Great video and very helpful. Looking forward to your next video. I am starting my own journey into to the world of golf simulators and your videos are straight forward and educational. I appreciate the honesty. Thank you
Very cool. I feel like if you had a pipe at the bottom to both weigh down the screen as well as stretch it out, you might not actually need those side supports to prevent folds. I'm in the process of trying to find a good solution for an impact screen. I've been using my friends practice net temporarily but it ruins the projection image as well as requires a lot more room for the balls to slow down since the netting isn't tight.
Yes, i think this would work well. I also think if i had taken the time to iron the screen before installing, there would be way fewer creases. I projected onto an archery net first, but as you say, the image is not that clear.
Another great Video mate, I will be buying one of those screens soon in a 3mt x 4mt, from all the research I have done in regards to mounting impacts screens, it seems best to use Tarp clips and bungees, but do t tension too much, eyelets or hole are a very bad idea, as it put way to much stress in a very small area, apparently even great quality screens with eyelets that are tensioned to much will eventually tear out, I will definitely be buying a steamer to get the winkles out. , I will let you know how my build turns out.
Hi Tim, Thanks. i am glad the video was useful. Another few months have passed, and there has been no further deterioration in areas of tension failure. I think the tarp clips and bungee cords are the way to go, and i would definitely iron the screen before hanging it up. Good luck with the build, it would be great to see it when it's done
@@undercovergolfer8888 Great to hear that it has no got any worse, out of curiosity what is your driver club head speed?, Mine is 104mph fastest, but reliable accurate speed is 90-95mph. My build is also a budget build that I am making myself, I will be Starting a TH-cam channel soon, as I collect and restore golf club as a side hobby, so will be doing a few build videos of my Golf Simulator, thankyou again for some great ideas and well done on your build, it looks Awesome mate. Regards Tim
@Tim Poll Jonker my highest is 97 mph, but i am between 93 and 95. I have a couple of mates that are around 103-105, that have used my sim and the screen copes fine
I have this in a 14 ft and a carls place 10ft high end one and i get better picture quality out of my aikeec. But its a lot louder. Now i just put the carls place behind it
I love the honest appraisal of the screen image Gary and what the real expectations of it will now be. Great video mate

Thankyou, Its a BENQ short throw MW632ST
Hi Mate. What screen did you upgrade to after this?
Hey man have been looking into getting this exact screen. Wondering, does a stand/enclosure come with the screen?
No it is just the screen.
