I would support invisible walls on positions such as this honestly. They are just taking advantage of game engine bugs. Other invisible walls preventing positions which are possible-real life like positions should be removed though. If you don't want someone to climb there, modify your map instead of invisible wall lazyness. Or just remove wiggle climb from your game engine.

@@PimpofChaos I would somewhat agree with you If we had perfectly balanced maps. But its world of tanks where we have 25% RNG for everything, unbalanced matchmaking and very unbalanced maps. If it was up to me, I'd add the same climb on the other side for the shitfield (airfield), tundra and abbey . Lakevile already have the same position from the other side. El haluf and manerheim are harmless. Thank god he is not showing the safe pass to the hill on some other map. As for invisible walls, I strongly object that idea. ppl should be able to jump, crash etc. They can prevent ppl from going somewhere with steeper slops, stones, brick walls etc.

Nah WG fixed other climbs because you could get into positions that were out of reach for many vehicles. Thus really having the potential to completely break games. These climbs are just nice to have knowledge that gets you into some good positions that everyone can acess and the climbs can be done by almost any tank. So they can be influential but not utterly game breaking like the sacred valley climb
my expectations after watching this video: "now I'll use these climbs to surprise the enemy team and win the matches" reality: I'll wreck my tank or get instakilled by sniper schnitzel and get called a idiot by my team

Comments are like toilet paper and stay the course because others will catch on play the game in command of your tank = be sneaky do the unexpected thing in various ways and times following buddies and random breaks to do the unexpected yields amazing stuff
you can just watch the streams of the great players with gameplay style (yolo bot, bush wanker etc.) matching yours. there you will get the idea not only about positions, but when and how to use them.
And how often does everyone actually succeed? My friend started using the Mannerheim line one after a previous vid of Skill, and in battles he currently has a ratio of 33% success vs 66% submarine. Myself, i noted people going that route long ago and have by now already quit trying to do it myself because while i could do it, far too often, all it takes is a minimal off-tempo moment with the keys and you go sleep with the fishes. I don't really know my own successrate, but it's probably below 50% as well.

I do have a few ideas about why, but without being able to look at the code it's impossible to say for sure. However, one of the things possible is the presence of weird stuff, like a place on Airfield map, southwest coast cliffside, there's a few places there which, if you enter them from the wrong direction, you start slipping, UPSLOPE, but still towards the edge, and unless you react quickly, you keep slipping slowly upwards until you go over the edge and fall down the cliff. And if you have the wrong tank, it doesn't even matter if you try to react correctly. Also, my experience is that "react correctly" to avoid it, you have to literally drive almost over the edge to stop the slipping, which is really not easy or fun, and again, a too large tank will generally just crash before you stop slipping. It probably happens because there's multiple surfaces with radically different slope there, so if the game thinks you're mainly interacting with one even though it makes absolutely no sense overall, you can break the laws of physics just because your tracks stand on more than one slope. On Mannerheim line map, ironically, it seems you tend to end up in similar situation more easily if you try the crossing too HIGH on the slope, or where the slope is lesser. Also, when all it takes is that you Zig a moment too long instead of Zag-ing, it's really easy to fail just because of random control imperfections. Or in my case, i'm fairly sure a big part of the reason is i have a generic keyboard.
@@DIREWOLFx75 Once I understood the concept of zig zagging to do the cross I haven't drowned once and I cross in pretty much every single game so I have probably done it hundreds of times. There is no exact way how to do it, there is a lot of leeway and room for error. It just seems that when people start slipping into the water they panic and try to turn up, and that causes them to fall even further when all they had to do is just stay submerged since you have 10 seconds so there is no rush.
Yesterday in ranked I had the situation where a SConq was sitting in that position on El Haluf, I didn't know about the climb so I had to approach him when he was in perfect hulldown and I got crossfired from 2 Leos in the north east. If I had knew about this trick I could have approached his back, as I was in Kran with Turbo ... Luckily I could get the 2 chevrons needed in the next battles :)
Tundra one is very dangerous to use it in first stage of game. Its easy to get spotted, sniped, jeffed, and if tanks uphill have map awareness, they will track easily. But in medium game... Oh it works. Also in same hill there's a nice tactic if you are south spam and you're already in the hill: If there's not snipers in the A0 line, you can drop in D9 and get the ass of the hull down tanks. Trust me they will automatically turn their guns towards you. That is dangerous for you, but at the same time if your allies in the hill/hulldown understand the move and push, they will clip them out. I made it couple of times with fast autoloaders. In lower tiers it works so good cause some players don't even react...

That one requires speed though, Most can't do that one. In order to "climb" you have to either hit the wall with speed or fly off the tank to get up there. I've only seen EBR's able to make that position from the North.l
a week ago on abbey tier X i was in kranvagn. on 2 line where he walked up there are 3 alcoves, the farthest one from him has what looks like stadium/coliseum seats. if you fall off you drop. i was forced back down it to avoid a 4 tank push coming up 2 line, i got away from them and teetered on the steps, and they ignored me, they thought i was going to fall off. After they were engaged i made my way back up wiggling back n forth, and clipped em from behind for a 5k+dmg game
I think can go both ways yes you learn a new Risky play that can change game but to the locations he shows you can bleed from gives you info if lets say medium or TD spots.
Even though I didnt learn anything new from this video I am still happy to watch it. Also a bit of a tip for tou if you try the lakewille climb: Make sure there is not a kranvagn sitting above you becouse he will rekt you and if there ia more than 2 people i the enemy team aiming for you dont tey it, tou will take at least 2 shots doing it so its not worth it.

I've personally used all of these in my battles. If you can call these climbs. This game died when WG decided to remove "boosts" as they called them, because they were "unfair" for other players, as they phrased it. That thing destroyed this game to the maximum-> I mean competitive WoT pretty much died after they removed them. We still have so much unused space in a lot of maps and before you could actually use it, but now you cannot. So they took it away and didn't change maps to accomodate for it. As my friend says: There is a bunch of LoL maps in WoT (LoL- League of Legends). Just 3 corridors and not much options. Sad what they have done to this game because I know so many people who loved those mechanics- you needed skill to perform climbs, people spent countless hours in the training rooms practicing them, having fun while doing so. But what now? The fun is gone. Now you double tap 2 and that is fair, but climbs weren't? Okay WG, okay...
8:12 Glad this one gets shown; I'm the only one who ever seems to do it. It's possible on the other side as well, just nowhere near as practical. Very good for breaking the ever-frequent airfield stalemate.
That's maybe because it's something you can do only at the end game lol. Try it at the start or with 10 tanks left on the enemy team and see if you dont get pooched lol
It is kinda useless most of the time. at least until mid is clear. I know this climb for a long time, but used it couple of times. I remember one time when I was hunting the last TD and needed safe/surprising approach, and the other time with a med after camping on the opposite balcony.

Would be nice to have a video that shows good escape routes down from cliffs and hills, like shit river you can leave the Eastern pocket/balcony at E5 with taking no damage by driving west down the cliff face in the right direction, or tips on how to drop down from Mines hill.
Imagine WG would make the positions Skill showed available normally like they did with K5/A5 position on Cliff. There would be so many more interesting opportunities on maps.

In Lakeville you can do the same on 2 line starting on the other side, and easy to counter that one last position o name baboon.
