One of the reason I like your videos and when you fly a drone I feel it is good enough to recommend It is a real life test of a drones abilities. when you fly the canyon.
Just like you show in the video, I'm more comfortable getting the Avata low and close to the landscape/objects without any OA, than I am doing it with my camera drones with 360 OA. Just being in goggles gives me a better sense of my surroundings and how close I am to things. I loved how close you got to side of canyon. Nice flight at the canyon, I felt the same way the first time I took the Avata over the ocean. Great video Marcus, thanks for sharing.
Amazing flights Marcus... Was hoping you would have hit that gap at the "interesting rock formation" (13:35)... I would have attempted it. Really enjoyed this video. Like #10 - The Avata is amazing... Love mine!
I have a 27" computer and put in full screen to watch your Arvata video for a minute or two. I had to reduce the screen because I was getting a little dizzy. Loved it. I'm going to watch it entirely again in full screen. Please don't stand near the edge. Very entertaining.
Hey thank you I’m not sure but I was having a really bad and depressing night tonight and the whole time your video caught me and helped me cheer up thank you
Marcus, Another great flight. You are a brave man. I know the Avata was intended more for bandos and rip[ping fast around obstacles but it did quite well as a more long range camera type drone flying down in the canyon. I could almost sense the intensity I think you were felling. Im going to have to get one and try my hand at FPV. It does look like a lot of fun. Thanks as always for sharing.
Helpful hint. If you put the Avata in Sport mode I recommend you are hovering the drone before changing to sport mode. I also recommend when putting it in sport mode you are in a safe area where you can retrieve the drone in case of the infamous blade explosion. I change when drone is low to the ground and I can retrieve drone. (it appears when the blade explosion happens it's a quick Normal to Sport mode change) I am happy to see you take the Avata out and play. It's a different experience than our camera drones for sure!!!
So glad you finally took the Avata for the adventures it was designed for. However, it does always have signal challenge whenever a rock gets between you and the drone. Not sure if you forgot to record the google video, but please know there is an option in menu to auto record both googles and Avata camera on engine start and it auto stop off on engine off, this way you never miss recording both.
Put a set of Yaggi's on the goggle antenna and you'll get better range. In my testing I got double the range with the goggles and Mavic 3 Pro with the Yaggi's on.
Thank you for the demo flight. The camera does not seem very focused. When you were close to wall of canyon, the rock was not very clear. Perhaps it's because it's a cinewhoop drone tuned for fast movement with open shutter for speed not for focused depth of field?
Yeah good to take advantage of the nice weather for drone flying while it lasts. I don't know about the Boise or Twin Falls area, but in the Spokane area along with Northern Idaho (Post Falls and Couer d Alene areas), weather is supposed to cool down and get wetter (might snow on Sunday last time I checked the weather forecast). Managed to do 2 flights on Wednesday: Saltese Wetlands area near Liberty Lakes and later Spirit Lake in Idaho (launched from the park area near where the bridge is). Thought about doing the Bayview area as well, but I only have 2 batteries for my drone, plus it is a less familiar area too. Will have to get more familiar with the Athol and Bayview areas before flying in those areas, woupd need to get a better idea on what works and what doesn't work there. Alternatively, i know the Sandpoint area has some spots that should work, but i will wait till wearher conditions get better and i have more time on my hands before going to the Sandpoint area again (longer drive from Spokane Valley too).
Thanks for the Video..Quick question i just got a DJI mini 4 pro..and My battery WONT charge in the drone..i have left it in for 4 hours only get to about 10% any suggestions?
The drone itself especially being a mini is not really meant to be a full on charger. You need to buy a 100 Watt charger. Then it'll charge in an hour.
You need to get yourself the other transmitter buddy, you will have a much better flying experience and i suggest using the simulator so you can fly it manually which is much more fun.
question for you Marcus. Do you have a spotter like what the FAA wants or you just swing it? I want to get this drone but I know I will not always be able to have a spotter. BTW I love your videos.
Man! that last boat sounded good! Fast and loud! You can hear those headers just a singing. Thanks Marcus. Cheers, Brendan
Thank you Brendan! Everything about that flight was fun!
Good job! You've come a long way with that puppy.
Thank you Del! Are you ready to fly FPV now? 😀
I'm gonna have to pass on that venture. Besides, just watching you fly FPV makes me dizzy. 😅😂🤣
One of the reason I like your videos and when you fly a drone I feel it is good enough to recommend It is a real life test of a drones abilities. when you fly the canyon.
That canyon is fun to fly John!
I am sitting here saying Marcus don't get out of your chair! Nice video once again. Thanks for sharing.
Darn right Bob. One wrong move and it's over. 🙂
I got the heebee jeebees watching this! Lol. You were sitting so close to the edge with goggles on.
Ha! I was nervous too. 🤣

Thank you so much Ron! That is an excellent observation!
Marcus is getting a little more brave! Great flight! You are doing fine. Take a chance, and it will pay off!
It was fun Brendan!
Love seeing you fly, Marcus. Keep the passion!!
I appreciate that Stephen!
Im amazed seeing power lines in such a remote location! I frickin love that Drone too Marcus. Happy days amigo!!
I'm so glad you liked it Jackie! Your opinion means a lot to me! 🙂
That looks like a fun drone to fly. Thanks for sharing.
The Avata is pure fun! 🙂
Very cool flight. Thanks for sharing
Thank you, it was a great place to fly. 👍
Amazing flights Marcus... Was hoping you would have hit that gap at the "interesting rock formation" (13:35)... I would have attempted it. Really enjoyed this video. Like #10 - The Avata is amazing... Love mine!
I'm not that brave Capt. Joe!!
Loved it, fun watching I thought I was the only one who got nervous when flying 😅
Nervous and the Avata go hand in hand for me. 😂
Loving My Avata. Do a dive Marcus
Me too Johnnie ❤
@BaqPaqJaq, Johnnie is a master Avata pilot. He does manual mode flippy flops! 🤪

Thank you Charlie! Yes, that edge is scary!
I LOVE this Marcus! What a great place to get spectacular FPV footage! Now on to manual mode! You can do it!😊
Thank you John! No manual mode for me. 😀
Wow Marcus awsome footage.
Hey thank you I’m not sure but I was having a really bad and depressing night tonight and the whole time your video caught me and helped me cheer up thank you
Oh wow, thank you Joshua!

Thank you Joe. Yes, the Avata is a far different experience and is a lot of fun!
Thank you Marcus for the amazing view👍🏼👌🏼
It is absolutely my pleasure! Thank you!

That's good advice Lance. I saw that happen to an Avata in Florida.
I loved this Marcus really looks like fun great vid.
It was a ton of fun! Thank you!
Great video Marcus and the Avata is a very good drone.
It sure is and great fun!
Very COOL Marcus!
Thank you very much John!

Thank you Jim. It was a great day!
Cool video..kinda scary going over the cliff..😁👍♨️
Oh, you're on the edge alright. 😂
Of sanity! 🤣

Thank you, yes, I record to both. 👍
😂😂 hahaha I'm feeling dizzy for you but the edge
Great flight Sir
You and me both Welbeck! 😂
This is a great Avata 2 leak footage example
Impressive signal penetration I must say
1. Yes, but , Ron Brown told me to keep it on the DL. 🤣 2. Yes, I was 100 meters down in the canyon at one point. 🙂
Full send 👍🏼
I had to. 😎
Put a set of Yaggi's on the goggle antenna and you'll get better range. In my testing I got double the range with the goggles and Mavic 3 Pro with the Yaggi's on.
Not for me Rod. 🙂

I was shooting in 30 fps, maybe I should have kicked it up to 60. Thank you!
Wooow, súper the view is amazing 🤝😎
Thank you Jesus! 👍

I agree, we have to fly on the nice days!! 😄
at 5:10 and 18:16 bottom left it looks like a solar cell has fallen off to the side, thanks for posting enjoyed the flight
Great eye! I took another look at that and blew it up. It appears to be an old lawn chair.
Awesome shots Marcus! Can't wait to get my hands on one!
🫵🏼😉
I predict very soon Joe!! 🤣
Great video.
Thank You!!
It looks difficult to fly the avata but seems very fun
Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to fly. 🙂
Thanks for the Video..Quick question i just got a DJI mini 4 pro..and My battery WONT charge in the drone..i have left it in for 4 hours only get to about 10% any suggestions?

1 hour ago I received the dji mavic 3 pro ,I am so stoked .😄😊🤗😁🌭🍺🇺🇸
The Mavic 3 Pro is a beast! Have fun!
@@IdahoQuadcopter thank you 😁
Al final tendrás que pasarte al mando con stick para dominarlo totalmente 🎮🎮🎮
That is true. I have a lot of friends that fly in manual mode with the sticks. 👍

Thank you! i appreciate you watching. 👍
Nice flying mate. ❤ Certainly a better flier than me, especially after my latest Avata incident 😬 All the best 👍
The Avata is sure fun though. 🙂
This is your first flight at the canyon with the Avata,,,isn’t it??
No Lauren, by my count it's the 272nd. 😂🤪
Also, take the goggles off when landing.
That's why I like camera drones. No goggles! 😄
Hey look, guys. I’m pretty close to the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeedge🙀
No lie, I was nervous!
LETS GET THIS BIRD IN THE AIR
Hello Marcus-Remember :"Discretion is the better part of Valour" Mike in Australia.
Ha! I hear you Mike! 😂
