I personally feel like they should have continued the storyline from the first movie, but I’m also excited to see how this will come out when it’s in theaters but the ending to the first movie was I guess a cliffhanger in my opinion because the curse was passed on to Joel but again I’m excited for SMILE 2
Actually, I was thinking they might go down the route of something like It Follows 2 (They Follow) is doing: having the character from the first one return, and have it potentially focusing on tracking down the origins of it and trying to break the curse once and for all.
I was wondering how much he was gonna have to do with the story! If I had to guess, he may be just in the beginning portion of the film and is somehow gonna be who this new character gets the curse from? Idk!
I was thinking maybe he doesn’t die, maybe they just keep him as a side character who’s in a hospital, and he’s there to kinda help guide this new character, maybe they even team up to get to the bottom of and the origin of the curse.
I totally see what you mean. It doesn’t feel as (psychologically) grounded but with the setting and new direction still, I’m still interested (enough).
i’m actually happy they took the popstar route instead of following a regular person again. it adds a new element.
It definitely shakes things up a bit! I’m really looking forward to seeing the use of horror elements with the setting.
