@thecumminscamper I had to turn you off...Pinwheels / that we made... That heart attack burger looked so good with the egg and cheese😋🤣. Then you cooked dinner...I said I'm done for today🤣😂🤣
Beautiful area! I'd love to visit someday. The parks really do make it difficult with filming restrictions but I appreciate that you had plenty of pictures to still take us along on the journey. Safe travels forward!
Utahs an amazing place to visit. Fly into SLC and then fly out of Vegas and you could see so much! The mountains around SLC are so spectacular (this weeks videos got some banger drone shots) and then you can get all the canyon stuff as you travel south. It’s so cool how different the landscape is depending on where you’re at in the state. Glad you enjoyed the video 🤘
Thanks so much Ben! Appreciate you taking the time to be apart of our journey. Just spent the day filming the first half of next weekends video. See ya again hopefully Saturday morning 👍
Eric, The National parks have recently clarified the rules surrounding video and photography. The current policy pertains to ultra professional crews with Lights booms crews and multi-vehicle set ups. Monetized TH-cam creators are exempt as long as the cameras are hand held. Drone use is prohibited in Arches and most National Parks are you guys heading to AZ? there is some great BLM spots on The Mogollon Rim above payson perfect for your rig. Lots of forest roads and amazing views.
Jimmy thanks for the clarification! That’s great to know for future videos! Glad to hear the park system is being reasonable and rational regarding YT folks. It’s really no different than people taking videos with their phones. Greatly appreciate the clarification
Great video Eric! We love the workaround that you figured out for the national parks filming ban very creative. F the national parks. That breakfast sandwich was legit.
Thanks y’all! I learned the work around isn’t necessary anymore for TH-cam channels which is nice for the future. Can’t wait to see y’all’s video tomorrow!!!!!
@@thecumminscamper glad to hear the parks changed that rule, but it still doesn’t change the fact that they are overcrowded to the point that you have to make a reservation to enter and enjoy nature🤯
Thanks for watching Janel! It was super beautiful. Easter weekend is apparently the start of tourism season in Moab. Glad you enjoyed it. See ya next weekend
That’s what I’m learning! We googled it and asked ChatGPT and both said you need to get a permit for any filming for a monetized TH-cam channel as it’s considered commercial because you derive money from that video. Now that seems to have changed?
We refuse to go in National Parks anymore unless we are going with friends or family who haven't seen them before. Have seen them all anyway. Most of the best hiking, biking and camping, with solitude, is in those largely unknown places outside the parks. We've ruined the park experience when our kids or grandkids want to put their feet in the water, or climb a rock and the first thing they do is ask us if it's "legal".
Lotta rules at these Naps. We haven’t been to them all but we’re not shooting to hit every one of them. We’re very much like if we’re near a NP we’ll go. It feels like Disney but for the outdoors with all the people
So glad you found the video! You’re not the first person who’s mentioned they got unsubscribed without their permission. Greatly appreciate that you resubscribed. Thanks for being here 🤘
The rules are pretty ambiguous. From the research I’ve done you’re supposed to get a permit to do any commercial filming in a NP but I think the NP system got inundated with requests and so they might be giving up on requiring permits. I decided to play it safe and do pictures while in the parks so that I don’t come across as a rule breaker to all the people out there who like to point out mistakes YT creators make 😂
@@thecumminscamper u gotta look up utuber 'rv miles' his last video talks about a bill passing to make filming in NP again possible (?) (I don't pay too much attention to these details myself but think might be helpful for u). 🍻
We the people own these parks. They cannot keep you from filming in a public setting or park such as this. If they ever tried to fine you, you could sue the crap out of them. That rule applies only to commercial filming. Not a normal Joe with his family.
The first night was south of Moab on BLM land off Yellow Circle Road. The second night was north of Moab off route 313. Both nights were outside the Moab city limits but only 20 min from town
Would seem to me the law stating you cannot film and post your trip to a National Park on TH-cam would be unconstitutional on it's face. WE THE PEOPLES OWN THIS PARK, not the Governments. What are they trying to hide? I would take the fine and challenge this in court.
From what I’ve now learned the national parks have changed their rules related to filming in the park to allow single camera videography. I’m glad I know now so that in the future I can film freely and exercise my first amendment rights
@thecumminscamper yeah that's why we didn't do the arches national park ...besides the line last year was CRAZY to get in to the parks. We found out there a secret way off of BLM land to get in to arches... lol😂 But that sucks no video/ no drone 🤪
So I learned after this video, filming for a monetized YT channel in a NP is allowed. For a period of time there was a weird regulation put in place where you weren’t supposed to film for commercial purposes without a permit. Then after the park service got inundated with permit requests they revised the rules to where the permits only necessary if you have a multi person crew. If it’s just normal people filming for YT, you can do that all you want. It did make for a fun change of how I had to try and create a video worth watching.
Very good!
Now THATS what we here in Atlanta Ga call a BREAKFAST sandwich!!!!!🎉 Yummy
Thanks so much! Glad my sandwich passes the ATL test. Appreciate you watching!
Great photos from the national park!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed our photo montage! Appreciate the positive feedback

So that’s how you guys work the drone/driving shots. It was one of the great mysteries of the world 😂
One day I’ll learn how the autopilot works but it’s fun to be the drone guy while Marisa operates the rig
Nice video Eric, thank you for showing the parks!

Are you not allowed to film because your channel makes money? National parks are public spaces and you’re allowed to film in public spaces.
