I've been anxiously awaiting your next installment on the Mustang, and once again, you did not disappoint. Incredible work as usual !!! Watching your videos gives me great insight on scratch building techniques that will help me with my building. Many thanks for sharing and definitely looking forward to to the next installment and future projects.

This work has been more difficult than usual.
Although omitted in the video, putty was heaped and scraped many times until the ideal form was achieved.
The people who make this in real life deserve our respect.

Can you imagine all the work you have done by hand can now be done by a 3D printer ! I still say doing it all by hand shows what a person can do with real skill not a machine. Fantastic look so far. Can't wait to see it finished !

      Thank you very much!
I have always loved detail work since I was a kid.
If I could, I would make everything by hand.
I will complete it at this rate. I hope you will see it through to the end.

      I'm glad to hear that.
I'll work as fast as I can.
But there is a little more tricky processing to do, so I hope you'll be patient with me.

Fantastic work. One of the ways I stopped laminated parts from warping (like your side sills) is use super glue instead of liquid cement. Sand the contact surfaces to be glued then flood the surface with super glue. When it dries the parts will be stable and not warp.

Amazing customization. Your skills are only surpassed by your imagination to create such a model.

This GT500 aims to be a middle ground between a touring car racing car and an ordinary custom car.
I don't know where the car is meant to drive, but I want it to be unique.

No! There's just too much work in this modification .I could never ever do anything like this, he just keeps on going and going step after step after step! The end result is so perfect you'd think Tamiya did the molds for this!

As you say, it was a struggle.
But I believe that we have crossed the mountainous terrain.
From now on I should be able to show you some unusual work.

What program do you use to make the drawings?
Are you taking actual measurements from a 1:1 or visualization of what you want?
    Just amazing scratch building skills.

    • @12percent_on_the_desk
      @12percent_on_the_desk  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your comment.
We use Adobe Illustrator to produce the drawings.
Tires, wheels, and other items that are known to be the actual size are reduced to 1/12th and made in plastic model size.
If I don't know the size of the item, I make it by intuition.
Often, even if I do a good calculation and make a 1/12 drawing, it will not fit the plastic model.
This is because the plastic model is slightly deformed.
We try not to be too particular about the size of the real thing.

Los semicírculos de los guardabarros son láminas de plástico de 1 mm.
El auxiliar de la misma es de 0,5 mm.
A partir de ahora, también se mencionará el material utilizado.

Mainly epoxy-based. We use some that are hard once cured and some that are slightly softer.
