I have used enchantment removal twice thus far on a seedborn muse thinking its an echantment creature dont know why

Made me kinda sad Muldrotha had to fight 3v1, seems a little unfair smh
@@amc6169 Muldrotha with the Mind Slicer play had pretty much denied everyone else from having options to play against her.
When you become the Archenemy, this is what happens, you either stay on top of the hill and win, or someone else does because they were still focusing on you.
Glad to see Roon on the channel. One of my favorite decks to play. I wish it wasn't a recording from so long ago as I would like to see how it plays with the new exile rule. My favorite card from Roon has to be Perplexing Chimera. If you have it out with Seedborn Muse it is just game over. Your opponents will have a very hard time resolving spells against you and it gets past Cavern of Souls because it doesn't counter the spell. I used it one time to take someones Surrak Commander and when they said it didn't work cause it can't be countered. I said "I know, Im not countering it. It's my spell." Im the evil one in my play group. 😈
I just noticed that Adam's life counter says Evil Adam I love the details on the video.

As somebody who owns a Muldrotha deck, she is definitely a kill-on-sight permanent. You guys did well keeping her in check.
This game is yet another example of tunnel vision, where people focus on one player so much that they ignore the other player until it's too late. Roon + Seedborn Muse is a nasty engine that's hard to deal with once it's online, way harder than Muldrotha's graveyard shenanigans.
I honestly think that the problem was more that two of the players were doing nothing. Roon basically dealt with Muldrotha alone

Slimefoot was my first commander so I always love watching gameplay of him :)
This was really weird to watch, because whenever I try to play Roon, he eats removal before he can blink anything.
I feel you i have a derevi blink deck like public enemy nr1.
This would've an interesting game, if the whole table hasn't teammed up to stop Evil Adam. By doing this, Kevin build up his board with no one else caring about it, and took the game.
MullyD always draws signifigant hate. Most people just assume that you are milling into... "something". Generally, Muldrotha decks are some of the slowest put there, as the commander itself is neither a combo piece nor a value engine (card draw/effect tjat alters the board state). If you've been bojuka bogged, Muldrotha is a vanilla 6/6 for 6, so the removal spells are brutal. I'm surprised that we saw 0 protection on Adam's part. No force, no guardianship, no playful, no greaves nor boots, not even ascetism. He didn't draw particularly well, or perhaps he simply assumed nobody would waste removal on a vanilla 6/6 for 6 in a game of edh
Honestly, siren storm tamer or even spellskite would have been incredible for adam, as he needed just one turn without Muldrotha being the exckusive target of every available removal spell in order to start playing his deck.
@@bodaciouschad this wasn't some budget brew. He has some spicy stuff in that graveyard. All Adam needed was one turn with his commander and mana and he would have gotten out of control. He had already mind slicered people's hands and he had a guilded drake. If he stole Rune to turn off Kevin's value engine, the 3v1 would have been a tough battle due to muldratha's card advantage vs 3 decks that were topdecking. I don't think anyone messed up threat assessment, it was a game of top decking after the mind slicer went off and Kevin got good draws.
And actually, Adam could have cast the guilded drake the turn he played the rhystic study (he discarded it at the end of that turn). That's a misplay with the woodfall primus and roon on the board. Adam should have focused on turning off Kevin's control rather than attempting to be greedy
No they made the right call. Muldrotha is a kill on sight.

You can't use exploration to let you play multiple lands from grave with muldrotha since she restricts it to 1 permanent per turn of each type
correct, you can play 1 from hand and 1 from graveyard per turn though.

Getting back into mtg and have been playing muldrotha the last couple weeks with friends. i have been trying to figure out a build but since i haven't played since ravnica, i dont know very many cards. any way you would be able to post evil adam's muldrotha deck? i really liked the way it looked and what it was doing.

Quick note, when you sacrifice world shaper to altar of dementia the death trigger goes off first since sacrificing is the payment. You wouldn't get any lands you mill with altar

World Shaper death trigger would happen before Altar mills. I think I saw a swamp sneak in with the mill before he put it into play

He is not feigning the stifle with Roon. You can counter the delayed trigger of the commander coming back in leaving it in exile.
Just wondering, but how are you choosing which games to turn into featuring episodes? I've seen/noted that quite a few can be a bit old. Love your content btw, I tend to watch atleast one before I sleep to wind down.

As a fellow Muldrotha player, I can attest that Adam's experience as archenemy is rather common for many Muldrotha players. Their opponents just see alot of cards and assume that something will happen, despite MullyD being a vanilla 6/6 for 6 if you bojuka bog them just once. I suggest that Adam include ascetism, siren stormtamer and fierce gaurdianship to avoid future issues with undue removal being thrown his way.

Fred could actually have wiped most of Kevin's board with Grave Pact, if he was willing to sacrifice all of his own creatures and responded to Kevin's triggers with more Viscera Seer activations (and stacked Deathbloom Thallid's trigger above Grave Pact). For instance, during Adam's turn 8, around 10:00, while Roon was tapped and Woodfall Primus hadn't returned yet. Fred could have sacrificed a creature, then four more in response to the Body Double/Protean Hulk trigger, leaving Kevin with only the Primus and whatever he tutored with the Hulk trigger. It would have left Fred in a bad position, but Kevin wouldn't have immediately buried them all with Roon value, and everyone would probably have gone back to ignoring Fred for a while.

Noo I'm looking for some solid Roon decklists. I have a pile of cards for bang flicker, just not sure what I want to add in
If you want to be really mean you can combine the flicker stuff with stax effects like Winter Orb, Static Orb, Tangle Wire, Smoke Stack, ect.
By flickering your stuff you can play arround the stax effects pretty well. But you will become the Archenemy of the table very quickly ;-)

When E-Adam first sacrificed the Worldshaper to the Altar of Dementia, the returning lands shouldn't include the freshly milled swamp, as the activated ability would resolve after the triggered one, no?

My Slimefoot always plays like this. Doing very little to effect the board. Such a fun commander but it just never fires and idk why.

I discuss it at the game review, but: Because I was worried that would shut off Kevin's deck. We needed him to help deal with Evil Adam, but by the time I wanted to cast the Orb, Adam had made us discard it.

Because sometimes that's just how EDH goes? Also, I'm working through my backlog of games. Some of them aren't edge-of-the-seat riveting like others.

The threat assessment here is awful. It seems like you always let one person go unscathed for the entire game. You should work on threat assessment. I knew immediately that roon was going to win once you countered muldrotha and let room hit the field. I was rooting for Muldrotha or room those those color pies are so strong.
Who thinks Casual Commander should be its own format? I'm fine with people playing competitive, but extremely competitive cards should be banned from Casual Games such as: Tabernacle APV, Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, Stacks and Armageddons.
That's why players should communicate beforehand.

Adam deserved everything he got for the early Mindslicer play. Making everyone discard their hand on turn 4 is just not good sportsmanship.
Roon is such a stupid annoying deck, this game highlights why I go after Roon players immediately everytime I am in a pod with one.
