I usually fall asleep watching old DVD episodes - just saw this one the other day...so sad she is now gone :( Miss you Rose Marie a/k/a Sally Rogers!!) But, hey...she lived a very long and successful life! RIP Rose Marie!
I recently saw some film clips of “Baby Rose Marie,” back when she was a child performer. She had that deep, somewhat raspy voice even when she was a small girl.
OMGD what a wonderful sharp video to represent the memory of Rose Marie and too show her talent and how pretty she was. This is a wonderful clip of her and she is so pretty here. R I P Ms. Rose Marie now up in Heaven reunited with Morey Amsterdam
I wish I could've found sheet music for this. I just transcribed the melody and harmonies from TH-cam and wrote my own accompaniment for a cabaret show. It went over very well!
Rose was 40 here in that sad December of 1963. I loved The Dick Van Dyke Show ever since my first seeing it in 1964. Almost all of the 158 episodes hold up marvelously after 55+ years since it's sad departure on June 1, 1966. If they had created a 6th season, it would have likely been it's first in color. Alas, Carl Reiner wanted it to end, fearing its scripts would be on the decline after those 158.
Thanks for continuing to deliver the smiles! I just saw this rerun on ION TV last night and have been trying to find an MP3 recording of this song! Maybe this will go viral this year. Thanks for posting it to your TH-cam channel so we can share it with others!
This show wasn’t from my time but I still love it, I got into it because my mom is a huge fan, it’s not really from her time either but hey it’s a good show
Wow. Rose Marie never looked or sounded better, and that dress is knock-out on her. She really "acts" the lyrics and sells a song. Check out another Dick Van Dyke clip of Rosie singing "Cryin' Out My Heart for You" -- my absolute favorite!
Santa send a fella into my life Someone who is shopping around for a wife I would like to order something Cary Granty But even settle for a James Durranty Santa send a fella that's my request As long as he's still breathing he passes the test Forget the fancy paper and the pretty bows Just wind him up Santa and let him go Now your answer may be Dear Ma'am... It's better to give than to receive And my reply would be You're right Give me an Adam on Christmas Eve I'll be waiting Santa don't let me down There must be lots of batchelors all over town If he's old or young or short or tall he's my cup of tea Santa send a fella to me If mister cupid knows about my lack of affection How come his arrows have such a lousy sense of direction They say the army builds men I wish they'd build one for me Oh Santa send a fella to me From Google :)
You can tell Rose had been entertaining since she was a child. Great casting on this show. She and Morey were inspired.
Someone born and destined for show business. Such genius, incomparable.
@@cloverl61A great talent and a joy.
She looks so happy to be performing :)

Since it's been a year since your posting. How'd it go?
@@sue7011 Four years now, I hope well!
This was the original Who's Line Is It Anyway.
i wish i was him
Anyone know who wrote this song?
They don't make the model that I want anymore.
Anybody know the lyrics?
Santa send a fella into my life
Someone who is shopping around for a wife
I would like to order something Cary Granty
But even settle for a James Durranty
Santa send a fella that's my request
As long as he's still breathing he passes the test
Forget the fancy paper and the pretty bows
Just wind him up Santa and let him go
Now your answer may be Dear Ma'am...
It's better to give than to receive
And my reply would be You're right
Give me an Adam on Christmas Eve
I'll be waiting Santa don't let me down
There must be lots of batchelors all over town
If he's old or young or short or tall he's my cup of tea
Santa send a fella to me
If mister cupid knows about my lack of affection
How come his arrows have such a lousy sense of direction
They say the army builds men I wish they'd build one for me
Oh Santa send a fella to me
From Google :)
This is sad.
