- Mizzou basketball has been the biggest surprise of the 2020 college basketball season so far, but how did a school who made the worst coaching hire of the 2010 decade manage to assemble a squad that can potentially win the SEC. @@ScottFisherCFB 🤣 yeah I'm glad kentucky is terrible this season but our game will be all about who can get the ball through the net better and tennessee has been better at shooting so far this season and good luck because Mizzou will need it lol

This team is my life. I knew they would be this good back in April. When they picked them 10th, I was saying there a top 3 SEC team this year. I've grown with this team over the yrs

It's cool to see Mizzou doing well again. I watched a lot in the 90s/00s, but don't get to watch as much since moving away from Kansas City. As a Central Missouri alum, it's disappointing that Kim Anderson didn't work out -- I was glad to see he finally got his shot to coach Missouri. Hopefully they can get back to being consistently competitive, since SEC basketball offers a better chance than SEC football normally does.
I got recommended this video today, just watched Mizzou outlast Kentucky.... I'm still excited about this years team as I think we haven't seen them play their best ball. Being a fan for 20 years is refreshing to see them win close games this year, but passing down to the level of competition worries me with the tourney coming up, being in a close game with a 10+ seed that have nothing to lose is a very dangerous proposition. I realized this team was gonna be good a few games in when I saw them play defense like I haven't seen our team play in a very long time.....here's to a great February and March!! MIZ!!!

1) Have a team building course such as in the hotel resort. Besides outdoor team building activities, let some good team building speakers to give talk, not only players but to relevant staff as well. Ask the chancellor or even district/state officer to give a visit. 2) Play as a team to win, ignore individual record. 3) Coach should be personally close to players, assist them if they have personal problems. 4) Let many people playing 5) Let loud supporters stay close to down level area
I've been waiting for this moment for so long. Honestly, I don't care if march madness doesn't happen or not. When Mizzou got ranked I almost cried out of joy. I love Mizzou, and I'm so happy that we finally have something to cheer about after so many years of heart-break and dissapointment.
As a resident of Columbia, everyone is buzzing ab this years team. No one thought we’d be this good.

Watched that Illinois game with a friend who goes to Illinois, I rubbed it in his face. I guess we are a basketball school now lol
funny to hear someone say that in jest... As someone who's been a Mizzou fan for 30+ years, we've been a "basketball school" the majority of that time. We were gawd awful in football for most of the 80s-90s while we were stacking up conference championships in hoops

Mizzou is very similar to Wisconsin. Both have a lot of experience, both have good depth, and both don’t really have a star but both have a lot of GOOD players.

Mizzou fan here. Not too worried about the Tennessee game. Vols were underranked, we couldn’t hit a shot if our life depended on it, and you guys couldn’t miss. Still think Mizzou is the second best team in the SEC, just like I did before that game. We just destroyed an undefeated Arkansas team, so I’m still feeling good about this season.

I'm glad the they are doing well.. I've been watching mizzou basketball since 88-89 and Kim Anderson was by far the worse head coach in missouri history.. I totally stopped watching the team during his era.. Counzo kinda brought me back because of his previous resume and wish him sustained success.. my prayer for him is to continue to have good luck with recruiting because that's been his issue the last few years is getting his recruits to buy in and stay with the program.. when kids leave it puts holes in your roster and your depth... He has a good group of kids this year that have grown together and that bought I to his system... I wish them the best of luck..

@@k.j.uptegrove3876 hey had good recruiting classes even after haith left.. none of those kids bought what he was selling and continuously left the program... These days, if the kids don't dig that you are doing, they bounce and I don't blame them... Coaches bounce all the time for better job opportunities and leave kids high and dry so I get it..
I hope we can win the first round of the tournament and go far I think they can go far in the Sec and u should do what happened to Kentucky basketball this year cause there really a good team

Kim Anderson did what he was hired to do. Clean up the program. There were 18 years (maybe you could take out Anderson's years and get that down to 13 years) of very questionable moves at best. Many were shady and against the rules. Anderson was brought in to clean all that up. No upstanding coach would have taken that program from Haith. But they could get an upstanding coach and friend of the program to do it. Kim is a great guy and great coach, but he doesn't have the name to get the recruits like he needed to. Plus with possible violations being sanctioned against the team in coming years (after Haith) no recruits were coming. Don't believe me? Look at KU and Kentucky this year. They are not getting the recruits, and no matter what level of coaching they have, they are not going to win without talent.
They sucked. Cuonzo is a horrible coach.
I would love to see Cuonzo build that program into a powerhouse again. I think he can do it.
Nah. Cuonzo just inherited some good players from Anderson. We see now after all of those players are gone and it's all cuonzo recruiting on the court how bad the current coaching staff really is. The Porter brothers debacle should've been a clue though.

I have a really hard time seeing the tourney being played again this year. If it does, there’s going to be a lot of positive tests, and when there are, logistical issues arise. Do u just forfeit if u can’t dress enough players? Crazy.
