Hope you feel better soon my dude! That OneXplayer 2 Pro is actually a soild device, I'd rather have that over a Legion go tbh. Yeah the screen is only 60hz at 1080p instead of 144hz at 1200p and the controllers don't have as many buttons or built in Batteries but realistically most of the games you play on these devices need to be played at a lower resolution and will rarely exceed 60 fps with newer triple a games and if they are just turn up your graphics a bit and lock it at 60.
The oneXplayer 2 has a much bigger battery, higher ram configurations, a turbo mode to overclock, better accessories including a controller connector and magnetic keyboard, more storage capability with the 2280 ssd, and the 7840u drivers are more "user friendly" with egpu connectivity than the z1 extreme. The list probably goes on but just saying it's a really soild device if you weigh the pros and cons.
I truly love the side by side screwdriver comparison. I really appreciate your openness about the product. Makes me wanna buy one because i am CONSTANTLY taking apart/repairing laptops, controllers, consoles, etc and I only have a manual screw driver

I wish I would have got the legion go over the Ally, but the wife got it for me so I have to like it more lol.
As far as being broke, I feel ya. My wife spends everything while I get the scraps. The scraps then go to make my kids happy.

@cppctek that's tough. I'd probably still pick the Go for the screen size. Variable refresh is overrated on these small devices IMHO.
Curious as to what Go2 will offer.

So what happen to the rog ally One Dock&ROG Ally OCulink Kit Channel?
The Ally docks that work on the og Ally will work on the Ally x also if that’s what you’re asking. But since the Ally x suppport egpu over usb c now an has 2 ports

I can tell this is the one X player handheld he got one on the upper left handheld it’s a good one, but even I always wanna buy one but not the handheld I want to get I wanna get different type of handheld from the one X player, but I know what major factory I need to know what the buy, I don’t want cause any problems because what if the warranty expires and they’re not gonna repair it without the warranty I’m new customer. What can I buy the product? I can plug an external graphic card
It's hard to recommend a specific handheld to each person, you need to kind of know what you're looking for as far as features, operating system, battery life and screen. If you're looking for a good handheld that you can plug in a egpu over usb 4, your best bet would be the new Ally X. Asus just improved their customer support and increased their warranty to 2 years.
@@chrisboucher2813 hmmm....well, for me I want something that I can detach the controller and use for a stand alone controller. I love my ally but the bigger screen, 32gb or ram and the fact that I can use it as a laptop is pretty cool. I guess what I'm saying is for the money that it cost, is it better than the ally? @@robertsmith20022 Yeah detachable controllers are nice. The OneXplayer X1 and the OneXplayer Mini (Ryzen edition) are also a very good choice for a device with detachable controller and keyboard. The X1 has high refresh rate screen (120hz), high resolution (1600p) with freesync so you won't have any screen tearing, plus it has a oculink port for egpu which is much better performance than usb4.

Hard choice but I’d say legion x or x1 because the x1 has the option for the 8840u and 32gb I believe.

Man......i just bought the legion go. Fucking thing runs like absolute DOGSHIT! Especially compared to my old ally.
Mine ran nearly identical after I tuned it right. By default there’s so many weird variables and settings and updates that need to happen and be changed to get optimal performance. Out of the box it needs some tweaking. Hop by the discord and I can or anyone can show you the optimal settings and stuff to change and get the fps the same or close to it. Keep in mind your pushing a bigger screen at a higher resolution so the gpu and cpu are the same and fps can be lower compared to it if your trying to push the highest resolution too. But there’s like I said several

You need to get the legion go again. It's the best out of all. Asus is junk especially after what Gamers Nexus uncovered. If your tight for money sell the custom shells you made. I'm willing to buy them off you. Also there's a stupid complicated mod for 32gb, only downside is you have to sodder and use a modified firmware.
