Fyi, some facts about Cakra and his music: 1. He love to sing since child & follow lot of singing contest around his hometown. But unfortunately his dream going to be National kids singer was not lucky. 2. When he was a teenager, he was follow Indonesian Idol selection competition, but his failed at the first audition. His mother was sold some land to support his carrer, but its not work. And her suggested him going college and to forget about his dreaming as a singer. But, his father still support him about the dream, then finally his take music college major in Classical Music in a University in Bandung (Capital City of West Java Province). 3. His still singing from cafe to cafe when his study in university then he know some people in label music (the label under backup by Sony Music Indonesia) & suggested him to follow contest cos they were looking a singer to sing a new song called "Harus Terpisah ("Must be Separated" in English)". From this debut then Indonesia known him, cos this song become booming at that time. This is his debut as a newcomer singer in Indonesian Music Industry. The Funny fact is, he never like that song, ever.

I really like Chakra, great voice and seems like a cool person to hang out with. Not my favorite of his but I love his Tennessee Whiskey. Now that you have heard Chakra's version you must listen to ANGELINA JORDAN'S version at 13 years old, which is much closer to the Etta James version. Etta was a great Jazz, R&B and Soul singer who had many hit songs, which Angelina has covered. I agree that Chakra is a great singer and deserves more recognition. Thanks Omario!
Your right on about him picking the songs and how their different styles, but u missed the part about him not caring how his videos aren't perfect, I think it because he wants to be real, and that's why he posts them imperfect
So far I've often heard chakra singing, it's really good. but since cakra covered the song on youtube i was surprised.. how great even though i had known his songs before.
That was interesting. I liked it. It’s really 50’s-60’s soul, and the Etta James version was a classic. Taking nothing away from this version, you really want to listen to Angelina’s cover. She gives us (at 13, of course) soul on steroids. Angelina absolutely nails it, and one of the best parts is that she’s sitting calmly with her mic, smiling, and then she begins singing and your mouth just drops open. You can tell she’s having fun giving us a voice we’ve never heard or imagined from her before. The girl with a thousand voices…
If you know a band called Simpley Red, their vocalist (Mick Hucknail) sang this song soulfully. Also a young AGT singer contestan (Cuintavious Jhonson) did a great performance too. Just saying. ;)
