I've been in healthcare my entire adult life. I have an education in (weird voice) human services-geriatrics🙄 I have never been more jealous of the opportunity to have a conversation!!! Pete, tell Val, I'm low key falling in love with you. Weirdly her too. Or maybe not weirdly. It's whatever. Mr. Black... My children have graduated from your high school (Moco. You know what's up) when I told them I had to pull you up on the internet. It's fine. Thank you gentlemen. This was fun. I'm not funny but sometimes a smidge... Pete has the greatest guests but needs to STOP INTERUPTING THEM AND LET THEM TALK! Best line ever from Ms. Pat, “Pete, I have no idea why ur talking about! Shit the F up!” Someone had to say it and only Ms. Pat could get away with saying it like that! 😂. Not a huge fan of Lewis Black comedy style in the past, but after listening to this interview, I like him so much as a person that I am going to give his comedy another try. What a great guy!
Apropos to the segment about bombing while crushing.. I remember the moment in the 90s I realized Mitch Hedberg was one of the true originals. 30 min special where I was crying & the audience was just 🦗🦗🦗 I remember at one pt it was even funnier to me *because the shit audience wasn't getting it & he wasn't letting up lol

He knows he has a BAD habit of interrupting people during an interview, he preemptivly apologizes for it all the time. Stop being other peoples crash test dummy, or better yet, rodeo clown. Black is best on stage. When he does these podcasts and interviews, he stumbles through sentences so bad. Ad-lib is not a strong suit for Lewis. And it's getting worse as he gets older. Now 75, will he ever stop? Probably not.
Lewis’ persona is so angry/ aggressive that you forget he’s a sweetheart offstage.
