I WAS WRONG In Thinking That Trimming An OVERGROWN Beech Hedge Would Only Take TWO HOURS

- The owner of this yard asked me to trim his sprawling beech hedge and a couple of coniferous hedges. When she asked me how long it would take me to do the job?
I confidently said we could do it in 2 hours, since I planned to still have time for another client, but the job took over 4 hours. After we finished the job, I realized that I was done for the day and there was no need to rush, then I decided to give the owners of this yard a little surprise by removing the weeds from the sidewalks, cutting the overgrown ivy from the gravel and mowing the edges of the lawn a bit. But this time I really wish I had a high-pressure washer to give all the paths a good scrubbing, because they really need it! - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

Er sagte, er möchte lieber 10.000 qm Rasen mit einem Handmäher mähen, als Hecken schneiden zu müssen, weil das so schwer sei und auf den Rücken gehe. Eine Dame aus Australien antwortete: da schaue ich immer einen aus Deutschland an, Kustorez heißt der, bei dem sieht das immer so federleicht aus! Recht hat sie, aber Knüppelarbeit ist es trotzdem, wie man ja gerade in dem Video verfolgen kann. Super Arbeit mal wieder! Lieben Gruß! 🇩🇪

Here at the NC Coast, USA. It is suggested to trim Beech Hedges 2-3 times a year. In researching, said it is well worth the time spent. I certainly see why!

The amount of time and effort you put into FILMING these projects is astounding. So many wonderful camera angles, distances, up close shots, time lapses, etc.. It's like watching a mini movie! Jumping back and forth between you and the guy helping you while keeping the audio seamless is an achievement in and of itself. GREAT editing. Never a tripod shadow in sight.
Using the weed eater/whipper snipper to clean up the edges REALLY made this corner property look fantastic. The work you guys do is always so exact. I can tell you trust each other to make things perfect. Excellent team work! Another huge job conquered.

There was a lot more than hedge trimming. There was also cutting the grass, edging, setting up cameras, silencing your enemy the electric mower, playing with the dog, using a blower for air cooling, etc. A lot of work 😀

As am American, I am always amazed at how beautiful the hedges are on each of these properties. Significant Turf, substantial trees and perennial flowers or herbaceous borders are almost always missing in German gardens from what I can detect from your videos. It is an interesting difference in thinking. I watch for the hedges! Beautiful.

One of the people on an other channel uses a broom like attachment to clean sidewalks. It is round and seems to do a good job of sweeping. I love the scenery around there. The houses are beautiful as are the hedges. It is something I don't see here. As usual you have done a wonderful job. Everything looks so clean and crisp. I think the clean up would be my least favorite part of the job! (new glasses?)
I have seen the broom attachment you are talking about but only in american videos and I know that the brand name of the equipment they use is not Stihl.
насколько я знаю, насадки для триммеров универсальны. то есть к вашему любимому штиль подойдет насадка другого производителя. и вам действительно было бы легче убирать сорняки с брусчатки не триммером и леской, а круглой насадкой для уборки дорожек. она мягче, чистит мох и сорняки очень хорошо, и не цепляет лишнее.

As someone who always struggles for perfection in everything I do, I have to tell myself "Perfection is nice, but done is better." But I have to say, I really admire the perfection of those hedges. Hey mate, I'm from Australia & been a horticulturalist for 18 years, front line kinda work.
I noticed your bump feed snipper, if I can give a little advice, try to keep the cord long while you're doing paved & concreted areas & raise the bump off the ground a touch, will limit the damage it takes as they already cop a beating.
Regarding hedging. Take little increments off at a time as may notice it bounce up and give a nice look without unnecessarily taking too much off, better taking a small amount than a large amount to start with & if you need to go again you can, also it's easier on how much you pick up.
I know our climates are totally different however gardening can be dignified internationally.

I have no idea what country you live in, but all of these tall hedges, bushes, etc., must be the popular way to landscape. Too much stuff. Privacy must be a huge issue. Takes away from the beauty of the homes. You do a superb job on the hedges and everything you touch. Keep up the good work. Enjoy the videos immensely.
