This makes his modeling arc complete. At first, he bought and built models, then he bought and modified models, then he bought and added custom built parts to modified models. Now he 3D prints his own models. Great arc, Plasmo!!
@@jeffreyestahlI do not print my own model yet. I purchased it. I made only extra parts. However, I am working on my own design of the complete kit model with a full interior. 😅🫡
Lovely result. I'm very relieved you toned the green down with fading and washes / weathering... because Green was not used as an overall base colour on British tanks until until after the Great War, where-upon tanks still in service were painted in the new standardized Green colour - notably the new Mk.V tanks. The only British tanks involved in actual conflict that would have been painted Green are the tanks sent over to the White Russian Army during the Russian Civil War of 1918. Otherwise, all British tanks during the Great War were painted in Earth Brown colour all over, except for a few early instances of Mk.I tanks with 'Solomon Camouflage' [similar to your 6pdr howitzer], or Mk.II training tanks - some of which were fitted with camouflaged Mk.I sponsons whilst retaining either a factory grey hull, or a repainted Earth Brown hull.
I found it hard to find good, definitive info on WWI tank colours. There's the obvious change from camo pattern to single colour, but I struggled to pin down exactly what that colour should be. It's a number of years now since I made the Emhar Whippet, but ended up going for a dull green (not the post-war colour). Can you recommend some good sources for the brown colour? I have some Mk IVs in the stash for 15mm gaming and want to get it right.
@@heneagedundas Original 'Earth' paint is rare, and discoloured where it does exist. Bovington paints their tanks a sort of mushroom colour - but then they paint many of their exhibits wrongly, despite their extensive records. Contemporary descriptions liken the colour to rich wet brown mud with a tinge of orange, but other accounts compare it to Cadbury chocolate. So I guess the painting of tanks when they arrived at the Tankodrome in France was a bit hit & miss, depending on paint batch, dillution, application etc... and that some soldiers of the time saw the same colour differently. For my own purpose, I use Vallejo Dark Earth Acrylic but lightened a little, with about 20% Vallejo Green Grey - which lessens the 'dark poop' quality of the paint without making it too yellow or too white. It seems like a good 'scale colour' match for 1/35 - I even showed one of my tanks to David Fletcher before he retired, and he gave the colour his approval.
That's an incredible Mdel, never befor i saw a picture of such an brit. WWI self propelled howitzer The amount of Details and the paintjob is simply wonderful. Now the gun needs a crew!
This is one of those "you almost had it buddy, you almost had it" types of vehicles. The most hilarious part of it, of course, being the wheels on the sides. Every time i see it, it makes me chuckle. Plasmo! Hope you had merry holidays, and here's to a good 25! Excited to see what you'll cook this year.
Fantastic job! Love the detail! Would really like to see a bit of the behind the scenes of you at work on Blender to create the engine.. the detail is fantastic
Happy New Year! Good luck on the diorama. As for me, I have to deal with painting the deck of a Yamato after I got too excited and stuck everything on already. Best wishes!
It floors me every time the lighter is used as a comparison. You'd think with the detail here it would be two feet long! Amazing work David! BTW - the Astra Militarum would be proud to field such a glorious weapon crafted during the Dark Age of Technology! For The Emperor!
Good morning my friend, this was another exceptional build from a true master of this great hobby, one thing that takes this buold to the next level, is the small scale, how is the refurbished apartment going? Best regards from Australia, Les
At 1:16 you mention the little holes from supports some slicers will allow you to modify the support end's so that they are better at breaking away (they add a little bit more material in those regions so that when you remove the support there aren't those holes
I have never seen this model before, and the fact its 3d printed I guess gives you the nice raise details this eara model requires... Is this the way forward for models in the future? Its it is the possibilities are endless. Nice little model mate, can't wait to see the dio base you have for it
Truly splendid, but in the case of smaller scales I believe that "less is more" when it comes to weathering, otherwise, to my eyes the model is overwhelmed.
This makes me think of the tracked TEL(transporter erector launcher) for 2P19(SCUD-B) wich has a younger brother tracked TEL carrying the Pukguksong-2 missile. Very cool build though, looks amazing.
I watch every of your videos with great attention and admiration. This is a great work. Love to see a fully 3D printed model. Would like to see some of the 3D printing process if you are willing to share it with us. Regards from Spain.

Well that is a very "lovely" and brilliant model of an absolute monster of an armoured........thing. Enjoyed this video very much, your usual modelling skills with an added kick of 3D printing, (which appears to be a bit like Witchcraft to me, you know, like Theoretical Physics and such.) Anyway, very nice. Wishing you a Happy New Year and.........Orcs rule!!!!!
I watched Bob Ross as a kid and now I enjoy watching you build models just as much! Beautiful job my friend!!
"A happy little Gun Carrier" 😅
I need a new haircut. 😅
As a CAD designer, I will always appreciate when people design their own components, great work!
Thanks. I am already working on the whole printable model, so these small projects are grate for learning and testing.
basically makes his own minis at this point, unbelievable!

I have the tech manual for the Daimler 105hp engine from the Mk 1 British WW1 tank, its once of six know originals in the world.
Wow. It could be a tech relic. How did you get it?
Im fairly certain that's not a 234 Stummel XDD
🍍🐻
It is definitely not. Thanks. Changed. 🫡

What a start into 2025. Again blown away by the detail, the self made improvements, the historic documentation used. Keep em coming!
Outstanding. There's not a large amount of WWI models these days. Well done.
This is a cool piece, especially with the howitzer. Great work as always.

Incredible, OG master.
Amazing work
Great video. Now though, would be the perfect time to build a fire engine as a salute to the firefighters in LA!
Awesome build! I think it would look great as imperial guard SPH for WH40K , needs a bolter or flamer mounted somewhere!
The camo howitzer is awesome
Outstanding 👏👏👏
Just one word "fantastic "
Truly splendid, but in the case of smaller scales I believe that "less is more" when it comes to weathering, otherwise, to my eyes the model is overwhelmed.
