    This is proof that Beluga whales are intelligent animals. Look at how it teases the kids, plays with kids as an adult human would do. And it knows kids are there. It's intelligent. We should have new respect for these smart animals!

      Look up the average iq of beluga whales. They’re near genius in terms of human intelligence. It’s crazy how humans capture animals that are essentially superior to us, just because we have opposable thumbs and evolved on land.

      @e.goldie6143 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Machiavelli2pc I didn't know there were IQ tests on Beluga whales! You can see they're intelligent. The primates can't even do this kind of intelligent play with humans like the Beluga is doing. Even bottlenose dolphins pale in comparison to the Beluga. I don't know about superior to us, but they have to be number 2 to us humans! Wouldn't it be great if the world knew about this...

      @@niemoikein4330 I will say I wasn’t a fan of how the kids were kinda hitting the glass… I don’t know too much about Beluga whales but I know they like vibrations so that hitting the glass probably wasn’t ideal…

    Where is this at? Like what Aquarium? I’ve seen several videos from different people posting this Beluga and how he/she opens their mouth like that and making the faces is just hysterical!!! It’s just amazing how several types of whales love to be touched by humans and interact the way they do.
    From wanting help if caught in crap from the oceans, to them coming up to your boat wanting to be petted and even kissed!! How they have protected humans from danger while diving.
    We should really be watching out for these majestic creatures and protecting the oceans from all the garbage floating around causing such harm to them!!
    I saw a video of a newish born calf that washed up on a beach dead. Only content in its stomach was milk and a huge Mylar balloon. That calf didn’t deserve to die by us causing pollutions in the oceans!!!
    I saw another video of a Orca named Luna. Who lost his family and came up to humans for a companion to play with, to love and get attention. Researchers tried so hard to get him reunited with his pod. Unfortunately he was killed by a tugboat when he was only 6 years and I cried thru the whole video. It was horrible how he lost his life. And very heartbreaking. You can see it here just search for Luna documentary. And have a box of Kleenex handy.
    We need to do more to protect them.
    They are just beautiful and need to be loved more!! ❤❤❤

      They are very well cared for at this aquarium. The trainers even dance and play music in front of them to keep them entertained. Researchers also study them since they can't get closer to the ones in the wild - whose populations are slowly dwindling. So aquariums like these help raise awareness to conservation efforts.

      @@8-ball350 Hi! About the captivity part, the reason they are there is for their species to repopulate. Belugas are near threatened because of the population declining, that is why they are taken in for rehabilitation. If they were to reproduce in the wild, the babies would have a veeeeery high chance of being killed, declining the population faster. But, of course, this has its downsides. The animals would probably feel a bit dependent on the humans for their food, and if they were to be released in the wild, they could be vulnerable, probably getting used to be in rehab. But lets just hope for the best for them!

      Well. Mystic has a great team and they are right next to the shoreline . Looking at Juno, the beluga whale, i for one min did not think he was trapped. He was enjoying and would love to go back with my daughter after this corona goes away..

    Just imagine if a shark did the same thing... Swam up to the glass and opened its mouth, right where the kids' faces are.
