Glad to see you guys had a wonderful Christmas and even better to see Meonji doing so well. I am very deeply sorry and sad to hear about Mustache’s passing! He was one of my favorite kitties and I always loved seeing him come out to greet you when he used to be so shy and hide under the cars. :( I will remember him in my heart and keep him in my prayers. This year was a bit financially tight for me due to various circumstances, but I do hope to resume sending Christmas presents again this year !
we have always done Christmas Eve in my family.... this year i spent it in Virginia and and instead of our traditional christmas dinner my mom made my favorite meal... cube steak , baked potato , and italian salad.... then open all the presents. Christmas morning was spent at my other family house for Christmas breakfast then on a plane to come back home! Have Happy New Year!!!
Your mom was smart to wrap that Korean postal box in paper from Canada to SK! I once used a Korean postal box my daughter sent here to the US from Seoul. I was very careful to take all the previous shipping info off the box and was proud of myself for recycling the box back to Korea. It went from Miami to Incheon where someone thought the addresses were surely mixed up because of the Korean box and it was sent BACK to Miami! It took 10 weeks for it to get it sorted out and where it was going in Jamsil! My poor daughter didn't get her summer clothes until August. In Seoul!

They, along with firefighters, are the most respected government employees from us South Koreans, but their work is too intense! That's why our government has been recruiting more postmen lately.🐻

Normally we spend Christmas with my dad but he passed last year and we miss him so much. My daughter moved in an apartment recently and we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there and made a lot of food and opened presents 🎁 it was a nice day. In our house christmas eve we go look at the christmas lights ( people's houses the have bern adorned with christmas lights and other christmas themed garden decorations) usually we just drive around but some people go to so much effort that you can ark the car and walk around their gardens. Then its home for cocktails/ drinks, snacks and a christmas movie like the Grinch or Nightmare before Christmas. I love how the nice viewer sent the street cats presents. They are become less stray cats and more like your outdoor carport kitties😙. And Beemos face with the "He wants to kill us so bad" stare cracked me up. My cat Kevin has his birthday and christmas together as hevwas born a couple of days before though hes not a real catnip fan. We spend Christmas Eve with my in-laws-my parents are up in heaven with my nephew. ❤️ Traditionally, we make tamales, but ran out of time this year, so we had a ham dinner, and opened up gifts together. We actually celebrate Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day - I am Polish and Catholic. The main dinner, gifts exchange and Christmas Mass are on Christmas Eve. Lots of traditional dishes, lots of fish and singing carols. And then getting ready to visit the rest of the family and friends over the next few days.
Up until the past dozen or so years ago, I did not really celebrate Christmas, at least not in the typical ways a lot of people do. A bit about my background, growing up, there was no gift giving, or decorating the house with trees or displays, nor did we attend any large gatherings of family and friends in my family. Jumping forward a bit, as a young adult I served overseas in the military, where a vast majority of my Christmases were spent in some war zone somewhere, where the closest thing reassembling a Christmas celebration was attending chaplain service on some base, getting a hot meal at the chow hall instead of MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) or on patrol or stuck in a fox hole or blown out building, where the closest thing to gift giving was exchanging some candy some of us may had, or packs of cigarettes or chewing some other items we may have that reminds us of home. Now fast forward to meeting my wife, having a family of my own, where my wife came from a very different background where the holidays were celebrated with lots of food, family, friends, drinks and good cheer. To be honest this was very hard for me, as I was not use to any of this, plus I've lost a few friends along the way around the holidays during my deployments which at this time of the year often reminds me of. Now over the years I've been somewhat able to lay some of this stuff aside, and have enjoyed the holidays with those that I love. Thank you for letting me share some of this.
I actually made the feast on Christmas Eve so that it carries over on Christmas Day and I can relax, lol. I don't have a huge family though so I can get away with that. It's only me, my mom, brother, and aunt. My favorite part about that meal is the leftover ham. I made bean soup with the ham and bone, so good, and a box of Jiffy cornbread. We're STILL making holiday sweets! So far I've made fudge, chocolate covered cherries, and peanut butterballs. Still need peanut butter fudge and haystacks. My brother loooooves peanut butter, loool. We watched a bunch of movies and I spent the remaining break studying. I'll be taking calculus and last Spanish class this Spring semester.
That is what our family watched. Laughed so hard, Our Christmas Eve tradition,Turkey, duck, Han and chicken .25 family and friends , then candle light church service with family, an then end night with Christmas movies, Favourite time of year.
I got to church on Christmas Eve but as church can sometimes be a tiny bit boring me and the music group I'm in play some Christmas songs there for the people - I am playing the violin. After that it's food time where I stuff myself until I feel sick hahaha and after opening presents I spend time with my family, playing games and stuff. :) I got this fitness tracking wristwatch for Christmas- but all I did until now was lots of eating and chillin' so there is nothing to track ;DD
Beemo's pompom hat reminds me of my elementary school days. My mom always forced me to put on a pompom hat in winter, but I hated it so much that I greeted her and as soon as I got out of our house, I took off the green pompom hat and put it in my school bag.👻

I think a lot of people ate pizza on Christmas because I was taking care of my friend's cats and she had no food so I ordered delivery pizza from Dominos (ETA was 30 min and it came almost 2 hours later. The timer didn't show "in the oven" until over an hour later)
In Sweden we open presents and all on xmas eve. We eat a Christmas lunch then later we "fika" while watching some old donald duck thing on the tv that they have been showing for yeeeears! I think most Swedes have the same tradition when it comes to that. It is on for an hour and after santa comes if there are any smaller kids, otherwise we just hand them all out and open them. Then it's time for Christmas dinner and too much candy 🤗

We like to stay at home. but we rarely did. this year fiance had a tooth ache, but we did stay at home. The 2nd day however, was spent at the dentist office -emergency, as the regular offices are closed.
I'm from Denmark, so we don't celebrate on the 25th. We celebrate on the 24th instead :) In my family we get together, eat turkey (though most people in Denmark eat duck or pork) along with caramelized potatoes, boiled potatoes, and red cabbage. After dinner we will play a gift game, then eat a type of rice dessert with whipped cream and almonds in it, and lastly open the presents we have waiting under the christmas tree. After all this, a lot of young people go out drinking with their friends.

Up until the past dozen or so years ago, I did not really celebrate Christmas, at least not in the typical ways a lot of people do. A bit about my background, growing up, there was no gift giving, or decorating the house with trees or displays, nor did we attend any large gatherings of family and friends in my family. Jumping forward a bit, as a young adult I served overseas in the military, where a vast majority of my Christmases were spent in some war zone somewhere, where the closest thing reassembling a Christmas celebration was attending chaplain service on some base, getting a hot meal at the chow hall instead of MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) or on patrol or stuck in a fox hole or blown out building, where the closest thing to gift giving was exchanging some candy some of us may had, or packs of cigarettes or chewing some other items we may have that reminds us of home. Now fast forward to meeting my wife, having a family of my own, where my wife came from a very different background where the holidays were celebrated with lots of food, family, friends, drinks and good cheer. To be honest this was very hard for me, as I was not use to any of this, plus I've lost a few friends along the way around the holidays during my deployments which at this time of the year often reminds me of. Now over the years I've been somewhat able to lay some of this stuff aside, and have enjoyed the holidays with those that I love. Thank you for letting me share some of this.

I actually made the feast on Christmas Eve so that it carries over on Christmas Day and I can relax, lol. I don't have a huge family though so I can get away with that. It's only me, my mom, brother, and aunt. My favorite part about that meal is the leftover ham. I made bean soup with the ham and bone, so good, and a box of Jiffy cornbread. We're STILL making holiday sweets! So far I've made fudge, chocolate covered cherries, and peanut butterballs. Still need peanut butter fudge and haystacks. My brother loooooves peanut butter, loool. We watched a bunch of movies and I spent the remaining break studying. I'll be taking calculus and last Spanish class this Spring semester.
That is what our family watched. Laughed so hard, Our Christmas Eve tradition,Turkey, duck, Han and chicken .25 family and friends , then candle light church service with family, an then end night with Christmas movies, Favourite time of year.

I got to church on Christmas Eve but as church can sometimes be a tiny bit boring me and the music group I'm in play some Christmas songs there for the people - I am playing the violin. After that it's food time where I stuff myself until I feel sick hahaha and after opening presents I spend time with my family, playing games and stuff. :) I got this fitness tracking wristwatch for Christmas- but all I did until now was lots of eating and chillin' so there is nothing to track ;DD
Beemo's pompom hat reminds me of my elementary school days. My mom always forced me to put on a pompom hat in winter, but I hated it so much that I greeted her and as soon as I got out of our house, I took off the green pompom hat and put it in my school bag.👻

I think a lot of people ate pizza on Christmas because I was taking care of my friend's cats and she had no food so I ordered delivery pizza from Dominos (ETA was 30 min and it came almost 2 hours later. The timer didn't show "in the oven" until over an hour later)

In Sweden we open presents and all on xmas eve. We eat a Christmas lunch then later we "fika" while watching some old donald duck thing on the tv that they have been showing for yeeeears! I think most Swedes have the same tradition when it comes to that. It is on for an hour and after santa comes if there are any smaller kids, otherwise we just hand them all out and open them. Then it's time for Christmas dinner and too much candy 🤗

These are two parts of a one hour situation. They mix a few together and it has been a thing since 1960 in sweden and airs on christmas eve at 15:00 😊It is pure christmas to me 💖

We like to stay at home. but we rarely did. this year fiance had a tooth ache, but we did stay at home. The 2nd day however, was spent at the dentist office -emergency, as the regular offices are closed.

I'm from Denmark, so we don't celebrate on the 25th. We celebrate on the 24th instead :)
In my family we get together, eat turkey (though most people in Denmark eat duck or pork) along with caramelized potatoes, boiled potatoes, and red cabbage.
After dinner we will play a gift game, then eat a type of rice dessert with whipped cream and almonds in it, and lastly open the presents we have waiting under the christmas tree. After all this, a lot of young people go out drinking with their friends.
spend time with some friends for a light Christmas get together. Our family doesn't celebrate Christmas Eve. We only celebrate on Christmas Day. I wonder how many viewers here celebrate Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
