How to tailor the answer to the first question "Introduce yourself and tell me why we should hire you as a Lecturer", when you do not have any teaching experience at all?
Jack, you’re a pirate. You taught all kinds of good lessons. Like, “Arrrrgh! Listen to me or oy’l run ye through!”, and “Arrrgh! Ye know what happens when ye steals from me? I’s runs ye through!”….
This basically told me everything I was told not to do. Interview is tomorrow and now I'm really confused. I gave answers like this in my practice and they hated them.
My advice would be to fallow a sillier structure to the examples but making sure they are all tweaked to be true to you :) Best of luck! You've got this! @@CareerVidz That's the problem, these answers are true to me. But they're all about teaching and instruction. That's not what people want in lecturers at top universities. They want elite researchers that bring in big grants without being distracted by teaching. You go in talking about tuition and it's a giant red flag
