Saw Dylan in this tour in Sheffield. Absolutely mesmeric......you could hear a pin drop. Hard to realise now that it split teenage communities....you either loved him or hated him.
he has a air about him .. like a mystical haze , a unseen magic , he's magnetic and I'm like steel .. . drawn and stuck to him like its a life purpose . his eyes have never changed . his face , his personality , his music , his clothes , guitar , style .. everything changes just as on every person ... but his eyes .. they're so beautiful ,it almost like if you could look so deeply into them you may just fall In , fall so deeply into his eyes that when you resurface you come back with the secrets to life , a book of Magic and even a new face. there's nobody else like him. I'd do anything to spend a day with him .. even if we sat silently ... just to be in the presence of him is satisfying. I went to see him last year in London .. and It was the most electrifying , magical , most amazing night of my life .. if I'd of died that night from my heart bursting open ... I'd of died a happy woman .
That was a great description. He definatly seems to embody some primordial, archetypal force, and reside within some mythic state of being, beyond rationale, like he strides on another plane, beyond the meer temporal and material, and relates this perception through his words and nuances, like a visionary correspondence. The Druidic Trickster. I too went to see him in London last year and it felt like a symphony.
This clip is just sensational.Great to see the late, great Allen Ginsberg enjoying himself at 1.30 onwards. What an era to have been alive in........truly stoned immaculate !!
GRIMM DAY that’s funny. The meaning of the song says the opposite. It actually implies that the narrator belongs to the woman to which he is speaking about.
I watched this clip. I have to say as much as I love Dylan. If I woke up to him starring at me like that. I would run out of that room so fast. No shoe's jesus! That's all I know.
One of my favorite Dylan songs of all time, might even be my favorite. It's a shame this was left out of the movie but I'm glad this clip exists nonetheless, might have to end up buying this criterion release at some point
There is a sweet innocence to Bobbie coupled with a sense of mystic wonder and delight. Only in a surreal dream would I be able to see Alan Ginsberg dance.
Great footage indeed! I wonder, is the couple on 0:40 Dylan's manager Albert Grossman and his wife Sally Grossman, the lady on the cover of Bringing It All Back Home?
It's weird, but Sally Grossman is positioned in a similar pose as she appears on the album cover of Bringing It All Back Home, as well as holding a cigarette in her right hand and wearing a knee length skirt. (I wonder if this was staged.)
I think he was on drugs, a person makes those facial expressions and that thing with their mouth when they do coke which wouldn't surprise me because it were the 60s lmao
Did they cut this because of the joints flying around? Beautiful- especially the opening phone call: “Okay, and if I can’t do that (get the guests under control), I’ll call you back.” 😂
My favorite Dylan clip yet. There is just nothing more bad ass than playing this in an empty auditorium.

I was thinking that i'd like to be around that sunglassed woman.
I was about to write this exact comment. That look of calm power he has when he was on the stage with his guitar.

Texas Radio :-) I got your reference. Long live Bob.
Allen Ginsberg showed up at my uncles house after a lecture late one night and I guess it was quite a party.
What a sight to see Ginsberg dancing
How cool would it be to hang out with the two of them?
What i wouldn't give to be that camera man when Bob was singing In the empty auditorium. It'd be like a personal concert just for you
This is literally my favorite video clip of all time!! 🔮⚡️🎸🙌🙌
I need this re-release in my life!
Always returning to this song. I sent it to my true love and she said “pretty song but I don’t belong to anyone.”
GRIMM DAY that’s funny. The meaning of the song says the opposite. It actually implies that the narrator belongs to the woman to which he is speaking about.
If you can make her understand, that YOU are the place to fall, she will let herself stumble . And belong to you.
@@kathidori8504 wow.... -- thank you for the comment! I had to go over to your channel to find out more about who wrote it. 💛
This is so great 😭❤️

Dylans' Manager at the time Albert Grossmans wife, Sally.
Yes, it's Sally Grossman.
@@viviandarkbloom100 how did AG end up with a hottie like that?
@@bellinghammond Well he was rich. So there's that.
@@viviandarkbloom100 so was Bobby!
Another out-take! It seems to me, after all the clips I’ve seen, that out-takes outnumber the takes used in the film!
Great clip.

RIP D. A Pennebaker.
I think he is the most filmed person in the world. They most likely have film of him taking a leak.
Sometimes it must be like being zoo animal.

What do you call that dance, The Acid Shuffle. It does look like he is having a very good time, marching up to the peak.
