How to Build Your Fusion 360 Tool Library - CNC Milling Basics (2022)

In this video I walk you the process of creating a CNC tool library in the Fusion 360. I show you how to define the tool geometry and create material profiles with unique feeds and speeds.
We walk through how to create a tool from scratch, how to modify existing tools, and how to import tools from a vendor's published library.

Just a note for the people who can't find Cloud in their tool library: you can go into User Preferences by clicking the user icon in the top right corner and then finding the toggle for 'Enable Cloud Library' and checking the box.

Hey Kostas, Glad to hear it was helpful :). If you don’t have the cloud option you can still create a local tool library using the same process. If you want to move it to a new computer or create a back up Fusion should give you to option to export your tool library

Sometimes Autodesk cloud servers just don't work properly. Sometimes you get slow/impossible login, sometimes it is missing some of the cloud features, sometimes you are not even able to save your design... Fusion relies more and more on the cloud and that's really not the right direction to go IMHO, but who we are to judge. So you take all the wonders in this amazing tool with their drawbacks.

You have to go into your User Preferences (click your user icon in the top right corner and you'll se it) then in the Manufacture tab of the User Preferences you'll see 'Enable Cloud Libraries.' You have to toggle that option on. Do that and try again and see if the Cloud is in your Tool Libraries area. If it is, Right-click Cloud and you can select Import Library, then pick the file to import, or make a new one like he does in the video.
