A few further notes on 18's mixup/blockstring reset. Most of the time there's a gab between the 5M and the delayed 2H, so if you use 2H you'll be able to catch people trying to jab out but you also have the chance of deflecting. So it's usually safer to use 5H if you are worried about someone reflecting. In addition if you don't have assists available you can do 2H > 214L, which is easier to get out of but is still a hard mixup for opponents to get out of (iirc you have to reversal/DP/reflect to get out of 214L mixups). Also thanks to the Instant Air Dash you can use your command grab after the mixup, which is much harder to see than a Dragon Rush but does less damage and it takes longer to come out.
programninja Thanks for the awesome tips, I’m gonna pin this. I was able to keep 5M > 2H a true blockstring even with a small delay but I haven’t tried it on the whole cast yet.
You can also just 5M > 5H > 2H to prevent that gap from happening. Then use 214L to make it safe. If they 5M > 2H then you can punish the delay potentially, if they 5H > 2H, you'll be counter hit.
