I just watched it. It was incredibly well-made. Heartbreaking and beautiful.
Wonderfull series now on the ABC and iview in Australia certainly harrowing but the most thought provoking television I have watched in many years thankyou all involved.
Really enjoying this drama! It's very well acted. I've had feelings of deja Vu. It's an interesting exploration of that, and so many different scenarios...very clever idea! The attention to detail of all the different eras is very impressive!
Remarkably brilliant! from start to finish.
I just finished watching it and I really enjoyed it. This adaptation is very poetic, very delicate (I found the first episode especially beautiful, even though, as someone who almost lost their baby at birth, it was really difficult).
There are only 4 episodes is that the end ?

Found this really intriguing. Some element of truth to it. The idea of life being a type of sophisticated simulation in which we learn and grow from our choices and experiences.

Didn’t read the book but just watched the whole series on BBC I player. What a great story line and so well acted by both young and adult Ursula’s. Thomasin McKenzie takes over from the child actors Eliza Riley and Isla Johnston. Thomasin McKenzie was superb.

It was such a sad scene when Ursula had heard Teddy died and went out ro the street with a pale face and shaking body, but when she bumped into her horrible husband from a previous life and screamed at him it was really funny.
It was a primal scream, and brilliantly acted.

Reincarnation used to appeal to me greatly as a child in times of severe depression/darkness,...however now I'm adult i truly can't think of anything worse than the sweet release of death being a con.... as then immediately having to go through life over & over & over & ov.......😱😱😱😭😭😭

its not over over over i think person or soul need more experience that you can learn in 1 life and if yo learn what you need to you will not be needed another reincarnation i think life here is just elementary school where you get basics and then we pass on on something better

We have this on the ABC now. Great series. Love it. It’s giving you a glimpse into the truth so you’ll escape this spiritual prison. Of course once the body dies, your relatives will believe you’re a different person, in fact, you’re just in a different body.
Good luck to everyone who takes interest in this subject. You already know the truth. One day we will all remember.
Having read the book twice and it being one of my favourite novels I was slightly nervous about how it would be adapted for the screen. Happy to say it is a success. Yes, it misses the depth of the relationships between family members, backstory, character etc, but is inevitable with what is a very tight compact 4-part series. It focuses more on the rebirth angle, which (for me) was just a device in the book to explore much broader themes, and also to chronicle the life of a family in the first half of the 20th Century. The chapters in the book covering WWII are devastating. Still, the casting is superb (all except Pamela, who for me wasn't as I imagined but that's a personal thing). Ursula is beautifully drawn, in all incarnations. Try and read the book first before watching!

I just finished the novel- outstanding. It's one of those novels where it is so engrossing that I will actually miss the characters and their world. Hope this series comes to the US.

They did a fantastic job adapting this amazing story! The only thing I hated was saying goodbye to these characters again. P.s. "I'm mad, bad, and a danger to know!" Fantastic casting, especially with Izzy ❤

Wow! That's a masterpiece. I love it whole. The acting, the scenario, the filming... That's, in my opinion, is BBC at their best. More is required.
