Considering how much shit he's been through, I can't really blame him for getting angry once in a while. Dementors, Fudge's incompetence, Umbridge ruining Hogwarts, Voldemort and other dark/evil wizards rising to power, etc.
One of those dark wizards was his toxic ex-boyfriend too, who broke his heart (and possibly stopped Ariana’s) to such an extent that he swore he’d never love again and instead fully dedicated his life to education and fighting evil wizards

Why was Dumbledore so angry in the Goblet of Fire film? Did the director made him like this? Or was Michael Gambon angry during filming? 🤣 I still love Michael’s Dumbledore either way.
I think it was the director. He never read the book himself, so he had no respect for the source-material, cutting out practically half of the book. He gave many scenes a worse change from the book for no reason. I think it was him.
I always preferred Richard Harris' version of Dumbledore over Gambon's. On top of being closer to how Dumbledore was in the books (calm and reserved) he also got a lot more moments of quiet and meaningful dialogue than Gambon did, for example his conversation with Harry at the end of the first film about love being a powerful form of magic.
It really showed how Mike Newell really doesn’t understand these characters. All of Dumbledore’s lines in Goblet of Fire are him yelling, shouting, and sounding pissed off
