Charlie is the voice of reason on all of TH-cam in my opinion, he calls out bullshit but he can joke too. And i like his monotone voice, i’m really tired of people screaming on my screen like “WHATS UP GUYS TODAY WE ARE DOING SOMETHING CRAZY YOU’RE NOT GONNA BELIEVE THIS” It’s fake and overwhelming, I just love how chill Charlie and his takes and gameplays are.
this is living proof as well, i think. youtube's recommended you to me, and right now you're at 1.2K views :) i can also see your other videos gaining more traction because you've provided a mini overview of what your channel is like, albeit not necessarily with that intent. you're living proof.
True, be yourself. Charlie didn't necessarily broke the mold though. He's been an online presence (streaming/youtube) before any "niches" were even a thing. And you're right about your TH-cam videos basically being tickets for the lottery, the only thing is if you actually "win" you should hopefully have already built your channel decently enough or have a good direction/focus on what you do. Otherwise it's a pretty useless win. Good video keep at it.
His true "charm," at the end of the day, lies in his authenticity. Even as his social numbers soar, he’s managed to stay true to himself and create content he genuinely enjoys. That’s incredibly inspiring. When it comes to "lottery wins," I think an early one-hit wonder might actually be one of the worst things that can happen to someone. Struggling through different ideas for a few years before landing on something that feels genuine and fulfilling is a much better path.
