Shelby put into the GT40 the V8 427 used on his big Cobras, that were used later on his big Mutangs too!

basically that upper shape of door added little headroom without adding height or weight, maintaining the 40 inches goal!

5 years back i did a ton of body mods to my 1/12th scale GT500 here in 20w3 its still a project you might find it on my old you tube videos under my name
