Tanto bom. Obrigado. What I love about this format is that it introduces both vocabulary as well as works on one's listening skills through small paragraph stories for all the different sections as opposed to just lists of words.
This is the way how you have to learn a foreign language not only grammatica ! Portuguese learning is a combination of grammatica and above all listening.
I am simply getting acquainted with listening, and pronunciation. A total beginner of course. Curious to find the alphabet to make sense of it all. Thanks very much.
Muinto obrigada Susana. Eu tenho vivendo no estrangeiro á 43 anos e aás vezes não tenho a certeza come se escrevem certas palavras ou como construir uma frase.
As a beginner I have to use a translator app to work out the meaning of the words it would really help if you could include the English translation on the screen thanks
Hello Dear Portuguese Lab , thanks for your good and profit Portuguese learning channel. I almost travel to Lisbon cause of my job, I am learning Portuguese language through your channel. I have a problem. I hope you help me to solve it. what is the problem : all ATM machine language in Lisbon is Portuguese and I have a problem to work them because my Portuguese is basic . would you please make a video that educate me and other people like me to how to work with ATM machine language . thank you for your good channel . Ali Ahmadi
Hi! You can choose the language on the bottom left side of the screen, but this is not available on all machines. Here's a page that might help you: smartexpat.com/portugal/how-to-guides/financial-legal/banks/multibanco-system
A very nice approach - and your pronunciation is very clear. Thank you. BUT, why do you (and almost every other online teacher!) speak so quickly, and without pauses? I know the second time you speak more slowly, and that is good, easier to follow. BUT, to me it would be better to speak slowly the FIRST time. Then you could speak the second time slowly, or more quickly. But the first time should be slower. Muito obrigado.
I noticed that you say both 'corredor *das* bolachas' and 'corredor *do* vinho' in your example sentences. In the English you'd typically only be able to use the singular in this context. Are both the singular and the plural possible in Portuguese?
Olá Steve, "bolachas" are measurable (it's not the aisle of "the" cookie). You can have "corredor do vinho" (not measurable) or "corredor dos vinhos" (as in, wine bottles).
Obrigado pela lição! But I find the example of the tense sounding off at 6.09 to 6.32 with regards to pôr/colocar. Doesn't it have to be conjugated in the present tense as its something that you do on a regular basis as opposed to pretérito perfeito simples? Just asking as i was a bit confused. Obrigado
In the example you mention, the first event in the sentence "pus as compras no tapete" happened before the second event in the sentence "ponho-as no tapete", that's why you need the pretérito perfeito simples (even if you're referring to something you usually do). When I already "did" this (1), I "do" this (2). Maybe thinking in English is confusing you?
Maybe all expensive schools that people pay for bad teachers can take a notice how to present the material as in this video. Money wasted - bad teaching. Great video!
I have a Masters in Ed. I need a framework for what I am saying? Why don't you have the English equivalent underneath or above the Portuguese sentence? That's why I and probably 1000's of others move on to "normal" language learning methods!
Tenho duas perguntas. Usa atendida ao contrário de atendido. Está porque você é mulher? Usaria atendido porque eu sou um homem? Obrigado para me ajudar. A segunda ... I know that estar + a + infinitive = "ing" in english as in Estou a falar...I am talking. In the phrase "...porque não está ninguém à espera.", I would have anticipated "......porque não está ninguém a esperar.". The grammar on this one is confusing me.
Very beautiful language with lovely chiados. Thanks. Good luck.

O que significa "o moeda de plastico"? Plastic coin??
Exatamente. É uma moeda de plástico para usar nos carrinhos de supermercado.
@@Portugueselab Obrigado. Já estive em muitos supermercados em muitos lugares portugueses mas nunca vi um moeda plástico.
Is this video for Portuguese or Non-Portuguese. I did not understand any thing. Can you make translation, Please.
You can see in the video, transcript + translation on the website www.portugueselab.com :)
I tried to get the translation from portugueselab.com but it just opens the first page as an image to save and not as PDF

It would be more better If you translate in english as well!!
Às vezes parece-me errada a pronúncia do s antes de vogal...
O som do "s" muda quando seguido de uma palavra começada por vogal em discurso rápido. :)
Please translate English
