Sir I'm a CA student along with a full time job.
How can I use the VUCA ideology to take a decision under the following circumstances :
1.How to decide on the amount of subjects to study?
2.Whether I should quit the job and study full time? (Family needs financial support from me; and my ability to generate monthly income greatly depends on progress in CA qualification)
Sir you are shaping lives of many in a positive way; may the almighty Allah bless you.

Rian, your overall pace, visuals and presentation of ideas is exquisite. You are adding so much value to Steven and the Flow concept. I have useful quote: “Be regular and orderly in your life (low vuca) so that you may be violent and original in your work (high vuka)”.

it kind of annoys me how you move only one hand around the screen, it gives the uncomfortable feeling that you have only one arm. I saw the other pictures where i see both arms, but still I get a sense of uneasiness watching you moving only your right hand around

    1. Set the VUCA in my personal life as low as how big my professional goals are
    2. VUCA is not bad, it is the same as external Flow triggers
    3. VUCA only overwhelms you only when you have VUCA in all of your life's aspects

I love downhill biking because I do get in flow...I have ADHD, anxiety and OCD...but riding my bike through really risky terrain....wow....I feel so in control but I've also been doing it for awhile and know I'm pretty good at it but I can still get hurt and I know that. Challenge, skills balance is what drives me most likely. One of the best feelings is getting to the bottom of the mountain and thinking...phew...I made it and didn't wipe out...I'm awesome! It's a high!

I kinda have discovered the V.U.C.A concept some time ago while realizing how less I wanted to have a stable romantic relationship while my V.U.C.A in my professional life was low (you need to get what I thought was adrenaline from somewhere in your life).
A nice routine makes you feel grounded or might feel like a chore or be overwhelming based on the type of challenges you're facing. That's why I believe knowing how to adapt and react accordingly is important.
Very nice video! I've discovered this channel recently but I am already hooked. Thanks for sharing

I started a business 3 years ago. I realized that focusing on establishing myself i stopped caring about fashion as much as i used to. I started wearing staples that were comfortable for me. I went out this weekend with my cousin and she told me to wear something different and “try”. I started to feel as if i need to start wearing other clothing to be in “style” but after watching this I’m more worried and focused on my business that impressing others.

Rian, this is awesome! Thank you. I want to add something here. Many people struggle because of an untreated adhd. Really... This is the kind of issue that can totally break you in half if you do not do anything about it. So if anyone is having a big struggle despite of trying reallly hard, it would be good to check if you have an adhd.

I really think majority of adhd is failing this challenge/skills balance. In other videos Rian suggests challenge should be roughly 4% higher than skills for flow.
Too much deviance causes negative symptoms which can manifest in adhd in some people. Worse, if you don't realise this is the case you will keep yoyoing between too much and too little challenge.

    1. Lower your VUCA in personal life. (Make systems that are reliable and sustainable)
    2. External Triggers/ VUCA are needed in your focused AREAS (Church and Work)
    3. If VUCA in all of my areas are high, that leads to burnout.

Your video on caffeine was incredible. Really helped me on the days I felt unnatural struggle. I didn't take any today and still worked hard, because the struggle was high but I was able to lower it naturally by using the time variable. I will be using caffeine again. I was in the camp that caffeine is bad as that's what I was taught by a natural health book author. The only problem I encountered was forgetting the recovery phase, which I am well aware of now. Did way too much work with zero recovery. You are bringing cutting edge knowledge, while holding nothing back. The sky is the limit for you.

Hello Rian, i have seen quite a few of your videos and honestly i am very impressed. first of all thank you! your videos have bought a positive change in my life, second of all i would like to share my situation. I am a JEE aspirant and cracking it requires months of consistent effort, along with the IQ you possess ofcourse. I actually am here to request a video or niche advice for my case and around half a billion people who face things such as: Low motivation, attraction to the other gender, procastination, burn out, lack of mental strength, sometimes even mastrubation. there are a lot of issues we face but only have one reason to go ahead............you have said bits and pieces of everything above in all of your videos spread out but trust me i would be absolutely thrilled to have your advice as an expert. i have made countless plans only to relapse to my old ways.......so i know i am doing something wrong......but what exactly is i cant figure that out........

    1. My main job changes per case worked
    2. Updates and changes to policies and procedures change daily/weekly/monthly
I am also constantly bombarded by emails, pings on teams, and requests for updates as our cases are time sensitive. I have found that many of these little distractions affect me and there have been days when I've been unable to be in flow and I get behind.
I am limited to keeping myself on do not disturb, but are there any other tips/techniques I could use to reserve my energy for my main tasks? ```markdown
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 🧠 *Embrace chaos, stress, and overwhelm as tools for maximizing productivity by managing arousal levels.*
01:49 🌊 *Flow state can be triggered by external factors like high consequences, risk, novelty, complexity, and unpredictability.*
03:55 🔄 *VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) can be both overwhelming and a driver of peak performance, depending on arousal management.*
05:32 🤯 *Mismanaged arousal is the key factor in whether VUCA overwhelms or propels an individual into flow.*
06:56 🎯 *The Challenge-Skills Balance is crucial for experiencing flow, where the challenge of a task aligns with an individual's skill level.*
09:15 💡 *Strategic allocation of "VUCA chips" by managing constants and variables in life helps optimize arousal levels for peak performance.*
11:34 🔄 *Compartmentalize personal and professional VUCA to match the scale of ambition, keeping personal VUCA small for big professional goals.*
13:53 ⬆ *Dial up VUCA if you're under-aroused to prevent boredom or apathy, embedding external flow triggers in the environment to enhance performance.*

I'm curious-Is there a way to increase your VUCA chips? Or at least increase your tolerance towards it? I mean with Elon, clearly, he has more chips than most and it looks like he has a really high tolerance too. Is this a character trait or is this something we can practice?

I've watched several of these videos and think I've either found some missing nuance or I'm unable to see how to apply it to my own issues.

I was trying to read DnD as 'Dungeons and Dragons' instead of 'Do Not Disturb!'😅
I was like 'How does that help with flow?!’😂

Shouldn't you also take into account that socialization/time with friends helps most people to relax/destress?

Great content but ultimately this is a funnel; the paid program costs 6900 USD, and the claim that he teaches us to unlock flow state "on command" is to be taken with a grain of salt, they basically teach us to follow a schedule suited to one of half-dozen profiles so "on command" is equivalent to at "7:30 everyday for Alex" (iff following their copy-pasta protocol to the L)

Apologies in advance for the unsolicited feedback.
I'm excited about following you and finding out more about your research, etc.
However I listen to TH-cam videos like podcasts during my morning routine. So it's very distracting and thus not possible for me to listen to videos with dramatic music, or any music for that matter. Imagine if all of your podcasts had music the whole time. It would be awful.
So I humbly yet strongly recommend releasing videos without background music. I'm ready to dive in to your stuff today for the first time but I can't listen to any of your videos because they all seem to have dramatic music throughout.
I just want to hear you talk man. Thank you.
