    I’m watching this now after LVE just retired due to all his injuries. Good player even though he was a cowboy. Grade could be changed because they aren’t getting the extra seasons out of him but regardless he did have a short but good career.

      Players that need a system built around them are intimidating to a lot of teams. Because John Harbaugh was a former Special Teams Coordinator, he really isn't tied to any specific offensive scheme so he can be much more dynamic with he player selections. I think it's a shining example of why so many coaches, though great, don't last. If you need a certain type of player to make your system work, you're effed if you don't have them. If your Harbaugh, you just get the players, THEN the coaches.

    The highest EPA play in the NFl since 2020 is a handoff to Rashaad Penny. He averages more YPC than anyone else since the NFL merger with more than 200 career carries. Dude was a stud, would have been a superstar if he didnt keep getting hurt. You want a bad seattle pick that in 2019 with Collier, not penny. He was electric when he was healthy . Yes there was a reason they drafted Walker- Carson retired.

    I would have given those F’s with short bursts of “not bust” a D+ and Ragnow an A (time missed, not production as high as other A+’s like Lamar Jackson and Justin Jefferson), but overall solid grades!

    • @Basch152
      @Basch152 ปีที่แล้ว

      allowing a single sack in the last 2200 pass blocks is absolutely an A+ for a center drafted towards the end of the 1st, and he's only missed most of 1 season, lamar Jackson has actually missed more, so that argument doesn't even make sense
      truth is, if ragnow played for any other team he'd likely have 3 or 4 all pros and people would be talking about how likely it would be he'd be a hall of famer, he's been that dominant. the lions just sucked that entire time so people don't really care

    I like your grade for Sony Michel, everyone brings up how the pats should have taken either nick Chubb or Lamar Jackson. Here’s the thing- if we took Chubb, belichick would have absolutely not re-signed him to a second contract. If the patriots took him, even though he is a far better player, there’s no guarantee that he would have been able to do what Michel did in that playoff run, so I wouldn’t change the past for that reason. Same goes to Jackson, the pats would have their qb right now, but he would have had to spend multiple years on the bench behind Brady, and the contract situation wouldn’t be far off from what it is now, considering how Tom Brady infamously took lower contracts to keep the team together. There’s no guarantee we’d be able to get 5+ years from either of those players, and considering the pats won a Super Bowl in that time frame (the roster itself was only a real contender in 2018-2019), I wouldn’t change that pick in retrospect

    Like I said about the 2019 draft, as a Pitt fan this was another one of Kevin Colbert’s weaker drafts. As the only player that is still a starter on the team is Chukwuma Okorafor at RT and he isn’t an elite RT. The other players James Washington left for cowboys but got cut before even taking a snap in 2022, Mason Rudolph doesn’t want to backup Kenny Pickett or Mitch Trubisky anymore in Pitt and worst of all the disappointment of Terrell Edmunds in the 1st round after RYAN SHAZIER WALKED to announce his draft selection. Edmunds was a great duo with Minkah and is starting caliber, but obviously never lived up to the 1st round selection. I think Kevin Colbert was one of the best GMs of the 21st century, but both the 2019 and 2018 draft were signs that he should probably retire. At least the 2019 draft he got us Diontae Johnson. But yet again the only thing we got from the 2018 draft is Chuks.
    EDIT: all Pitt fans loved how a available he was as he barely missed a game and was probably the most healthy player on the team. However when your a 1st round pick, announced as a Steeler by Ryan Shazier and joining the Steelers, that had Troy Polamalu go to the HOF, high expectations are for the player.

I still do not think that he's the best thrower of the football but he's still got a crazy good record as a starter with Baltimore... I'm a Cardinals fan and I never thought I'd say this but I seriously think that I'd take him over Kyler Murray in a heartbeat💓 as of right now... I'm sure about 85%-95% of you would also agree

    You can't really give Derwin an A+ after 5 years. Regardless of his skill/production before and after his injuries, he was still injured for nearly 2 full seasons. That's almost 40% of his career so far where a first round pick was doing nothing for his team.
    Now in another 5 years if Derwin stays healthy, then yeah, give him in A+ since those 2nd and 3rd years were clearly a fluke. If he gets more injuries though and maintains an availability of a little of 60% of games, as good a player he is, you can't justify any higher than a B.

  • @adonijahmorningstar493
    @adonijahmorningstar493 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't feel like * (29) #90TavenBryan* is a bust, I feel he is a victim on the *"3-4"* defensive scheme that is designed for the Inside and Outside linebackers to get as many sacks, *#90TavenBryan* in the *"3-4"* defensive scheme, is to protect against the run, so you wouldn't judge his performance on how many sacks, he got, but how many tackles, tackles for lost and fumble recoveries and pass deflections he made.
    It's very rare that a *"3-4"* defensive end get double digits sacks per year, but not impossible.
    Total tackles: *104*
    Sacks: *8.5*
    Forced fumbles: *1*
    Pass deflections: *2*
    #90TavenBryan should do better in a *"4-3"* defensive scheme, which the Browns used in *2022,* and his new team, the Colts will be using in *2023* season.

As a Seahawk fan, I wouldn't rate what we got as higher than a D grade, as he was no more than an occasional starter after backing up a 7th rounder in Chris Carson, and I won't argue with the value of the pick being assessed as an F.

      It’s actually the opposite. You need a complete team to make a Super Bowl period. No matter how good you are you can win in the regular season it’s 32 teams. In the playoffs it’s 14 teams, outta those maybe 4 are squeaking in. The other 10 are solid complete teams. And 1 person isn’t winning a game in the playoffs by himself.

    Lamar Jackson is a fair D grade every single time:
    A quitter, selfish, injury prone, salary cap issue, greedy beyond any help, an average NFL passer on per play basis efficiency for long term starting QBs. His MVP season was a outlier (otherwise this "QB" was a clear cut F grade), thus helping his career stats for now, but not much longer. Additionally, he cant hit targets further than 10 yards down the field. Once he gets a step slower, this guy will completely fall off.

    Cant, simply cant give a F grade to a RB with the best ever career YPC. You calculate injuries into the grade? Ok, good. But still no F... but, but, but Lamar Jackson by this rule is an F-.
