For Mass Effect 3, specing in Shotgun Infiltrator is another fun way to use the class. Granted to get the most out of it, you will need to upgrade the gun you want to use a few times for an ideal weight
Most of my insanity runs is infiltrator with the biggest, fattest, sniper rifle i can find. Widow in 2, and javelin in 3 usually, once i can get them of course. Doing a hardcore run with sentinel right now, and uh... either infiltrator is just that good, or im just only good at that class because damn if this isnt harder ...as for harder difficulties with the other classes... lol not happening.
@@supervegito2277im not a fan of the "pure" classes like soldier engineer and adept. Im a mid wild card player in most contexts. And infiltrator just has the best "defy the fates" power in both 23 and then i can take two biotic specs in 1 as i would cover the tech expertise freeing me from having to have tali or garrus as mandatory squad picks.
Good analysis. Stay vigilant if you play this class on Insanity Mode, tho. While you're practically invincible in ME2, in ME3 Insanity Mode, the cloak is unreliable : a lot of enemies will still attack you.
Inflitrator + fully-upgraded Tactical Cloak + skills that upgrade sniper rifles' damage + Level X Javelin = just a step below the level of the God of Snipers (Garrus).
I’ll always remember fondly my first play through of ME3 (LE), from 2 to 3 as an Infiltrator, doing the Omega DLC, and on the last stretch to save Aria, I literally went invisible, pushed a button, and go invisible again to go to the next button. Skipping all the combat in the thunder dome because I WAS *NOT* READY FOR IT XD With Petrovsky and the Cerberus’s forces barks, I had this image in my head of our dear general looking at his forces scattered trying their dammed hardest to find Shepard, only for Petrovsky to look somewhere and see my Shepard quickly typing something on one of the consoles, and before Petrovsky can hopelessly point at him, Shepard looks at him, gives him a “peace” sign, and disappears again as the last lock is disabled.
1:40 Hard disagree on squadmates, Wrex and Tali are better. You have biotics from Wrex, and they both can specialize as survivable shotguners to hold the front while you snipe from the back.
A small note about the infiltrator in ME2 is that you can obtain 3 sniper rifle upgrades relatively early compared to most weapons, which makes insanity runs easier in the early game sections
Just replayed ME3 as Infiltrator and I can say that if you get AP Bullets ability and weapon damage armor and research, then you can two shot Brutes, mechs and Banshees once you get their shields down if you are cloaked and have the upgrade to deal more damage with the sniper rifle
In me 3 the wraith and valiant are great picks to do shotgun infiltrator and still have a sniper option for places where hiding corners are scarce. Gotta throw the cash for getting both though.
Infiltrator is simply the best char if you can have AR in ME1 In ME2: Because the shared cooldown, doesnt matter if you have 5 great offense spell, or just one. and incinerate is the best of the best, so i just spam it on insanity because your ammo is nonexistant, and cloack is allways a good escape. in ME3, Infiltrator is still great
I like to use Garrus and Vega for maximum firepower and having three ammo-types. Just get in there with your shotgun and geth shield (EDI-matrix-bingbong) and show those bastards what REAL firepower is.
I still like this class, similar to Rogues but I honestly thought it would be like Dragon Age (I ❤️ Dragon Age) or KOTOR, basically stealth, lockpicking/hacking, trap disarming, and subterfuge. I love playing the rogue class, I am a rogue IRL.
Infiltrator class = easy mode for insanity difficulty. I usually always play adept (space magic, hello) but after mastering infiltrator, those 2 classes are equally favored.
protip: using the team upgrade for cryo ammo, infiltrator is damn near guaranteed to 1 shot everything from cloak (even on my insanity runs). It felt almost broken but I felt like a true assassin.
Infiltrator is the class I had the least fun with. In fact, in ME2, I didn't even finish Act 1 (I quit mid "Recruit the Krogan" mission, and still had to recruit Jack). There's not enough cover in a game with a cover system for the class, the fact that ME2 is notoriously stingy with its ammo drops makes the infiltrator's flexibility pretty much non, and ME's wonky aiming system also messes with accuracy and makes this class much less enjoyable than it should be. This was also my 3rd attempt to play and enjoy the Infiltrator. Infiltrator is literally the only class in the game that made me quit playing. I cannot state how much I dislike the class.

Infiltrator is usually the class I pick. I'm trying to branch out and try others, but tactical cloak is just too good.

I abused the tactical cloak at my first ME 2 Insanity run. The collector ship almost broke me.

I almost never used the cloak. Sniper Rifles, Overload, and Hack was all I ever really needed.

I'm the engineer class in my playthrough, and I use sinper rifles a lot. So basically, I'm Infiltrator, but not.
Had a salarian infiltrator for me3 multiplayer. Killed it

Solider, Engineer or Infiltrator are the overall best classes depending on your preferred play-style.
Wrong way to look at it. Biotics are the fun and cinematic playthrough. The rest are Star Wars Troopers
