Found an X-Bows keyboard on aliexpress that is the same frame as this, the metal smooth corner one you see in this video, but with a standard TKL layout and is hot swappable. It's just a kit so you have to get your own switches and caps.

Would absolutely get this board if I could have swapped keycaps. With a spring swap and lube the optical switches are end-game level smooth. They really missed the boat with the enthusiast market on this one imo.

Though, I have several questions.
The keycaps looks quite nonstandard and therefore quite hard to replace but the caps they have included looks quite alright but what printing methods do they use? Are they doubleshot?
Also how does the switches feels like compared to other optical switches and other linears?
Are they smoother or are they just the same thing with different weighting?
I don't know that much about the keycaps. You may better contact the company.
They are not that different from mechanical switches.
The keycaps are doubleshot ABS.
The switches are Gateron optical switches. The linear versions are quite smooth, as they are contactless switches (I.E. the stems don't rub against metal contacts when the switch is depressed).
The tactile and clicky Gateron optical switches are a disappointment however. They add fake contact leaves and the normal notched legs on the stems in order to generate their tactility. This reintroduces the inherent scratchiness of normal contact switches, so they have no advantage in key feel.
The clicky optical switches used by Razer and Bloody use a completely different method of generating the click in order to avoid this issue.

Lol the struggle is real. On a side note, I think the music is a bit loud at some points. Like when you were testing the stabs, I couldn't really hear them because the music covered half of the sound.
The real sound test is at the end without music, so I didn't change the music volume cuz it was not a sound test.
If you use the rubber feet on the main body, how does the numpad connects?
Does the numpad have a detachable rubber feet as well?

My right pinkie gets so angry using a traditional keyboard layout. And I can only touch type if I use my right index finger to push the space bar, which negates the super speed I would have otherwise. I need something more ergonomic. So I'm getting one of these babies. Hopefully, it doesn't make things worse instead of better for me. X3
Only gripe: the two columns for the index finger should have been closer.. ex: distance between F and T is a bit too much for me.

My prof use this key layout which seems much better for his wrist... I guess it is logitec membrane keyboard typos typos typos because the key layout is new to wildcat
