AOA Sir I am a premedical student and want to match into a competitive speciality like neurosurgery What should be my strategy for med school are distinctions and good scores important or not?
hey abhinav sir is our country is not better in providing Grants and great opportunities i just wanna stay in my country(india) and wanna do something new in field .what is a research culture in india
Hello Dr Abhinav, Hope you're doing well. I am contacting you on behalf of a new and upcoming brand. I have really enjoyed your content delivery style & how you have engaged with the audience & given valuable preparation tips. Kindly reply your email ID if an exciting brand collaboration interests you. Dr Karthik (PT)
Sir So does it mean you will get more hands on in india as compared to usa..so mean what one should consider btw choosing these options quality or quantity? And what is one biggest factor one should consider while choosing btw neetpg and USMLE.pls help
As far as i know, no indian degrees have value in the usa so in order for you to do fellowship in neurosurgery you will definitely have to clear usmle and go through residency again and then you can finally do your fellowship. I am not 100% sure though so please consult some specialist in this field
Great discussion, I read about you i.e. the neurosurgeon from AIIMS who is pursuing USMLE. I am preparing for my Step 2, gave Step 1 a month ago, I want to match in psychiatry. As of now, I don't have much work experience, no research & I am from a peripheral medical college (Dr SNMC Jodhpur) There are hardly a few seniors / juniors who are in the US, there is no such thing as a SNMCian family in the US. What advice / resources would you recommend so as to make this process a bit less daunting & lonely ?
matching into neurosurgery is the toughest for IMG , not demotivating but don't live in delusion, imgs usually get (if they get) internal medicine, general medicine and psych sometimes. getting into surgery or any other demanded fields take so much research for imgs and its really difficult. you will put you 100% and still not be selected so don't get surprised .
he is so calm ..bruh i can keep listening to him all day long
So matured discussions thanks a lot ❤
Great Neurosurgeon Dr Abhinav Singh Verma ❤❤ and Great Dr Bhavik Bansal ❤❤

25-35 Lakh with no guarantees of getting a seat
Sir , I need your help, please, I am confused .
May I ask?
Is it possible to get neurosurgery residency through USMLE?
possible but they prefer their students first. even if u pass all steps with merit, they still prefer US citizens first
PLAB is better in my opinion, USMLE didn't give u a guarantee whether u can work with them or not even if u have better clinical test scores, they don't prefer it. but PLAB only cares about merit
Yes but the path is not that easy not at all! U have to publish many research papers!
