Bachinsky kickflip is still the gnarliest thing in my opinion. That was like 15 years ago too. So insane. I was in high school at the time and w my friends and I opened a magazine to see the sequence of the kickflip. It blew all of our minds.

Any true skater knows Switch Ollie is far more impressive than Switch 180... The fact you have fly down that thing parallel the whole time on your abnormal side, and then also landing switch... that's so much more difficult than popping to face forwards and then landing regular.
The back tail is very impressive but flipping your board down a gap that size is much more difficult. The kickflip is number 1 in my opinion plus it was like over 15 years ago. To catch a flip trick down that big of a gap is more impressive than the back tail. Imo. Only other number 1 would be nuge for being the first to ollie it, also first try.

I don’t think most people even realize the amount of stuff that’s gone down there. Whenever I see most people comment on tricks they usually always talk about 5 or so tricks on the rail & the same amount of tricks down the stairs. That rail has been annihilated. Nollie back 50-50, noseblunt, back smith, front smith, nosegrind, 5-0, back 5-0, back salad, front feeble, back crook, pretty sure noseslide, back feeble & im sure I’m forgetting a few in addition to more I still haven’t seen. The one trick down the set that I think deserves more recognition is the back 180. Dude took a beating before he finally got it too
Honestly I think the back tail is the most impressive thing here (granted everything in this video is insane). There is no bailing from that trick at all, you're zooming down the rail with the back of your body turned to it, if you slip out after locking in, you're falling straight on the rail. Can't believe anyone has the balls to commit to something like that.

Back tail should be #1. If you miss the lock in, you're falling backwards down the whole stair set, and if one of your feet catches on the rail you can flip onto your head.
I personally think that Derek Tracy‘s early grab down this was also pretty gnarly, just sending it full speed and hanging on for his life with that landing
all these tricks are insane. but. the tricks that went down on the middle rail (before they took it out) was so much gnarlier. no safety grass or dirt to bail on....

I get it, I'm old at 40, but was low-key hoping to see the Arto Saari front board on here. At the time that was some next level shit and you see his legs shift/buckle a little to rebalance that tells you how long that shit was. That back tail is a completely different level. Throwing yourself down that many stairs backside gets all the props in the world.
Arto definitely set the bar and was a pioneer but with all of the legendary tricks that have gone down since then that I couldn't disregard. Arto will always be a legend for that though
