Love the Custodes content, don't know if anyone already mentioned this, just one thing to add for your battle reports. Seems the microphone that records the audio(probably the one on the device you also film from since it does not happen for your normal videos) records a single audio channel which cause the voice to only be played on one ear if using headphones to listen to it which can be annoying to some, so I would recommend changing the audio track in your video editing software to mono for the audio track of the voice recording.
@phoebis-635 I tried recording with just one mic instead of the 2 since a lot of the game it is just me yapping away, and the 2nd mic will pick up a lot of background noise. I'll have to see if I can then change it to Mono or figure out something else. Thanks for mentioning it, though!
As a custodes player I have to go up against Dark Angels soon in a game. I am trying to guess what units he will field. If I was a dark angels player I would take a lot of plasma as in hellblasters, Primaris Repulsor Executioner (I think that is the one that puts out a lot of shooting). Going against custodes I think it is the one and only faction that taking meele units aginst is pointless. You are not going to out meele them in an even fight. Deathwing knights stay at home for that fight. Hence I am expecting the dark angel player to come with a lot of shooting power. Hence as a custodes taking a lot of infantry would be better, maybe terminators to drop in behind the tanks ? What do you think about a custodes force to deal with a lot of shooting firepower ?
Is it part of a league or just a friendly match where you can cater your lists? Would be much different in a tournament style list like we were using vs something designed to trump your opponents army
@@mikehamilton8782 It is part of league you have to stick with your faction and detatchment but that is about it. We know in advance what faction they run but nothing else. I guess the general question is playing against space marines how do you aovid getting shoot off the table by tanks, and hellblasters :)
You have to plan for future turns. Try to be out of LoS as much as possible while you are moving up the board, turn 1 and 2. Do not go for those big 9" charges early. The charges that leave you open to be shot to death if you fail. The gun line lists sometimes fall to the trap of killing all their scoring units. Then, just win on points. Ignore trying to kill everything on the board. Target those scoring units.
Was a blast to play! The first legion didnt rep so well but we will back, the hunt for the Fallen will never cease!!!
