Exactly. I agree with you with the cockpit sticking out too much. Yes its accurate but even the original G1 toys did it better with not too much of it sticking out. And also yes the engineering could be better considering its a leader class. When we try to justify this, everyone started pissing off and ignore all the weaknesses just because one factor - accuracy, and act like its ok having a damn leader class like this. Its not entirely bad, but it is still unfinished. its just an ok figure at best.
That jet mode is an aberration! How can Hasbro be so lazy with the engineering of this figure, while reducing the amount of plastic used and charging more for it?
I TOTALLY agree with you. I was looking forward to finally getting a decent modern version of G1 Blitzwing. I wasn’t impressed with the TR or Thrilling 30 versions but after seeing this, I would say those figures are way better than this dud. I’ll definitely be keeping my TR version. Thanks for doing this comparison video!
I feel like the Titans Return feels like the transformation is in service of the alt modes..and slightlly sacrificed the bot mode. Legacy did the reverse...I think for some that MAY make them even. But I'll be getting the Legacy version since the bot mode is better. I won't be selling my Takara Legends..i'll keep it. The only gripe I have is they didn't go with the animation coloring. And the gauntlets are one of the most confusing accessories I've ever seen packaged with a transformer...it's almost like an afterthought throw in for a canceled combiner.
Such a shame after all the others they have been knocking out of the park. Just received my 86 Perceptor and that one was damn good. Still waiting on Sludge and next year when I get Megs/Hiss tank.

The robot _looks_ fine, but the arms are super restricted, the tank mode is compromised because they preferred to go for cartoon accuracy instead of a good looking tank and the jet mode is atrocious, not to mention these accessories are the most "tacked on to justify price increase" out of all the voyager sized "Leader" class toys so far.
That’s a fair review Chef’. I never meant to buy this guy cause Amazon wanted AU$104 for it! But I accidentally saw it in JB-HiFi for AU$74 and couldn’t resist picking one up. Having said that, it is a bit of mixed bag I feel. I really like bot mode and I mostly like tank mode though the sticky outy cockpit is a bit Magoo. Jet mode. I started to accept it but then after hearing your take on it I’ve come away feeling disappointed with this mode. Over all, I love messing about with it, possibly because it’s a triple, that said I’d give it a solid 6/10. 3points off for jet mode 1 point off for that cockpit.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who has a problem with the jet mode, when the pictures first started coming out I kept seeing everyone describing it as being "great with just a bit of kibble", when it's like ok here's the jet and also the giant pallet of cinderblocks it's strapped to. I can dismiss the tank cannon, but the huge rectangular slabs that don't even attempt to blend in with the jet mode just ruin it for me
oh hear you bro, when i saw PvP's video and he felt ok with the Jet mode, i was like... wait what? really?! that thing is a flying brick! come on! HasTak dropped the ball on this one...
Great review chefs, I agree the titans return one is way better especially if you have the Takara legends one. It scales well too. Gonna skip this one unless he is on clearance otherwise no go
Thank you for your review. I'll definitely add him to my SS '86 cast 😃 Btw it's not really a leader class toy but a voyager. The jet is actually based of the Soviet MIG-25 jet.
The cartoon accuracy is unreal. I wish Hasbro will rerelease Megatron, Optimus and Arcee to nail their cartoon accuracy. On Megatron, I understand Hasbro's position on his luger mode, BUT, they could easily make his alt mode an unrealistic looking laser blaster. The whole tank thing is a creatively bankrupt approach.
oh man i've been saying that for years now... a g1 megatron that transforms into a pistol slight modifications to look like a nerf gun... the henkei version was a good start... but severely flawed with all the kibble... i wish they could just improve on that
This is how they should do all transformers. It’s a upscaled love letter to G1. There’s nothing insulting to sticking with the diaclone looks and engineering
So many misses for the Legacy line, I prefer the Studio Series and the Masterpiece line, but this figure is really good for a Legacy line. A definite must-buy for all Blitzwing fans.
I really wish that cockpit stub could recess, because it's just way too big. 3 times as big as the animation model, so they can't claim it is animation-accurate. Speaking of animation accurate; why did Hasbro give him a red cockpit? It was silver on the toy and a turquoise blue in the cartoon, the blue would have really helped to improve the general aesthetic for this figure in both jet and tank mode. Another minor nitpick is that the head looks sort of off since the sides are left yellow instead of painted purple like the cartoon. As for the whole undercarriage issue, I actually believe the fix is the opposite of what you suggested. Instead of folding it up underneath (which would make the undercarriage even bulkier), I personally believe they should have had the treads fold outwards and compress upwards so that it could somewhat replicate the biplane look of the original toy. I feel like they came so close, and yet so far at the same time. If they had just ditched those silly giant hands and put the budget towards tidying up the alt modes/accuracy some more, I think it could have been a fairly nice figure. As it is, I'm debating whether I should bother getting this or trying to track down the Takara Legends version of the TR Blitzwing for a decent price. While that one looks better in the alt modes and is more accurate colour-scheme wise, it also has the unnecessary headmaster gimmick which makes it not quite the best.
same bro. yes good point! yeah, i can see that... i like your suggestion better yes agree LOL hahaha oh yeah, useless accessories... i mean the budget spent on those could have been used on the figure.... well, if they end up costing you the same... i say go with the Takara Tomy Legends Blitzwing
Okayyy... Robot mode: looks cool, very G1, fit in WFC Astrotrain scale. Tank mode: congratulations BW, Cobra H.I.S.S. is no longer the more exposed of the armored land vehicles because that frontal tiny cockpit with red glass is a perfect bullseye. Jet(?) mode: HOW THE HELL IS THAT THING GOING TO FLY?!!! Well, at least this voyager... wait... LEADER CLASS!!! Final thoughts: there is smarter engineering in my core class Rattrap than is this paperweight. Too bad Cashbro is getting full of greed. One question, Cheff: Are those "combiner hand like things" be able to attach on the top of the tank mode as extra cannons? Btw great video and very nice touch with the weight comparisson.
yes agree on bot mode hahahaha so true about the tank mode LOL hahahahaha , i know right?! the jet mode is just stupid!!! hahahah yes agree man! yeah, if you notice, at the end of the video, i had one of the energon hands attached to the tank turret on his back in robot mode 🙂
The robot mode is super sick, like how detailed it is. The tank mode is sick but cockpit can be seen and feels wierd and I dont like it. The jet is bad, you can see the tank parts.
Damn, man. I'm kinda glad I saw your review of Legacy Blitzwing. I was thinking of getting him, since I always liked him and have the G1 version. But when the original 80s toy looks better than one from almost 40 years later, that seems like a problem. 😔
That jet mode is indeed an insult to the fans. Tank mode definetly better than TR. Robot mode more G1 accurate. As I display my TFs in robot mode I think I am going to get him. Yes it makes no sense to sell a Voyager as a Leader class with 2 useless accessories. At least with Astrotrain (which is actually a Voyager too) you got a useful add-on which added to the locomotive and could be used as a launch station in shuttle mode.
I am just not into this, but good on those who are. It's not even the price point, I just think it's not as good. I think I was spoiled with siege leader shockwave and legacy galvatron. I worry less about the size of the figure but more about the quality. Anyway great review and thanks for your reactions. My fav part of this video is, "this one's starting to look really nice" talking about gen blitzwing's alt mode lol.
I don't have a blitzwing so I have no choice but to get him its the cheapest one and though I like titans return I hate the detachable head maybe there's a fan jet mode but I will be getting this guy thank you for your honest opinions as always chef when it comes to reviewing figures
WOW - I thought this would be same size as Titans Return BW for sure. He looks great but as NOW - I'm not a rush to replace him. I though for sure they should be a bigger than Octane or the same size.
I really understand your frustrations on it, something about the bicep articulation with that weird flap feels awkward, but I still kinda want it honestly. I wonder if Hobby Korner's price on this is justified 'cause Toys R Us/Toy Kingdom price is so DAMN RIDICULOUS
I think Blitzwing should have been released in the Studio 86 line with two different versions like they did with SS Dropkick and Shatter but at a $30 price point. That way we could get perfect alt modes for both the tank and the jet.
Ngl I'm just going to wait for people to sell their titans return or generations ones since they are not only cheaper but bigger, more articulated and arguably have better alt modes.
@@tfsomegaguy6203 whilst i do agree that the extra head and wrist articulation is a huge plus with this version the titans return version has superior shoulder and hip articulation which personally i value more than a waist swivel so in my opinion its a worthy sacrifice especially for what in my opinion are superior alt modes and a much more reasonable price. I'm glad that you like this but personally i don't feel that it justifies the price so i will be skipping it unless it goes on sale.
@@Frogadier_00 i honestly think that the robot mode looks really good in a static pose but those shoulder joints really don't look that good or work well in my opinion and for £55+ it should really be a lot better. the hip joints could also be much better considering what they've done with siege starscream, earthrise prime and many more.
That landing gear kind of saved the Jet mode for me. I traded in my TR Blitzwing for TR Sixshot, so I have to get this guy. Not that I dislike TR Blitzwing, but he’s a bit too tall standing next to my WFC/SS86 Decepticons.
I lost it when i saw pics of the useless gauntlets in other reviews bro 😂😂 I thought you might save this figure despite its flaws but glad you stayed true to what fans want. Honestly I think this Blitzwing failed too hard and even with the tank mode, it deserves a 4/10. To this day (i could be one of few who think this), the Animated Blitzwing and Generations Blitzwing with the 3 faces are the best Blitzwings released by Hasbro and Takara. Hey great review! Keep it going!
hahahaha .... well, i tried so hard to be positive for this figure bro... the struggle was real LOL yeah, my first rating was really a 4 hey, man i kinda agree with you on the animated blitzwing... people were hating on that figure when it first came out, i was one of the few who really praised it 🙂 thanks so much my friend, as always 🙂
You're so right. I really wish I had got the TR version. The 'eggplant' kibble in tank mode and horrendous tank kibble in jet mode are really lazy. I'll pick this up only if he goes on clearance like for $40 tops. Still happy with my Thrilling 30's version. They should've just given us the G1 version with modern engineering.
Man I don't know...I have this on pre-order but I'm really just not sold on this. I have the titans return one, which I really like. Is the plastic quality and general feel any better? Is it a better quality build? I just can't make up my mind and these things are getting so expensive 😩
well if you already have it on pre-order then i suggest you just wait for it and then decide which one you want to keep once you can compare both legacy and TR versions... plastic quality on this one is ok.
It makes ma sad that my doubts are confirmed :(. I found one positive - in tank mode it's ramming tank, that's what sticking cockpit at the front and thrusters at the back are for.
Very fair review Chef. Thanks for being brutally honest and not just gushing over a new release. What a shame, Siege Astrotrain is so awesome, but this is just a lost opportunity. Glad I still have my Titans Blitzwing. Love the beating at the end :D
hahaha thank you so much bro! yeah, you guys know me, i keep it 100% and honest... i say it how it is... i mean PvP was gushing over this thing and i was like... really bro?! LOL hahaha yeah, i had to do a little beat up skit LOL
Well I was excited to pick this guy up but not anymore. And that's not your fault. Sometimes it takes an objective perspective to point out the glaring faults that were right in my face to begin with. I would've been fine with this as a Voyager but you're right. We should expect more from a Leader Class.
well, i still would like to apologize for disillusioning you on this figure bro, but yeah, i was just being honest man... PvP really praised this figure, and i honestly could not see all the positives he pointed out with this figure... it's just an insulting figure for the loyal TF fans who have stuck it out with hasbro and refrained from getting the 3rd Party products... thanks for your thoughts man, i appreciate it 🙂
The PHP 2300, 2600, and 2800 Blitzwings I see on Shopee, and that's before coupons, are very tempting, especially during the 11.11 sale, and maybe 12.12 too, but I kind of want to sample the figure via borrowing someone's first, to see how I feel before I commit any money to this. How bothered am I gonna be with that jet and, surprisingly not so much the tank cockpit, but the gaping hole right above it? I can only imagine them as Cybertronian vehicles so much. My LG59 Blitzwing that I got for 2500 shortly before this was revealed does slightly annoy me now, especially storing the Titan Master in tank mode other than the turret, but there are other toys that are higher priority for me, more worth sinking money into before I do Legacy Blitzwing, like a Desire Driver. This boy is gonna look even more kawawa once that Concept Megatron is released.
1500 is your recommended price tag, huh? Alright then. Hope it drops to that level. That is, if I really feel the need to replace my LG59 as a toy representing him
@@reyonXIII it's not my recommended price tag... I mean, if you have the means, 2,500 to 3,000 is already a fair price for this figure, but I just feel, with the way the price drop trends are going for hasbro products, especially here in Manila, it's not to farfetched of an idea, to see this figure drop to that price...
Good review and my thoughts exactly on everything you said. I'd go a step further and say the faux cockpit is useless. First off the G1 toy had it in the rear with thrusters up front. Also the G1 cartoon had a protrusion which had the shape of a cut off cockpit. But not even windows. Meaning they could have engineered it far more simplistic and have it stick more true to source material.
I personally feel like his robot & tank modes look the best of all versions, so overall this Blitzwing is a win for me. The large backpack doesn't bother me at all in robot form. 100% agree that jet mode sucks tho, lol, and I agree the Titans Return jet is vastly superior. The red gauntlet/blaster/rocket add-ons here are dumb crap and went right into my drawer never to be seen again. The transformation of his legs gives me fits tho, very difficult to maneuver on mine.
I'm probably get this guy. I don't have a Blitzwing and I'll be holding out hope that Hasbro makes a new version of Lugnut to go with him. The alt mode are eh but l love how he looks in robot mode. Hopefully I can get him on sale.
I'll forgive this design if Hasbro decided to make that Tank Junk part below the jet as a Parts-Forming part. Like you can detach that junk away from the jet. But NO they didn't do it like that.
If the legs & thrusters didn't have to collapse for jet mode, there could have been some space to hide all those chunks maybe? Triple changers are my favourites but i'm torn on this. I haven't been this disappointed since Kingdom Magnus was the laziest update of Siege & not a real earth mode. Saying all that i do still have TR Broadside..... but I'd maybe wait for a discount for that leader price. Such a shame.
@@chefatron having since got Blitzwing in hand...... I almost hate how much I do not hate him. Lol. Yes there were some areas I wish were better but, robot mode is the best I've had so far from Thrilling 30 & Titans Return, tank mode again is solid once in hand, it is a quality figure, partially visible head is a downer but Jet mode was my biggest concern. But I like to extend the struts forward with the little canard wings, makes him sort of a biplane. And imagining him as an A-10 or SU-25 lingering ground support attack aircraft, it kind of helps. Well it helped me. No, not perfect but I am happy I have it. Now we need a Legacy Sandstorm & Broadside. Just make Broadside a boat or sub, not an aircraft carrier, it MIGHT all make sense. Lol.
I might get it. The "hands" should have been shaped like missile clusters instead of these translucent "canons" and maybe the forearm cover things could have somehow covered the front of tank mode. The jet mode looks like something Disney or Marvel would make for a cartoon. Tank and robot mode look alright though and we will see how much fun it is to just mess with.
Thank you for at least showing a ruler with centimetres for those of us who are not old enough to understand inches (i.e. anyone who went to school after the 1960s).
I agree with you about not being a leader class. The accesories don't make it worth it. The alt modes have a lot of kibble, aren't convincing and they went very lazy again with the faux cockpit and wings. I think they missed a big chance to make a really great figure. For the meantime. I'm not sure to buy it. Has many flaws.
i know right?! they were doing so well with the War for Cybertron Trilogy lines, i don't understand why they suddenly became lazy with the Legacy line... i mean Legacy Arcee, now this... that's 2 strikes Hasbro! i have yet to review Legacy Bulkhead though...
Y'all, I been doin' some thinkin' drinkin'. What if we replaced the tank treads with thinner tank treads that transform and double as a second set of wings? That way, it give the robot mode actual wings on the back and not just faux wings for cosmetics, it gives animation accurate treads for the tank mode, and the double-wing thing for jet mode, all while doing away with that damn tank kibble on the bottom of the jet, which makes the jet, animation accurate. Just makes me wonder why Hasbro didn't do it to begin with.
So the whole issue it's just the plane mode. While I agree I can't help to see this legacy Blitzwing it's just an homage of the g1 toy. Yeah sure it's a voyager with the price of a leader but that's nothing new it should been the known by now. Accessories while lacking it is what it is. I will pick/preorder him. The TR version was ok. The tank mode was so so, the robot mode was also so so ironically the jet mode was the best part.
Blitzwings backpack is the same in the cartoon and on 3rd party mp's, that's normal, the backpack looks fine, should be exactly that. I could understand the backpack complaint on something bigger but that's just being nitpicky. Just sayn
Admittedly I was swooned by how the robot mode and the tank mode looked, and the transformation looked exciting for me. But then the lack of swivel for the arms (or how the arms articulate) and the jet mode kinda killed my desire to get this. Shame. Geez the jet looks like a babyfied caricature of itself.
yeah bro, i feel the same.. so much hype for this figure and i just don't understand all the compromises hasbro had to do given that this figure is at a leader class price point... it's selling out her in Manila for usd$80++ and that's like Toys R Us retail and Toy Kingdom retail not even hobby shops. hobby shops actually have him cheaper at usd$70+
Astrotrain looked dumb as hell in shuttle mode too, I skipped picking him up until I saw him at Ross one day for $15 - I would do the same for this to keep in bot mode only.
so ive been looking at the jet transformation again couldn't you fanmode it and keep the arms tapped into the front and flip the treads up along the body ? kid of like dx9
My personal opinion but I think I’ll save the 50 dollars and stick with my TR blitzwing it isn’t perfect either but I just like it better especially after seeing this one is once again not truly leader sized.
I have every version of the Thrilling 30's of Blitzwing including Doubledealer and I've yet to update past it or even my G1 versions. I sense a good figure trying to come out here but no dice. Also too much junk underneath that trunk, still should I see it I buy it but I won't sell my T30 version either...Great review, not sure if I'll find in my neck of the woods either...
cool siya sa cartoons bro... lahat ng G1 cartoons nung 1984-1986 naka upload sa youtube channel ng Hasbro Pulse, watch mo bro yung episodes na lumabas si blitzwing
Please explain to me why the amount of plastic should dictate price? Plastic is cheap in itself. I was always under the impression that it was number of parts because they have to mold each part, engineering, how it fits together, and the hardware that puts those parts together.
If plastic is so cheap, why are leader class figures shrinking? If parts count is what determines the price, then should we be able to get the exact same design, but upscaled bigger, for the same price?
They're cutting corners by using less plastic, possibly of comparatively inferior quality . Which is something they wouldn't need to do if plastic cost wasn't a consideration. Seems pretty self evident
@@grandiosa86 some people don't like the titans one but I have it for blitzwing and megatron and love both mine are fine I guess some say their's are floppy and stuff
I bet most of us are going to get him just for the sake of completing our wish list of new generations Decepticon triple changers… at least for me, I am going to do so
The jet mode of the original Blitzwing toy was based on the MiG-25. It had these horizontal stabilizers at the back of the plane that you can swing out to make it look more like the MiG, but the cartoons and comics neglected that. That's why I love the Titans Return/Takara Legends mold - the designers made the jet mode resemble the MiG-25 even more.
Robot mode looks nice, don't care for the tank & plain mode because they are ugly, those big hand's they just thown in to justify the price I would just throw them in the trash or let the dog chew them & doesn't go well with Astrotrain it doesn't look right to me because of the mold's if you just want to keep it in robot mode only just passable that's just my opinion.
Yeah. I'm definitely not getting this mess. I think this is solidifying my idea of just going 3rd party for the triple changers. Also, I feel like we could make a better Blitzwing by kit-bashing TR and Legacy. Tho, that would be an expensive endeavor.

Thanks for the honest review! I am tired of the sales persons' good review for any junk new releases.
no prob man, glad you enjoyed it 😀
The cartoon accuracy is unreal.
There’s nothing insulting to sticking with the diaclone looks and engineering
cool man
So many misses for the Legacy line, I prefer the Studio Series and the Masterpiece line, but this figure is really good for a Legacy line. A definite must-buy for all Blitzwing fans.
yeah, I see your point bro
Tbh the soft material on the sword also helps the durability, because a hard material thin like this sword is could snap
I suppose... but a good solid plastic of premium quality won't snap as easily, though...
While that one looks better in the alt modes and is more accurate colour-scheme wise, it also has the unnecessary headmaster gimmick which makes it not quite the best.
same bro. yes good point!
yeah, i can see that... i like your suggestion better
yes agree LOL hahaha
oh yeah, useless accessories... i mean the budget spent on those could have been used on the figure....
well, if they end up costing you the same... i say go with the Takara Tomy Legends Blitzwing
Btw great video and very nice touch with the weight comparisson.
yes agree on bot mode
hahahaha so true about the tank mode LOL
hahahahaha , i know right?! the jet mode is just stupid!!!
hahahah yes agree man!
yeah, if you notice, at the end of the video, i had one of the energon hands attached to the tank turret on his back in robot mode 🙂

Tbh I’m still buying the figure despite its flaws the kibble I can easily ignore not as bad as other figures I have.
that's cool man
That jet mode is indeed an insult to the fans. Tank mode definetly better than TR.
Robot mode more G1 accurate. As I display my TFs in robot mode I think I am going to get him.
Yes it makes no sense to sell a Voyager as a Leader class with 2 useless accessories. At least with Astrotrain (which is actually a Voyager too) you got a useful add-on which added to the locomotive and could be used as a launch station in shuttle mode.
agree man, well said!

I really understand your frustrations on it, something about the bicep articulation with that weird flap feels awkward, but I still kinda want it honestly.
I wonder if Hobby Korner's price on this is justified 'cause Toys R Us/Toy Kingdom price is so DAMN RIDICULOUS

The best G1 Blitzwing to date. Great review as always my friend 👍 😊
I would be curious what those voyager Blitzwings weigh compared to the Leader class.

Why does it have the Gundam Dantalion arms?
hahahahaha i know right?!

Um titans returns doesn’t have a waist swivel, ankle rocker, wrist swivel, and a lot of head range
@@bertyboy5928 plus legacy blitzwing looks super stiff and not that fun to pose
@@Frogadier_00 i honestly think that the robot mode looks really good in a static pose but those shoulder joints really don't look that good or work well in my opinion and for £55+ it should really be a lot better. the hip joints could also be much better considering what they've done with siege starscream, earthrise prime and many more.
that's cool man, good idea
That landing gear kind of saved the Jet mode for me. I traded in my TR Blitzwing for TR Sixshot, so I have to get this guy. Not that I dislike TR Blitzwing, but he’s a bit too tall standing next to my WFC/SS86 Decepticons.
that's cool man, yeah, this guy is in good scale with the latest Generations figures

It makes ma sad that my doubts are confirmed :(.
I found one positive - in tank mode it's ramming tank, that's what sticking cockpit at the front and thrusters at the back are for.
sorry man...

This boy is gonna look even more kawawa once that Concept Megatron is released.
just wait for it to go down to p1,500 bro 😅
Meaning they could have engineered it far more simplistic and have it stick more true to source material.
thanks so much buddy!
oh yeah, agree with you 100% very good points bro!
The transformation of his legs gives me fits tho, very difficult to maneuver on mine.
yeah I agree man
but his jet mode is still better than the SS 109 concept art Megatron's jet mode LOL
@@chefatron lol right? that Megatron alt "jet" looks more like a 'roided up version of Lazerbeak.
hahahahaha@@Astro319 yeah I see it too LOL
I'm probably get this guy. I don't have a Blitzwing and I'll be holding out hope that Hasbro makes a new version of Lugnut to go with him. The alt mode are eh but l love how he looks in robot mode. Hopefully I can get him on sale.
awesome bro!
yeah, clearance is still best
Such a shame.
yes good point man
yeah, i hear you
clearance is always best
Lol.

You crack me up on this review!
hahaha
glad you enjoyed it, man
I keep thinking the 2 small wing bits attached parts should somehow fold up and backwards to form the tailplanes
yeah, i thought that too... but alas it was really faux wings
I might get it. The "hands" should have been shaped like missile clusters instead of these translucent "canons" and maybe the forearm cover things could have somehow covered the front of tank mode. The jet mode looks like something Disney or Marvel would make for a cartoon. Tank and robot mode look alright though and we will see how much fun it is to just mess with.
hahaha so true bro, completely agree with you! LOL
The tank mode was so so, the robot mode was also so so ironically the jet mode was the best part.
oh, not just the plane mode... if you watched the entire video, i'm pretty sure i mentioned that i had other issues with this figure...
ok man.
I probably wait for sale on this one.
good decision bro!
Blitzwings backpack is the same in the cartoon and on 3rd party mp's, that's normal, the backpack looks fine, should be exactly that. I could understand the backpack complaint on something bigger but that's just being nitpicky. Just sayn
okay

The only reason Im buying this is it fits with the WFC figures, but this is not a leader price point for me
all good bro
yes not a leader class, definitely
Please explain to me why the amount of plastic should dictate price? Plastic is cheap in itself. I was always under the impression that it was number of parts because they have to mold each part, engineering, how it fits together, and the hardware that puts those parts together.
If plastic is so cheap, why are leader class figures shrinking? If parts count is what determines the price, then should we be able to get the exact same design, but upscaled bigger, for the same price?
It’s my understanding that they are trying to focus on character scale with this trilogy/era.
If plastic is so expensive explain the dollar tree stock of a majority of their product. Lol
They're cutting corners by using less plastic, possibly of comparatively inferior quality . Which is something they wouldn't need to do if plastic cost wasn't a consideration. Seems pretty self evident
I’ll just trust your obvious expertise. Lol
You have to nail one of the modes but unfortunately there’s compromises in all 3. Then you add the price point and it’s just not acceptable.
I will skip it myself, damn! I really wanted a good looking Blitzwing for my collection. Will wait another 12 years I guess?

The jet mode of the original Blitzwing toy was based on the MiG-25. It had these horizontal stabilizers at the back of the plane that you can swing out to make it look more like the MiG, but the cartoons and comics neglected that. That's why I love the Titans Return/Takara Legends mold - the designers made the jet mode resemble the MiG-25 even more.
