BPS stik-o are made with the same plastisol formula and salt content as Yamamoto with the same molds by southern plastics in AL. The colors are not exact, though. Johnny and Gary are good friends, and when Gary and Johnny agreed on having senkos in stores, they agreed to use the same plastisol formula and mold, Johnny paid a good price for all that up front.
This is very true. I had them break off after a catching a fish and then casting again. They are TRAAAAASH. I never had an issue with Berkley or yums and I caught 10+ fish on one!
@@dipster14 usually i get about 3 catches then I have to tear it shorter to rehook or throw it out..but they catch fish amazing..I know a small lake that won't eat much but a frog or a googan bait lol. We tested it for a month straight lol
They definitely aren’t very durable, but that flat out work. The scent is killer, the clam shell is crucial, and they have some solid bait profiles. Not a fan of their hard baits, I mainly throw Megabass and 6th sense in that department, but for whatever reason I just have good luck with googan soft plastics. But over the last year I’ve really gotten into throwing swimbaits, so that’s where I’ve been spending my time lately. Unfortunately it went from buying $5-25 baits up to $100-400.

MDJ, I don’t understand why you haven’t tried the Berkley Maxcent. I would think you would want every advantage you could get. I get a lot more strikes on the maxcent than other brands. I have used three of these baits , I will be trying the lunker log now that I know more about them . I also know we have a local dealer with a good selection .
I have yet to find a plastic, aside from elaztech, that outlasts a couple bass. They destroy em all so beautifully. Log, bug, craw, paddle tail. Be it LSC or a creek, I stock up & I don’t whine about it. I fish. Googan straight catches em, bandito stole my wallet last year and I’m not mad about it! Yamamoto catches em, holy grail. Never tried the bass pro ones. I can get bit like crazy on a yum dinger, berkley ribbon tail is my jam. If my baits torn up I probably had a damn good time reeling in that bass 💯🎣🙌🏻 no complaints from me!
Yamamoto Senkos definitely have changed. The OG version was softer. I have plenty of them left to compare. Current version is more durable with slightly less wiggle.

Here's a nugget I never hear from others....Yamamoto etc color compared to yum dinger on the green pumpkin chartreuse tail is 100 best on yum...that Tail color just has just the right translucency for some reason....its only yum I prefer over yamistick
Yamamoto is the only one out there that has the perfect mix of salt and plastic to give it the quiver . I've watched multiple tests done on these baits.. Yes they tear up easy.. I'd rather be throwing a bait I know will trick a ten pounder into bitting ,than chunk a lure all day that doesn't produce bites. He's done a ton of testing on the ratios of salt and plastic to get that puppy to shake, rattle, and role as it falls. The others are stiff and don't have enough salt to make them shake on the fall. Only one I use for this reason myself.. As far as scent! I'd rather have it neutral because I like to soak mine the night before. Depending on what lake your fishing you might like one smell better than another..

I never used the Googan, the Senko or the General, the basspro is good & they are scented supposedly, & they have great colors & they hold up alright, but my favorite is a zman zinker z, holds up better than any bait out there, but the draw back is not a great selection on colors & you can't dip the bait for added scent or colors, I have used Googans other baits & they don't hold up as well as others, to get a deal on baits just have shop around! 8 dollars a pack for a senko. I just looked up on canadian tire here in canada. They are 14.99 a pack. That's why I only buy two packs a year and buy cheap ones after that

Googan baits durability is absolute trash. Their plastics tear so easily. I love their brand but their plastics are bad.
