I think this is the best "cello concerto" written by penderecki, even if it's not a concerto

Man I tell you! It is heavy. I like the orchestral work he did, all good, the symphony’s so far awesome that I heard. Other stuff ehhhh….. I’d prefer George Crumb or Rihms composing for that. Oh one spectral piece I heard was right there with Murail, and and Murail lol I’m partial. Scelsi!! Shostakovich has my vote for best 15.. lol

It’s a bit odd, there are big names, Phillip Glass, Rachmaninov, John Cage, iannois Xanekis, Stravinsky well know, if you get into classical those names you’ll hear, see, about maybe even already. Then you got this guy, and the Zoltay K. When these guys come up it’s like their Debussy, Schubert, no even more it’s like these dudes changed the whole thing and ton of praise u know. Not that they didn’t get commissions but why then are they so obscure

Stanley Kubrick literally asked him if he could write music for the Shining, and Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima have more views than most if not all Xanekis vids on TH-cam
and where the hell did you hear that Penderecki didnt get commissions lmao, bro is literally one of the most commissioned composers in the past half a century lmao
