Jeune artiste viril et mâture....d´une technique souple et bien ponctuée... tous les plans de la Waldstein bien charpentés et nuancés... un toucher d´une grande élégance sans manières...un naturel aisé. Une sonate rarement entendue de cette qualité. Si la diction du 1ª Mvt est remarquable de précision...le 2ª Mvt est d´une intime confidencialité traduite ici avec une rare concentration d´esprit et de coeur émouvants...et d´une élegante diction... le 3º mvt d´une très sûre volonté avec des aisances de jeux nuancés d´une exceptionnelle qualité... Voilà une sonate de haute voltige par un artiste de belle prestance avec une force mentale des plus élevée.- Jiyong rencontré par hazard nous excite à le découvrir plus encore dans d´autres oeuvres avec la même certitude qu´il produira quelquechose de haute voltige.... There's an indelible and spontaneous quality in his playing. Think about the repetitive nature of practicing and rehearsing... still and yet, he manages to impart some sense of something organic and natural. I really love this pianist.
This is one of those very rare performances where the pianist seems to disappear, the piano disappears and you, the listener, are left alone in the room with Beethoven.
This more or less reinforces my belief that it's impossible to create one's ideal mood or color being able to feel it yourself in the moment. Music begins in the mind, the instrument is but one means to convey it to others. It's not always necessary for one to show it as clearly as this on the outside, but it's always ALWAYS better to feel it than not feel it. People often get so hung-up on moving towards or away from certain notes for 'proper phrasing' that they lose sight of the bigger picture - the intangibles that add color and character to a performance. That stuff tends to happen naturally when people focus on the meaning first. This is an awesome performance, and I wish the world were full of musicians like this.
The real test of this piece is to be able to sustain the tension of this sonata from the very first notes of its theme to its inexorable end! Very few can achieve this, BUT our soloist seemed to have swallowed this sonata whole, all in one piece!!! BRAVO!

발트슈타인으로 입시해본 사람은 이걸 이렇게 자연스럽게 친다는 게 얼마나 힘든 건지 알 듯... 이어야 할 부분에서 끊는 것도, 끊어야 할 부분에서 잇는 것도 이 피아니스트만의 매력인 듯... 솔직히 대부분의 사람들이 그렇게 안 치다보니 처음엔 어색했는데 연주력이 좋아서 듣다보니 이런 해석도 되는 구나 싶어서 감탄하게 됨... 이런점들이 지용이라는 피아니스트를 아이돌 그 자체로 만드는 모먼트인 듯.
It's hard to believe Ludwig never married and had an unpleasant disposition after listening to how he can take a seemingly gloomy tune and suddenly make the sun come out in the most lovely way that will bring you to tears. How was it that this man was so gifted and blessed yet lived a miserable life of deafness and suffering? It's absolutely baffling! His music still touches my heart, soul, and spirit in my older years, just as it did in my younger ones. It's sad that people today wouldn’t even know who he was if you asked them. 😢
Wow. I stumbled upon this fantastic artist by chance, and stayed glued to the screen throughout the Sonata. I have to say that I tend to have more admiration for the older generations of pianists, but Ji left me dumbfounded. The precision and clarity of his playing, the perfect taste that he puts into each phrase, the impeccable use of the pedal, are absolutely miraculous. Found you on Spotify Ji, followed, and will listen to your Bach very soon. Brava.

@@양자역학-s3e 다른 연주자 분들도 정말 많이 대단하시지만 항상듣다보면 어느부분은 저렇게도 해석이 가능하구나 싶지만 제 해석과 달라 조금 아쉬웠고 어느 부분은 또 제 해석과 같아 좋았었기에 들쑥 날쑥 했었습니다. 모든 음악이 같을 수 없기에 다르다는것은 너무나도 잘 알죠. 하지만 지용님은 처음부터 끝까지 제스타일에 부합하는 연주를 해주시고 같은 스타일로 해석이 된 연주를 처음보아서 들뜬 나머지 저렇게 얘기했었던 것 같습니다
병원에 입원중인 70대 할머니인 자신이 50년전에 쳤던 발트슈타인을 치는 청년(지용군)연주력에, 감탄하고, 여태껏보지 못한 곡해석에 경이로움을 금치못합니다

느낌대로 치는데 멋있는건 참 희귀한 것입니다. 호르몬이 폭발하는 느낌은 저 나이의 사람들만 할수 있는 연주고 참 듣기 좋네요. 젊은 나날들이 떠올라 마음이 뒤숭숭해지네요. 연주 참 좋아요. 감사합니다.
한달에 몇번씩 들으러 옵니다. 귀로들을때와 다르게 표정하나하나 동작하나하나 다볼수있는 영상이라 감동이 그때그때 다르네요. 정말이지 말로 다할수 없이 최고입니다ㅎ
