    I don’t think most people even realize the amount of stuff that’s gone down there. Whenever I see most people comment on tricks they usually always talk about 5 or so tricks on the rail & the same amount of tricks down the stairs. That rail has been annihilated. Nollie back 50-50, noseblunt, back smith, front smith, nosegrind, 5-0, back 5-0, back salad, front feeble, back crook, pretty sure noseslide, back feeble & im sure I’m forgetting a few in addition to more I still haven’t seen. Dielit. Chris I see a major difference between landing, rolling away, and then choosing to jump off your board before hitting a wall or some grass compared to landing in an uncontrolled power slide with your arms flailing above your head and being thrown off your board because you’re not in control

    Back tail should be #1. If you miss the lock in, you're falling backwards down the whole stair set, and if one of your feet catches on the rail you can flip onto your head.

    Bachinsky's kickflip is #1 for me. If you were old enough to see it happen at the time, you know it was one of those moments that changed street skating overnight.
    Koston's part in "Yeah Right," and PJ Ladd's part in "Wonderful, Horrible Life" are examples of full video parts that had a similar effect on street skating... But Bachinsky's kickflip down El Toro was a SINGLE trick. That single trick made people step up their game and start chucking themselves down huge sets and gaps

    I get it, I'm old at 40, but was low-key hoping to see the Arto Saari front board on here. At the time that was some next level shit and you see his legs shift/buckle a little to rebalance that tells you how long that shit was.
    That back tail is a completely different level. Throwing yourself down that many stairs backside gets all the props in the world.

    The set has like a couple 180's variations, ollies fakie and switch + a kickflip..... not many can skate the set. Jamie foy 50-50's and krooks first try. The rail is hype but the set is the gold.

    • @LimitlessCulture
      @LimitlessCulture  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the grind are more impressive because of the consequences. If you have ever skated a hand rail, there is a ton of shit that can go on. If you are skating a huge rail like that and its super steep its about just as fucked as skating the set.
