Yeah, but does anybody really realisticly believe that their relationship has a chance in the long run? There are so many obstacles to overcome and so much middle ground resolutions that everybody will be unhappy because everybody thinks they got nothing. Maybe only since women could own property themselves & not cede everything to their husband on marriage? Before that it was a contractual, business matter often also arranged by families. They would take children's preferences into account, but....still more a matter of money, economics, status and the social fit than anything. And you were stuck for life, no easy divorce, what we would call abuse today was condoned.
@@kathydurow6814 well we’re still turning a blind eye to arranged marriages, quasi servitude and honour killings in UK 2022...
what a fusion of different actors and cultures and themes and ideas. Really excited to see this one .
Yeayy. Lily James is back.
It seems she is in almost every English movie. She is great, of course, but I've always wondered why frequently the same actors appear in most England movies and series,
I haven't been this excited for a new movie in so long
This is just the trailer and I'm sobbing! Plus the background track by Ellie Goulding, cherry on the cake. Here come the waterworks
I like the balance to it. They played with cultural norms instead of shamed them.
This feels like a better-cast version of 'My Best Friend's Wedding'.
I don't know because her questions seem to be cultural rather than she wanting to be with him. The trailer doesn't show her sabotaging either, but we'll see.
@@Cantetinza17 she better not sabotage lol
@@kimberlycease6171 I don't think she will, but I do think that she's gonna ask a lot of questions that will make him question.
My Best Friend's Wedding is an all-time classic. Something that this project is very unlikely to ever become.
I was thinking that too!
Wow! Looks interesting. I love Lily James and Emma Thompson and add Sajal to the mix, what's not to like?!
Looks like a sequel/ spin off to Love Actually and this is Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman's daughter 😆
omg a premise that's actually original? insane, delightful
I love it already.
So so proud of u sajal aly im sure u gonna rock this as well
OMG Shabana Azmi is in this! Also, what a lovely cast! 👏🏽
watched this film when it came out and just rewatched it today( 28th of march 2024) and all I can say is that I still love this movie as much as I loved it whenn it first came out and when i watched it for the first time.Absolutely love the cast especially sajal ali(i'm pakistani and she is my favourite pakistani actress). emma thompson and lily james, the other cast memebrs were also really good, we get to see alot of things that are noermal in our society and how men and women face different problems, cried like a baby every single time when i watched the movie becaise the last scene where the sister comes bacl with her baby and husband always makes me cry so bad, i could go on forever about this movie but i think this is enough for now, ooh also last thing love the colours and cinematography of the movie, do watch it if you havent yet, it's an amazing watch
Oh my goodness, this looks amazing!
real romcoms are coming back!!
I don’t want it to see a best friends to lover cliche.i hope the the movie portrays something different. Moreover It'd be nice to see a journey of finding self love instead of ending up with their bestfriend.
I love Lily James.. and Shabana Azmi..
I'm excited about this, it looks really good. ☺️
I am a huge Star Trek Discovery fan and I loved Shazad Latif on the first few seasons. I can't wait to see him in this movie. He plays the love interest for anyone that doesn't know.
looks good. now that we’ve all just seen it i look forward to the sequel
This looks good….finally an interesting plot
Loved her in Yesterday!
"YOU GROW TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU'RE WITH"
"WHAT LIKE STOCKHOLM SYNDROME"
Honestly, yes.
Feels like I have watched the entire movie here. Thanks!
Sajal Aly making Pakistan 🇵🇰 proud everytimeee
Definitely gonna be watching it !
Looks so good, hope it comes to Montreal.
i'm so relieved that it seems the childhood friends won't end together and she questioning “Am I just half a person when I’m not with a man?”
I like it. Seems quite nice and wholesome!
Im in for this one - looks good and different
I can't wait to watch it 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love this trailer SO much more than the actual film 😂 The film was a bit too caught up in serious family issues… But with the trailer I can only see the happy parts and I love that 😅
Totally here for a romcom 🥰
I’m very excited to see this movie.
Love to see Clem Fandango out of the recording booth and finding love
I've been waiting for this 🤩
The title has a copyright infringement. There's already a movie called "what's love got to do with it" that's about Tina Turner.
Exactly!! This is ridiculous!!
This looks really good. Can't wait to watch it!
What a cast.
They should call this film “Love contractually”
“Am I just half a person when I’m not with a man?” Ooooof I felt what she was feeling. Being single hits differently everyday you get older. Wish we were all kinder to ourselves and others.
Can't wait to watch this!
I‘m already looking forward to watching this movie!
2:15 No freaking way, that is Rahat Fateh Ali Khan! He's a legend.
Also, that cute first attempt of Assalamu'alaikum. 🤗
Great cast tbh and story line looks interesting !!! Defo looking forward to this
This is a very bold title for this movie.
positive culture appreciation. I love it. high hopes for this movie
I feel like this is gonna be utter heartbreak in the end
This looks really promising!
I personally want to see that aranged marriage is working out. Cause it's always showed as bad thing, but sometimes it works out well. And then I want her to find someone at the wedding so we get part 2
Am I the only one who's disappointed that they put Ellie Goulding's "Still falling for you" instead of Tina Turner's "What's love got to do with it."?
Okay, this trailer has done what it wanted to and made me interested in the movie.
That 1st clip! 😂
Looks good!
AYYYYYEEEEEE!! Looks Good🔥🔥🔥I’m trying to get my subscribers up too💯keep it up❤
It's "My Best Friend's Wedding" meets "Something Borrowed" 🤣
I am so in awe with this ahhh cant wait
AHH can't wait for this one just the song alone makes me want to watch it ASAP
The makers of this movie will have to change the name of this movie because
What's Love Got to Do with It is a 1993 film based on the life of musical icon Tina Turner.
Yeh, first I thought this was a remake.
Exactly!!!! What nonsense is this?
Trailer torn my heart, I don't know what movie do with me😍😍♥️💔
I love 3 minute movies
Love Lily
I really hope the arrange marriage works, its good representation of culture and gives it a good platform to be understood
SHEKHAR KAPUR HAS DIRECTED THIS?! BRB SCREAMING!
as a Pakistani super excited for a film where we're not the bad guy lol
Considering white men enslaved pakistan people. They should be the bad guy. And they also killed white women who were married to pakistan men. And hurt mixed race children.
Loved this movie... Give it a watch !
