I like the idea of covering the console hole like that. So, you don’t glue the top or bottom of the console hole, so that water can flush through if it gets in? Also, is pvc fabric what you generally recommend as a fabric to cover the console hole, or should I purchase a different fabric? Thank you
PVC fabric is very tough and it is not easily rip or puncture and it is for using on or underwater, like inflatable boat. I used this for one season and it is prove to be very good for covering the console hole underneath of the Jonny Bass 100. I can’t think of any material that can use underwater. thank you for watching Videos.
@@wuspeedkayak4614 thank you for the reply. I’ve been looking into buying an industrial or fishing pvc apron, then cutting that to suit the console hole and then gluing it with the JB Weld. Your solution is simple yet effective (and I hope it is for me too). Thank you
Hi. When you stick the pvc fabric to the Jonny Boat, do you put the glue onto the pvc and then stick it to the Jonny Boat? Or do you put the glue on the Jonny Boat and then put separate glue on the pvc fabric, and then stick the fabric to the Jonny boat. I have no idea about DIY but want to do the same thing to my Jonny Boat. I purchased the JB Weld and pvc fabric but I don’t want to mess it up so I just wanted to ask how you glue it on. Thank you
Hi thanks for asking. You need to spread the glue on both PVC fabric and on the boat. About 2” from the edge of fabric perimeter. And use blue tape on the boat so that it will not get messy on the outer perimeter. Generally press not too hard just like you do kitchen tile. Go back watch my video again it might helped you. Thank you.
It will take a couple of days before the glue getting very hard. After you stick the fabric to the boat and you like the way it look, you need to remove all the blue tape right the way. In the next 24 hours you will see some area you might need to add some more glue you should do so. I hope this might help you.
Oh, I forgot, make sure you attach your console to the boat first and flip it over so you can have the fabric lay on the top of it naturally. Don’t glue the console. Lo!
Great Video Pu!!!
