Oil City News, my reaction is somewhere between bemusement and dismay when I hear people refer to the 70s as a "simpler time" and "the good old days." People have very short and selective memories.
There's also some old time radio. You can actually Google when the Pearl harbor was attacked and they have it on the radio that they broadcast. . Very interesting. I also agree with you 100%.
