That is an extremely intricate saber I just finished my custom build I CNC machined the hilt from steel it is super durable but now I feel as if I didn’t do enough with the electronics I’m going to throw a raspberry pi in the hilt.
Hello Rob! I love this saber. I'm doing some metal inlay for a cane I'm making (for myself). Can you tell me how you managed that rich coppery red color?
I'm very curious as to how you fit a 7.4V li-ion pack in there. I'm having space issues with my saber build because I have a crystal chassis in the mid section and there is simply no room for anything larger than the tiny 14500 side-by-side pack.
"A lightsaber a more civilised weapon for a more civilised age " Obi wan kinobi Wow what a work of art.I have designed my own lightsaber do you commision build ?
Thanks for your interest in my work. I’m no longer taking submissions for GCS Elite custom sabers, some info on that decision is here: genesiscustomsabers.com/?page_id=28598 I aim to design and build at least one elite saber each year for auction. You can sign up here to be notified when such a saber is released. genesiscustomsabers.com/?page_id=28598 You can of course get on the custom work list for modifications to one of my Production Series sabers (Ascend, Badaxx, Vector, Creed). The system for custom work is described here. The list is now extending into 2021. genesiscustomsabers.com/?page_id=23719
BEAUTIFUL!!....... Q?: why is there always a kill switch? ho about an on-off switch? (newbie here, i might loose it). how about a saber for dueling, thicker casing??.. thank you for sharing this vid, more power!
Hi, Thanks for your interest in my work. Here's some info on my custom commissions. genesiscustomsabers.com/?page_id=15583 I will be open to new submissions for projects over $2000 July 1-5, 2018. Email me from the website if you have any questions. Cheers, Rob
+Rob Petkau damn some people have money haha. If I had that kind of money I would spend it in a heart beat for one of these awsome looking lightsaber's. they look so good and you have a great talent!
Okay gotcha, thanks for the quick return! Hey, if you would, so I was going to go the TCSS direction, but for the amount of shroud work I want to do, it's just as easy for me to buy telescoping aluminum pipes. How would I go about putting a pommel/blade holder on that? Or make one? I will probably still buy all the chassis stuff from them though Thanks!
That hilt belongs in a museum.
So do you!
@@gitchellgitchell9505 thats a compliment

I just jizzed! I can't believe the amount of detail that went into that. Awesome
Simply gorgeous.
Incredible work.
Im designing my own saber and plan on building it but had no idea of the placement of electronic guts plus crystal. Now, I do.
That's really awesome
I reeeeeeeeally love how slim the hilt is. Thick hilts aren't very comfortable for me
beautiful !
amazing
I really like your work! Is there an email to contact for possible commissions?
Thanks,
I'm not accepting commissions for this type of saber at this time. But you can contact me through genesiscustomsabers.com

Thanks. That is powdercoated. I do not recall the colour.
@@MadcowGenesis Thank you! I will take that guidepost and sally forth.
if only i could buy this hilt. that would be so great
How did you make the saber, did you use any saber shop parts?
I'm very curious as to how you fit a 7.4V li-ion pack in there. I'm having space issues with my saber build because I have a crystal chassis in the mid section and there is simply no room for anything larger than the tiny 14500 side-by-side pack.
+NanoRex I built my own battery pack for this one. It's in two parts with the cells joined by wires that run though the crystal chassis
Yeh it's Beautiful Rob🖒🖒🖒
how much is it to buy one of these?

Do you machine these parts on your own ?
+As0x For these types of sabers I use MHS parts from TCSS and then machine them and modify them
Rob Petkau Ok thank you for the quick reply ! :)
BEAUTIFUL!!....... Q?: why is there always a kill switch? ho about an on-off switch? (newbie here, i might loose it). how about a saber for dueling, thicker casing??.. thank you for sharing this vid, more power!
Kill switch is just a convenient dual purpose for the recharge port. My Corran Horn design used a slide switch.
How did you secure the brass tube used in the crystal chamber so they don't rattle? Im working on my own chamber right now.
+Jake Santucci I machine disks on either end of the chassis for the tubes to fit tightly into
How much would it cost for you to build a saber and how would I go about contacting you to build one ???
Hi,

+chaos controller It's called the "LCF"; the "Look Cool Factor"
Cool thanks for replying so fast
what do you use to make your internal chassis's for sounds boards and other electronics?
is one for sale
how much would one similar but not exactly like that cost?
Close to $3000
+Rob Petkau damn some people have money haha. If I had that kind of money I would spend it in a heart beat for one of these awsome looking lightsaber's. they look so good and you have a great talent!
What are you using to create your intricate shrouds? Sink tubes? Aluminum tubes? etc.
Thanks!
+Joel Davis Hi,
I machine those from various aluminum tube sizes

what brand of wires do you use? or at least what guage? itd be very helpful if you replied thankyou.
+ares kensei I use 28g stranded wire
+Rob Petkau thankyou very much.
Holy mary mother of god!

How do you make crystal chambers?
Thanks for your interest. Each one is different and would take a book to explain.
i would read it xD
Is the crystal just for design, or does it have some effect on the light?
It's what I call the "LCF", the Look Cool Factor
these are better the what's in the movie
+Rob Petkau Hi, could somebody tell me if you can fit a V3 MHS Heatsink into a MHS choke style 1 short??? (With a MHSV1 Blade Holder Style 12)
+Jonathan Walters Yes - but If you are concerned, just order the flat heatsink with it.
OK, thanks
How much would it cost me to commission a custom lightsaber from you? I'm willing to pay $100 to $200.
+SonicGamer Unfortunately all my custom commissions are over $1500
genesiscustomsabers.com/?page_id=15583
Rob Petkau Alright. Thanks for replying so quickly.
+SonicGamer 200$?!?! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Owen Robinson IS that supposed ti be an insult? Because it failed.
+SonicGamer No, I'm just pointing out how ridiculous your assumed price was.
That is a sexy saber
