Man.. at the mention of Simgot, the combo of dynamic and planar drivers (+piezo) you got my interest piqued. Diana Krall, warm and sweet sounding vocal.. Sold! Thanks Andy, appreciate your reviews and your excellent salesmanship 😂
Awesome review, Andy! I purchased the HBB version of the EW300, but it looks like it will be another week or 2 before I receive it. I could've gotten the standard version in just a couple of days, but I wanted the collaboration version to start with. I plan on getting the DSP version if the HBB version knocks my socks off 😆
I’ve been thinking about getting this one. I have so many decent dac/amps like the Q15 and the Gryphon the standard edition is the one I’m leaning towards. Great review Andy. Thank you 🙏
Thanks man, this one was shot 100% on 10Bit 4.2.2 resolution so it does look better, and the shots were meticulously done (I scrapped the lousy angle shots, lol)
I changed the supplied tips of the ew300 dsp to some AZLA SednaEarfit Crystal Standard. A big improvement in every way to the: width, detail, and excitement
Simgot is one of my favorite brands today. Excellent products with excellent prices. Maybe we get a EA600 this year? 🤔 Counting on this! Great review as usual Andy! Have a wonderful week ✌🏽
Hi Andy 😊 In the $30 range. I'm looking to buy Kinera Celest Wyvern Abyss It really looks attractive. I hope you can experience and review it. Thanks you 😊
Thanks 👍👍 How do you think it compares to the EA500s and EML6? Especially in the layering department. Edit: I've never tried an Iem with a piezo driver. Is it very noticeable? Bothersome to treble sensitive people?
As noted in this review, EW300 actually now playing on same level to the likes of EA500 and even EM6L. And of course you can tune the nozzle if you prefer not to have too much treble by using the 2nd one provided and further tame it down with foam inserts which is also provided. Peizo and Planar combo gives EW300 great capabilities with layering and separation, that's for sure
Hi Andy, thank you for the DSP mic test. I believe you're the only one, who currently has this covered in youtube. If you don't mind, do you know if the sound quality of the silver/standard ew300 will change using the 3.5mm apple dongle/adapter? I was asking, because my phone still uses the apple lightning connection. 😅 I am thinking of just getting the DSP version and sacrifice phone compatibility if the sound quality of the silver ew300 will be reduced after pairing it with the apple dongle. Also, do you think Sennheiser IE200 will be a better choice as my first and only IEM than the EW300 for casual music listening and watching movies? Thank you!
Thanks!. Using the EW300 DSP is superior to using EW300 with an Apple dongle. So, if you want simplicity go for EW300DSP all the way. I never tried IE200 so I have no idea on that one
@@donglemadness Thanks, Andy. I also remember that my extra 3.5mm earphones, which is included from my old android phone, when used with apple lightning adaptor on iphone sounds a lot quieter compared to using it without dongle on pc/laptop. Thanks again Andy, and have a nice day! :)
Andy, I was curious to know if I bought the dsp vertion and buy a iem cable let's say 4.4 mm balanced one is sound signature will be the same as dsp ... i mean is default tuning of both the iem (analog & dsp) same when using analog cable? ...
Part of the sound of DSP version is the dongle itself, so if you use a different cable with normal plugs, the output will then be influenced on how different they are from the integrated EW300 dongle sound wise
Yes, especially if you use the 2nd nozzle and if you need even more dampening, use the foam insert into the nozzles to tame even more Treble (the foams included in the box)
Thanks!. no worries about that. EW300 comes with another nozzle which seem to dampen the high frequency and you can even dampen it even more if you want to by inserting the foam included with the set. Great for treble sensitive people
The DSP version does have a headroom limit especially if you are the type who listen to loud volume, in this case it would be better to get the normal version and then you can attach it to more powerful sources. But I personally never find the DSP being soft or weak, it offers ample and comfortable loudness. Cleaner and clearer? both are already clean and clear, just that the normal version can perform even better once you connect it to high performing sources like what I use here, which are iBasso DX260 or the dongles of ONIX Alpha Xi or iBasso DC07Pro
Hey, Andy, what sound difference do you think the two different nozzle that came with the simgot ew300 provided? Also are there really no sound difference between the dps version and the standard version beside the mic and c type compatibility?
As noted in this review, the DSP version will always sound consistent no matter where you plug it. However, the normal 3.5mm version can offer different flavors based on where you connect it to, so potentially it can sound even better if you connect it to high quality sources and in my case I use iBasso DX260, DC07Pro, ONIX Alpha XI and VE ODO, all of which provide improved sound output versus the stock EW300 integrated dongle

Hi Andy. I'm really confused between the EW300 DSP and Artti T10 + basic dongle dac like jcally jm6 pro. I can avail both for same price. You have ranked the T10s much above the EW300 in your rankings. I'm looking for a one and done set to use with my PC for music (all genres), gaming & movies. Which one would you recommend and why? Would really appreciate your response.
@@donglemadness Thank you very much! Just a small confirmation. One(and only) negative I've heard of the T10s is their imaging. Would that be a problem as I play a lot of fps games?

If I have 500 Lm is it worth to buy the Ew300?
EW300 is designed to supersede EW200, not EA500LM, because as noted in this video, EA500LM and EW300 is competing on equal footing one to one, with so small differences that to me it does not make sense to get another variant of EA500LM level of quality. But it makes perfect sense if you are moving from EW200
