I'm going to go ahead and advocate for YYYYMMDD slashes dashes or whatever I can take or leave but that format is bloody great. The great things about it
1) No one is using YYYYDDMM so there is no confusion when reading a date in this format
2) If you order it alphabetically it's still in chronological order
3) Databases except dates in this format without having to be told what format it is which is a problem if the database is set to American format and you aren't American which is the default because Microsoft/Oracle are American and they make the most popular database systems.
4) when measuring anything else you start from the most significant bit and move to the least significant bit you don't write 1,000 like 000,1 so this should apply to dates as well.

Actually the meme having arabic names used to be a trend in every arabic speaking coutry due to a video that featured a khaliji naming his cats with long wierd arabic names and showing them to the public. It was a trend in Egypt too.
Firefox comes pre-installed on some linux distributions - at least I had it pre-installed on my Pop OS. And as far as computers are concerned, Chrome is not pre installed on any system. Although, all phones except maybe apples do have all google products by default. Most people just install it cause when they use google, it annoys them instantly to do so. But I am on windows rn and I don't have chrome installed even after 3 years of using same PC.
All of the theories i have seen so far:
