It was Vince that booked Bray badly and sometimes in turn his opponents as well. Bray's first feud after Vince left (in July 2022) ended up helping his opponent, LA Knight, by elevating him and showcasing his skills/talent.
Bobby Lashley looked great & is an athletic freak! Idiot fans always want to act like it's some malevolent plot when someone doesn't get resigned, sometimes things just run their course. Bobby ran his course in WWE, now he has a ton of options. Bobby can sit home & spend time with his family, where he will probably get a call from WWE after a year or so. Another option is he can go to AEW & earn a massive payday where he only has to work once a week & can take bookings in Japan if he pleases.

@@AlegendArises If the Hurt Business was making money for the company, it would still be around. They had their run, and it was a pretty good one, but things change. For all we know, viewership may have started to dip when HB was on TV, merch sales for them may have gone down, and there may have been other reasons to dissolve the group. And I might be wrong, but I think Vince was still making decisions for creative back when the Hurt Business broke up, so even he saw that it wasn't a money-making venture anymore.

What I will say, as a black person, is that the Hurt Business was definitely marketable if effort was put into it. Bobby and LA Knight used to do things in TNA I am surprised it never happened in WWE, although the characters don't really mesh with the way they are booked in WWE but they liked working together
His best gimmick was definitely the " ALL MIGHTY " run. Other than that Vince nearly ended his career with the whole Rusev Lana angle and turned it into a porno. I am guessing Triple H wanted Lashley to be a senior attraction for the upcoming talent , like him building new stars , but Lashley wanted a lengthy run like Roman Reigns but that was never possible. Lashley is pretty much a veteran now , but he believes he deserves a treatment Brock Lesnar got which was also a terrible booking.
Ppl seem to forget that aside from The Hurt Business Era (which lasted like 3 months with NO FANS), Bobby's booking by Vince was AWFUL. Dude came out wearing a headband, looking like part of the safety patrol. Then when that didn't work he got stuck with 4'7 tall midget manager. That wasnt half bad actually, since he did name Bobby Almighty, so aside from him having Bobby bend over and spread his cheeks every week, it was ok. Then finally he was part of the Cuck storyline with Rusef and Lana. I'm sure he enjoyed that very much, but it was hell for the rest of us, so how the hell was Vince's booking so much better?
After that he became champion also with MVP and made a new faction of hurt business. He was booked fantastic by vince

Bloodline is being build like a blend of Nation of Domination and New World Order. It has the potential to be a big storyline that can span years compared to Hurt Business. Vince would rather make Lashley beat Undertaker at Wrestlemania than make a proper booking of him.

Sometimes people just don't fit the vision of the people running the company. While Bobby is more talented than being just a big muscled meathead, the world of professional wrestling is moving more towards the more average-sized wrestlers. You don't see many 7 footers or jacked up wrestlers anymore, hence why we don't see Omos on TV unless it's a Royal Rumble or Battle Royal. I think Bobby could definitely be great on WWE TV still, liked what they were doing with him and the Street Profits. To be honest, bringing him back as a heel and challenging Cody would be a match I'd want to see more than Cody vs. KO.

I think this is true. Vince gave him a good spotlight. Bobby was the total package but I always felt like he was missing something.
Mic skills were average at best
Lashley is in Edge's position - both are on either side of 50 years old (yes, Lashley doesn't look it, but those injuries say otherwise) and WWE has nothing for them as they focus on building a new generation. Plus, you have a ceiling if you can't talk well. Besides, Lashley had a great run.

People forget that Bobby during his second run under Vince was given some of the worst stuff of his career. And Vince didn’t believe in the hurt buisness even though it was great.
Also during his first run Vince didn’t actually give Bobby anything to work with other than he strong; while other people in his position were given stiff to help them for better or worse. Brock was given Paul heyman to build him up in promos, Ted dibiase jr was given a faction to help him, Roman was given a faction and the endorsement of the rock at the rumble; Bobby didn’t really have anything other than be dominating.
He should really try and go back to TNA under WWE and help that connection thrive.

I’ve honestly never been a fan of Lashley. I never bought the hype. Never thought he was a good storyteller or good on the mic. I never liked his style of in-ring either. His exit doesn’t really mean much to me at all.

Idk, but in my personal opinion, he's wwe title reign was pretty mediocre. The second one was even worst. The Hurt Business faction was OK but also it was overshadowed by Bloodline.
Now he did pinned Brock for the title but then what? Brock humiliated him over and over again when they faced each other in a war of words . After that there was a clear and obvious fact - Lashley couldn't bring it to the table to feud with Brock. He's a gifted athlete and always working his ass off on the ring. But he's lacking natural charisma and ability to cut promos. It is what it is. HHH just saw it.

Vincent booked Bobby in embarrassing segments with actors dressed up as his sisters, had Lio rush of all people as his heel manager and booked him into an affair story with Lana, broke up the hurt business before they hit their stride and even after putting the wwe belt on him, Vince rarely booked Bobby 2 main event big shows (except hell in a cell) because he wasn't Roman! Yes Vince really "understood" Bobby.
