Sri Dasam Granth is true and it is meant for Khalsa. That's why Guru Gobind Singh Ji wrote it separately.
Accepting Dasam Granth Sahib 1897 for a sikh means a huge insult to all our hindu brothers and their scriptures. Previous version was authentic but changed by the Britishers and divided sikhs and hindus

So here we can see that Two Granths, namely Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji existed during the time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Dasam Patshah

But please do some more research because before 19th century no one new there is Dasam Granth by guru Gobind singh ji .
It was British who introduced to people that they found writing of guru sahb
Which was there plan to invade in Sikh religion.
They entered some gurbani of guru gobind singh and also writing from other writers

ਇਕਾ ਬਾਣੀ ਇਕੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਇਕੋ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
इका बाणी इकु गुरु इको सबदु वीचारि ॥
There is One Bani; there is One Guru; there is one Shabad to contemplate.
