but not the main superman. I believe Snyder was building an injustice universe, not the main dc universe, because we see Cavil's Superman losing his son and Lois just like the dc injustice universe.
Older Barry has blue lightning until he recreates the circumstances that gave him his powers, so that he can give younger Barry HIS powers. Well that probably caused older Barry to lose HIS abilities. Then when he inevitably gets them back, for whatever reason, his lightning is then yellow instead of blue. Make sense? 🤣

I like how James gunn was like “we’re not gonna have 5 batmen” but we literally are: Keaton, Affleck, Pattinson, and the new DCU Batman lol
Doctor POO he was David not James gunn who said so
Nope, it's just Pattinson in the elseworlds universe and DCU Batman when the DCU begins. This movie was made long before Gunn came in as head of DC. (Also, Zaslav said that and he was referring to the future).
The eyebrows are different in the first clip where you talk about the CGI face and suit. Keep up the Flash-tastic work my friend!!
Michael Keaton perfected playing multiple versions of yourself in Multiplicity
I literally don’t see what your talking about the cgi
Loved Corenswet in the politician! He was in there briefly, but he exudes Clark Kent/Superman!
I think Christopher Reeve was 24 when he was first cast in the Superman role.
Superman should be at least six foot-four
Corenswet should be a lock for Superman/Kent, Hoult for Luthor and Emma Mackey for Lois. Others aren't even in contention for me.
Love the casting if it’s real.
So satisfying when you find a video to watch with lunch!
Hope you enjoy the ramble Paul! :)
I like the smart and intelectual Lex like the one in Titans
Lex has always been intellectual
Tom Britney is perfect for Superman Legacy
And Nicholas Cage for Lex Luthor.
The investigation into these trailers are way too much 😒
There are people already complaining the casting looks too white for Superman... ffs, I hate this time we live in for this kinda stuff.
homey nobody is saying that here. What kind of rage bait are you trying to induce with this nonsense.
Jesus the right wing white guy victim crap is so deeply embarrassing.
Wow... Corenswet looks even more like Superman than Cavill.
I'm 1000% on board with this. 👍👍👍
Cornswet looks like the one. C’mon Cornswet, Kansas, Midwest it works
26:52 Samara Weaving is the one who looks like Margot Robbie not Emma Mackey.
Lots of people say it about Mackey too.
Frank Grillo was on Michael Rosenbaum inside of you podcast and said he's been hired by Gunn for DC.
Yup, he's in Creature Commando's playing Rick Flag Sr.
I have always thought Nicolas Holt would be an amazing Riddler
Exactly
Did atom make the flash ring? That tech of shrinking stuff can be an atom thing, not a bruce wayne thing. So i believe batman had prior interaction with the atom and could be how he got that tech
Superman : Legacy *SHOULD BE* like the Will Smith movie “Hancock” and just have Clark flying around helping people… keep the action to a minimal until the ending. This movie being dialogue heavy would be a amazing.
have you ever seen a james gunn movie? xD
Unfortunately
Im gonna call it:
Other flash becomes reverse flash because the only reason he becomes flash is because previous Barry comes back to prevent his moms murder, but other flash needs her dead in order to gain his powers
1 # Corenswet and 2 # Wolfgang ..Top for me
Wolfgang for me is number 1
David Corenswet will be awesome as Superman in James Gunn’s DC universe
I am new to your channel and I’m really digging it bro. Very insightful and I love your good energy.🤙
Thanks for the kind words and watching Craig! :)
Josh Andrés Rivera, neeeds to play Clark. He played Chino in westside story, which captured Reeve's Clark Kent to a tee.
Only one person cast so far in Superman: Legacy. Jennifer Holland? Lol
Michael Evans She is not cast any where however she is among the ppl to stay in DCU
I'm kinda hoping he actually upgrades within the speedforce levels, rather than it just being a suit thing.
I'm not surprised reverse flash isn't in the movie.
I think in The Flash Movies, his lighting is only yellow when he's in the suit, for what reason Idk. Probably helps him connect to the speed force more 🤷🏽♂️.
Fantastic choices!
Bradley Cooper would be such a cool Two-Face
If Jacob is gonna be in the dcu i think he would be r good red hood or black shirt superboy. i think those r the roles he would be perfect for.
Hey what about Bradley Cooper as Jonathan Kent?
I think the suit changes his color somehow, maybe the suit is made out of tachyon nano technology that boosts how much speed he can draw from the speed force
Sal from Corries daughter Phoebe would be a nice Weatherfield link after Bill and Linus Roache in the Nolanverse
I like Tom Hopper for Superman.
It's the suit.. it makes the color change
Interesting Fact: The “older Barry” is really Jimmy Fallon
When it goes to slow mo with the suit, it almost looks like Robert Pattinson. lol
After i saw bradley in war dogs i saw him as lex but i think hed b perfect for hal jordan
Perfect!
His suit changes his lightnings color bc it connects him to the speed force more is my theory
Since we know Barry goes from blue lightning to yellow, and so I was wondering how that upgrade would happen :)
As for the CGI in the flash ring scene on Barry's face..
Boba could do a video on suit designs you think they should/could use for Superman?
I think the suit might play a factor into the lightning change
Their has never been a movie done like it from DC comics movies to be able to look at the past of both the flash and DC comics movies to be able to see a batman like Michael Keaton and man of steel movie and supergril and the flash past to make up the movie
The CGI can be better but I don't care ! The Flash movie will be great !
Ezra millers acting just seems so powerful and like ZSJL , Barry is not just comic relief . he is a real character. This is going to be great ! Forgive and forget !
Good news roundup.
I think flashes lighting goes from blue to orange/yellow bc he got a double dose of the accident that made him
I would prefer a black lex Luther. Either Damson idris or Lakeith Stanfield
technically Corenswet sounds more as Superman than Elody
Fantastic video keep it up you're doing amazing things also in my opinion they should cast Turkish actress called aslihan malbora as Lois Lane in my opinion or as Supergirl in superman films coming up.
Nicholas Hoult is a strong enough actor to bring charm to Superman and/or bring swarm to Lex Luther. No Jesse Eisenberg, please😝😎
@@YEAR-1-RELICS they’re both skinny rn, but in terms of facial structure and whatnot corenswet looks more like Superman to me
@@logan2b
Negative cornswet is not really skinny.
@@logan2b
I think casting cornswet would be more fan service at most because of his similarities to cavil.
WOOOO🎉❤
The flash show did this two episodes ago
Sky Diving into Fiction the series is laying a ground for the movie ( so that ppl after watching the series they can understand what will be in the movie )
I see superman with this guy David
Total disagree with you about Nicholas Holt. I think he's by far the best choice for Superman. He even has the steel blue eyes. He also has a very sweet smile that I think is way more like Clark Kent than any of the other choices.
They released the whole movie in those spots and trailers
Having not seen anything from Elordi or Corenswet(I do plan on watching pearl), just based off look, I would go Elordi. He’s an inch taller, 4 years younger, but Corenswet might be the best overall choice. He seems like he has that heart and humanity that James Gunn talked about. And not that it matters at all, but I believe he’s Jewish, and the creators of Superman were Jewish, so that would be cool.
Its David tht will be Superman
Henry Cavill was very good injustice, Superman, but not the main superman. I believe Snyder was building an injustice universe, not the main dc universe, because we see Cavil's Superman losing his son and Lois just like the dc injustice universe.
Older Barry has blue lightning until he recreates the circumstances that gave him his powers, so that he can give younger Barry HIS powers. Well that probably caused older Barry to lose HIS abilities. Then when he inevitably gets them back, for whatever reason, his lightning is then yellow instead of blue.
Make sense? 🤣
Bradley cooper could make a great Oliver Queen
So no one is talking about Aaron Taylor Johnson for Superman!?... Holt for Lex and Samara for Lois would be cool.
Dam that's bad casting tbh
@@ahmadmohammed4212 haven't you heard, nothing is perfect on this planet!!!
