After not getting the view from Schiehallion on the first visit, I was tempted back to try and get redemption. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the views this time either. I was however, reminded of what a great descent it is, and I did notice the work that has been done on the trail since my last visit, which is extensive.

Have to say, having just ridden this this evening, it's an utterly brilliant descent and quite an easy push up too! I've spent the last 2 weeks up here, I lost my mojo a bit after a crash on day 2, and just not having ridden Scottish style trails for ages - riding Schiehallion tonight was exactly what I needed! I walked a couple of sections but then it was just me and one other on the mountain, rode most of it and even for a southern softy who doesn't get to ride these sort of trails very often, this is 100% ridable - I'll be back at some point to ride it all! Something like Ben Vrackie is well beyond my pay grade (hiking the last section after the loch I was thinking there were maybe a couple of 20m sections I would/could ride, otherwise... Nah!
The volunteers were upgrading the path when we did our walk a few years ago (was going to type a couple of years then realised nothing was a couple of years ago). Looks great. Superb video as always.
A huge amount of work has been done 💪 Last time I was there, there were loads of bags of abrogate ready to use on the side of the trail.

Great riding Andrew I conquered a fear of downhill riding yesterday at 57 it's about time no rocks for me mate I rode down an Escarpment at Garston on the Isle of Wight so scary but I did it! I'm still buzzing!!🤘😎🤘

WOW Andrew...drone shots are great , and holy smokes , the terrain ? You should definitely be the test person for any suspension and drive train...and for me , it would be the nearest loo . The pounding you take , damn !

I did this in 2011 but i can't remember it being like that. Good effort! You should try the Cam Bhealach, it's pretty decent. Two munros to be had, Sron a' Choire Ghairb and Meall na Teanga, over by Loch Lochy just north of Spean Bridge. It can be partly ridden up to the bealach. You will need good trials skills from the top of either munro back down to the top of the bealach though! It's pretty hairy😜. The Rest of the way down the Cam is ace.

@@McTrailRider No bother! If you look at the map there is a loop. Don't be tempted to do the loop, it's the loop from hell. Just do the up and back from Kilfinnan. Disclaimer: i haven't done it since 2012 so it may have changed since then. 🤣

The pump is great, mainly deviate you can store a multi tool and/or co2 etc inside it. The head also unscrews to fit onto the Co2 cartridge.
Yes nice ride and video again Andrew thanks....how much of it would you say is rideable on the climb on the ebike...I'd luv yo have a go at it in October 🤞
Wouldn’t be much fun going up on the ebike tbh, wouldn’t recommend it.

Good day Question is your gearbox mtb days over or is devaite making a beter or new one gearbox mtb that is???
I believe Deviate has ditched the gearbox for good with the current gearbox technology. If things move on in the future, I’m sure they’ll re evaluate the situation.
