Brian you have me wanting so many jets that I am going to have to be single for the rest of my life😂✌🏽
Kudos to the camera crew! Nerves of steel! Hell, it scared me how close that bullet was whizzing by. And Brian, stop bumping into the camera crew and blaming her! Good luck finding anyone else who could do such a magnificent job if she walks off the job site 😂
Camera crew really nailed it!!
Nice flying! That pink stayed on over a year, before I realized I had to peal it off😜 Still one of my favorites.
Freaking beautiful flying plane… real nice.. the A-10 is my favorite build.. what a great channel..👍🏻😎🇺🇸🇺🇸
That Jet really needs Thrust Reverse Engine capabilities! LONG runout on landings.
I could have slowed it down better, but in our landing strip, we have a pretty STEEP approach, which makes it way more risky to make a high alpha landing, and I'd have to time it pretty much PERFECTLY, so I just land it more like a regular plane.
Awesome plane!
Sounds so good. Love it!!
It's great to see you sticking landings on the carrier with a blazing fast EDF!
It's also nice to know I'm not the only youtuber getting those annoying "shame" messages about providing a link in a reply that answers someone's question, " where can I get this?". Un-friggin-believable! So, rest assured they're doing it to folks with 0 to 10 views as well as the 1000's of views YT'ers.
That said, I get to stare at my FMS PA18 all day today while I'm at work. Because it's stuck 40 feet up a tree in the field behind my work. While i use your links to shop for a new plane. Yep. Praying for high winds today, for a change. 👍
Hey you gotta do a video with the new “fpv head tracking” camera gimbal in the cockpit
I keep seeing it and had imagined it prior but we really love the way you and the video crew present the info and truly appreciate your passion for the hobby.
Not to mention I think you’re exactly the person who’s gonna love the whole new world it brings.
This is basically the discontinued version of the Eflite 70mm Thunderbird. I should have never sold mine lol That was a great jet and I imagine this one is better with the Reflex in it. Awesome vids guys 🤘
Looks great. And flies in such a tight area too. I like that bunches.
FMS really does delivers a nice product.
They really do! Then, dummies like me deliver them into treetops 😅
@@AL-RCjunkiejust fly higher than the trees 🤷♂️
great vid! i have the same one with the Afterburner, extended EC5 connect cable and as a golden tip!
get the softer rubber wheels because those oem ones will mess up your landging gear.😮
Afterburners are definitely a must with most edfs .... especially this one.. it just makes it look that much better😊
Hello Brian Phillips, with the late air assaults, earlier today I recalled the Laura Dern television movie " Afterburn (1992) ". A movie that features the F - 16. Now here you are flying one.
That's a fast plane.
I have this same jet! Super awesome!
Dear, Brian.
Would you consider the addition of a simple routine for showing us the characteristics of each model plane that you present us with? Such things like:
- power on stalls (flaps and gear down)
- power off stalls (flaps and gear down)
- power on stalls (flaps up, gear up)
- power off stalls (flaps and gear up)
- spin recovery (plus dive recovery as per spin recovery)
- power off glide ratio (no need to measure)
Personally, I look for scale characteristics in a scale flying model, I am going to get the E-flite 1.2 p-51 mustang, and was hoping one of you popular youtubers can adopt this routine to show us (those of us) which plane is overweight, or which ones are lightest for slower flying. I understand it's an awful lot to ask just for fun, and I'm sorry for the long message. Thank you for putting out great content, and showing me the best flying models i can get today.
Ps, if you can do the e-flite 1.2 mustang again, that would be awesome (lol)
Thanks for asking. Please keep in mind, we only have so many minutes of flight time (and so many flights per video), and we aren't always in the best of circumstances, timing wise - we can be up against sunset, tight weather windows, CRAZY production deadlines, family issues, work issues, etc...and while I understand why you would ask for this, there probably won't be enough flight time in most videos or on MOST models to showcase all of these items. I think it would be very nice to see, and would be helpful for everyone to have a side by side comparison. We do try to cover what we think would be "bear minimum" flight performance in each of our reviews. If there's time, I get to "have fun" too, but sometimes I get stuck JUST TRYING TO KEEP THEM FROM CRASHING - LOL ;)
We can see if there's a way to cover some of these items.
@BrianPhillipsRC thank you, Brian. I probably could have re-worded it better, but I didn't mean to sound like there's anything wrong with your videos, I wasn't implying anything like that. It was an idea that I had awhile ago while doing research for my balsa model to NAIL the flight characteristics, and it's been something I've always been uptight about. And seeing it demonstrated on full scale planes gave me the idea to bring it up with you guys, thanks Brian!
28:40 I agree, it sounds almost like a jet engine.
Camera crew nice video! F16 is mean!!
Yes it is - Awesome plane, BUT SUPER annoyed about the PINK CRAP on the decals! That stuff is STILL on there! What a joke.
I know there's some solution that can be used on it, and if we weren't so cramped for time, I'd get it on there, but to be honest, what's wrong with vinyl stickers like always??!?!?
NIIIIICE 👌🏻 Awesome jet, Nice flying Brian, I just got in from flying my Sport Cub and AeroScout to see Brian has dropped another awesome review of another awesome model 🔥 Love it 👍🏻✌🏻
Love it when that happens 👍
I agree I enjoy your guys videos. Oh and I have bought several planes from your videos alone. I wished motion rc would would with you and let you review some of their freewing planes.
Ohhh Yeahhh! 😜😜😁😎
Awesome video, SMOKIN' PLANE! Hey... I made a Shortcut button for Horizon Hobby out of one of your links (from an E-flite vid), another for Tower using your link for them (from the AWS-28 vids), and another button for FMS made from your FMS link like the one on this vid! Put the shortcut buttons across the top of my browser, and I just use your links for everything I shop from those three vendors! Super easy way to give your links a good workout! Every time I crash and need parts, or succumb to the siren call of a new plane, Brian and the Camera Crew get a tip!
Hi Brian, I'm wondering how much throttle when u fly the F16 especially in level flight?
Is this basically the Horizon Hobby Thunderbirds 70mm F-16 with different receiver and paint? The gear, canopy shape, etc all look the same.
Not that that's a bad thing, my Thunderbirds F-16 70mm is my most flown plane (beat to heck and back) well over 200 flights and I've got another brand new one in the box.
I'm new to watching you fly and the RC flight world grew up a Air Force baby and the daily planes I've seen plus air shows I've been blessed . This makes me feel young again I'm on SSI for 4/1 will b my 1st purchase think I'm gonna get the 10 channel controller which should last years B4 my skills progress
Love the content!! Gotta send you a pic of mine done in the Scorpion livery.
Desert Camo
Great flying and video guys! What about thrust reverse? AFAIK the new ones should have it
V hi-quality landing✔
Bought the FMS F16 buit and flown it . Did not use the crappy decals, use the ones from the Freewing F16. LOVE THIS PLANE ! Brian, have you tried the SMC High voltage LIPOs yet ? They are fantastic on a grass field !
How about 2nd EDF? I've been flying the FMS Raphale. The smaller one.
Watched the build and it was amazing. The flight of this plane is awesome, this is my most favorite plane of all time. If I was to get into Rc planes what f-16 would be the best to start with? Great video 👍👍👍👍👍
This or the Eflite F-16 70mm would be similar, but the Eflite one (also made by FMS) is BNF, so it's a lot easier for a beginner to setup. Also, as an aside, I hear a lot of RC influencers saying this is a great first EDF, and I still don't agree. It's not the WORST "first EDF" but while it's pretty easy to fly, it's NOT the easiest to land, if you really want the truth. Many people forget just how hard it is to fly EDF's at first...and then they say what the MFG asks them to say - WE DON'T...this is NOT a beginner EDF in my personal opinion. IF you want to try it out, after you have a few prop planes under your belt (which will still be an AWESOME experience, BTW) then you could possibly start EDF's here, but the Habu would make your life SOOOOO much cheaper, and less frustrating.
Here's our "beginner list" - www.brianphillipsrc.com/beginnerplanes - don't discount how much fun it is to fly one of these planes...I know they're NOT F-16's and I too have a sweet spot for F-16's, having watched them fly when I was a kid in Des Moines Iowa (132nd Airborne flew out of the Air National Guard base at KDSM, FYI).

Cheers Brian really appreciate your advice. I’m only really used to flying drones but always wanted an F-16
Wish they would use normal adhesive decals with clear backing .
Thanks for pushing the little hottie Brian. You know I want to see leaves on the bottom of your plane when you land. Question: I've never flown an f16. How does it fly compared to a viper 70? Thx camera crew!
Would it be possible to get a Spectrum receiver with build in AS3X and program it to the e flite F-16? Not sure if that would work but if it did it may reduce the weight of the plane with less electronics / better flight time maybe.
Brian
What kind of adhesive do you use to assemble your foam aircraft?
We use mostly CHINA GLUE, and some CA's - if you check out the "Unbox, Build, Radio Setup" videos for every single plane we've ever done (with only a few exceptions), you will see what glues we use, and sometimes we even fix planes after crashes ;)
also be carful with a faster turn, they will tip over and damage the wing/rocket 😵💫
How do the flight characteristics compare to the Yak-130 (which is about price)....
Looks like a very heavy, slow mover for an F16 or is it just the way the video looks? Also and more importantly...do you ever do a live q/a session Brian? I have like more than a few questions to ask about you, your flying, your planes, etc. Hope you might consider even a 1 hour session to get to know "Bryian Phillips". Been following you for a good year now. Thanks man.
its not heavy at all, and not slow i.m.o
I have both FMS F-16 & F/A -18 as well. F-16 flys better but F/A -18 sounds better.
hey Brian, do you think this or the thunderbirds 70mm could be a good first 6s? i really love the f-16 and i want to know if either can be a good first 6s.
I don't think either F-16 would be a BEST first EDF, but this or that would be great EDF's for those who have flown a few successfully. The F-16 is not hard to fly, but like all EDF's, it can take some finesse that's only earned with time on the sticks.
If you REALLY want my opinion on a FIRST EDF, it'd be something like the 50mm Habu, or 70mm Habu...but that's just if you're learning to fly EDF's. This would be a fine 2nd or 3rd EDF jet, provided you're not landing on a postage stamp.
bprc.me/FMS_F16 - The one from this video
bprc.me/F16 - Horizon F-16's, which would include the 70mm's and the 80mm's
bprc.me/Habu - I think if you want to keep it lower cost, the 50mm would be a great starting point, but 70mm would be good too, but I would suggest skipping the STS (3S and 4S) and going into the SS (4S and 6S)
@@BrianPhillipsRCi have flown the umx a 10 quite a bit so i know how to fly them pretty well
@@Tommydoestuffsurely a bigger EDF might be a better bet?
@@DominicGreen432 wdym?
@@Tommydoestuff the UMX A10 doesn’t really fly like the bigger A10s so I don’t necessarily think it’s a good indication of whether or not you can fly a bigger EDF but I have heard this FMS F16 is quite an easy F16 to fly
Nice looking edf great flying video question the reflex v2 just for FMS planes or can it be use on different makers planes ☺✈✈👍👍
they are preprogrammed for the specific FMS models
Ok Thanks@@Reptielenfreak
Correct, the Reflex is specific to FMS models. If you follow this link and scroll down about halfway, you'll see a chart of planes that are currently compatible with the Reflex.

Hope that helps!
@@BrianPhillipsRC
can you do another flight series on the big scale FMS SU for example and the big freewing airliner🔥. cant wait!
ok Thanks Brain yes I see that now ☺☺@@BrianPhillipsRC
That looks like a great plane! any chance you can compare it to the new Freewing 70mm V3(2)?
I can't since I haven't flown it - sorry! I don't want to mislead, but would love to work with Freewing...but MotionRC doesn't want to work with us ;(.....
@@BrianPhillipsRC I didnt know that, how wierd, I think they d benefit a lot from having you showcase their planes! you keep doing you bro!
My only issue with this video is Bryan is flying in a space not designed for Jets, many New pilots see this and think oh that's easy to do.
Brian. Have you ever crashed in your house with a plane?
Yea, he has talked about it before lol.
