I find this one harder to play as the chords don't change very fast and the 5th of Eb is Bb, so I keep feeling like I have stuffed up playing the next chord too early before the Bb comes in half way through the bar. Also the kind of delayed comping rhythm they use in the Parker recording doesn't fully work here because of where the chords fall. I can't exactly follow what you did at times, and when exactly you used the 3 6 2 5 1, so I am thinking of writing out a re-harmonization of it this weekend. I'll post a link with my ideas on how to improve it.
Thought of Cheryl first. The weirdest blues. Great job man. I wish I just could read and have so much knowledge and freedom to create genuine versions of timeless music
Hi Ron, I did contact Hal Leonard on the Chelsea error and they're changing it, I'll let them know on this too. :-) I did contact them before and requested Cabin in the Sky for Real Book 7!
Wow, James, you're amazing! It's great that they're correcting it, although I'm a little surprised they didn't look over the chords more closely the first time around. All the previous generations of jazz musicians knew about it.

Yes, it has that kind of sound. Strayhorn even recorded a version with Latin rhythms, on one of his few albums as a leader.
