I had my OnePlus 7 pro yesterday. I also have the s10 plus for work. If I'm being honest I really prefer the OnePlus. I was initially concerned that although it's had favourable reviews. There was some minor criticism over it's camera quality and the stereo speakers. I will say this. The stereo speakers on the one plus are the best I have ever heard on a phone. IMO they ate louder, better , clearer and have superior stereo separation to my s10 plus. The camera although basic is fantastic. It's at least on par with the s10 plus. The screen on.tje s10 plus is a little brighter and the colours more vivid. The OnePlus makes up.for this with no notch and it's bigger . Where the OnePlus shines is speed and smoothness! OMG it is easily the fastest smoothes not phone but de ice iv ever used. The s10 plus is fantastic but TBH it's not in the same league as the OnePlus 7 pro. This phone is heavy and feels super premium. I think Samsung, apple and Huawei need to be worried about this phone. It's cheaper and better than anything they offer at the moment. I would recommend this phone over anything out there at the moment. Once you try that 90 hz screen you'll never want to go back to 60! Even the pop up camera is really.good. it's quiet and a lot smaller than it looks on video. This phone is the dogs boll@cks!!

The oneplus is water resistant (no phone is waterproof) it has an incredibly fast charging speed to make up for the wireless charging, reverse charging is slow as hell and you will barely use it, the oneplus has a slightly worse display but it's 90 Hertz, just get an adapter or cheap wireless earphones, the dual front cameras on the s10 are actually worse then the camera on the oneplus, you can just get a screen protector, the oneplus has a better speaker, the mic is great, how TF do you get a better edge screen, I highly doubt you would go above 64 gigs of memory and they have higher options, got nothing for the not rate, the oneplus has the better battery life, and really... VR support?
The S10+ is the overall, Jack of all trades champ. But if I broke mine beyond repair, I'd buy a OP7 Pro as a competent replacement, rather than pay monthly insurance payments.
Iam in a tug of war. I pre ordered my s10+ blue prisms 128 GB - 8 ram. So I have had it for around 6 months. It still mint and I absolutely love it. But I have money burning a hole my pocket so iam thinking about getting the op7p. I just hope I don't regret it. Which I would give this phone to my 11 year old son so not all would be lost

If it's something that bothers you then you'll likely give it a miss but realistically for most people they won't intentionally get the phone wet other than use in the rain or an accidental drop. The “infinity curved display” on the oneplus 7 pro reminds me of s8 which is a deal breaker for me because the curved edges create an excessive amount glare. This means that even when you position the display at an optimal viewing angle, the glare along the edges makes the phone an absolute nightmare for watching full screen videos or playing games..

All I can say is I've quickly got use to the edges and the glare is filled out with your content so i funny see it anymore. The no notch/punch hole has changed it for me. Along with the 90 hrz. For $445 now new for 256 gig 8 ram new. That's a steal.

No more iphone for me. OnePlus is my main Company for phone now. I'm all into 90HZ Refresh Rate. it is a lot better when gaming. It doesn't dim itself at all no matter i what do. gaming or recording videos!! it is perfect! where apple doesn't offer that! stupid iphone dimmed itself when i played PUBG or even Bullet Force. OnePlus did a super great job not killing me with dimming screen. other features which i don't really care.
I have both. I find myself always wanting the 7 pro. It covers the most important things to me. First and foremost The DISPLAY; then battery; and Bluetooth audio. Cameras and wireless charging just not that important to me. I've got it running 90hz all the time. The battery seems a little better plus the warp charge is faster than Samsung's charger. The Samsung display has dingy whites. I do miss the headphone jack and I like the lite weight of the s10.

97 same price at T-Mobile the kicker is a trade in I’ve got a 6s which isn’t worth much to me takes 200 off makes them the same price! I had all intentions of getting the one plus 7 pro but didn’t like how tall it was or how rounded the edges were .
Being marginally better at refresh rate and speed and pretty much lacking in everything else just doesn't cut it for me. It may be good for gaming and watching Netflix but that's Child's Play. The 10 is a better equipment for professional use and those that care about mic and audio quality.
My honest and frank opinion: I have to go with the Galaxy S10+. The One Plus 7 Pro is really nice, but I can see that pop-up camera becoming a maintenance issue over time. It's not good to have moving parts in a mobile device-particularly to the degree of a pop-up camera. Mobile devices get dropped, stepped on, sat on, rained on, spilled on ..."bent", etc. On the surface, the pop-up camera seems like a cute little gimmick, but for the social media hobbyist, and anyone into taking a lot selfies, the One Plus 7 Pro might be a bit of disappointment...when that pop-up camera stops working.
It's pretty much plain and simple S10PLUS is the #GOLDSTANDARD of the Android platform worldwide nothing else tops or compares to the S10PLUS till the Note10Pro in August. But I will be buying the OnePlus7Pro on May17th to backup my Note9 and give my OnePlus6T a rest third string for that.
How about Samsung DEX. A feature that very few reviewrs talk about. A very functional and practical ability to plug in to a monitor/tv and use it like an actual computer. That's some good shit that other phones don't have. Great for work presentaions or just work in general. A pocket PC to plug in to a monitor. More capabilities.

I recently made just exact just coming from a xs max I've had for 2 years. The curve display I had to get use to. But after a week. I notice gaming and content isn't different from my xs max. No notch is very nice. As well with the 90 hrz display.

Even with the older money glass 5, you can't really tell a difference..unless you drop it. And if you drop it, gorilla 6 is not gonna survive either way. I would just use a nice screen protector. It's worked for me since older ape glass 1 so it really doesn't make much of a difference if you're going to use a screen protector anyway.

It is tough. OnePlus has done a fabulous job. However missing headphone jack is a big let down.
Don't worry about that use a dongle. This phone is by far the best phone out there.

@Mr Alexoll the s10 plus is not better than the 7 pro because of the performance, and fast charging capabilities.
Being marginally better at refresh rate and speed and pretty much lacking in everything else just doesn't cut it for me. It may be good for gaming and watching Netflix but that's Child's Play. The 10 is a better equipment for professional use and those that care about mic and audio quality.
My honest and frank opinion:
I have to go with the Galaxy S10+. The One Plus 7 Pro is really nice, but I can see that pop-up camera becoming a maintenance issue over time. It's not good to have moving parts in a mobile device-particularly to the degree of a pop-up camera. Mobile devices get dropped, stepped on, sat on, rained on, spilled on ..."bent", etc. On the surface, the pop-up camera seems like a cute little gimmick, but for the social media hobbyist, and anyone into taking a lot selfies, the One Plus 7 Pro might be a bit of disappointment...when that pop-up camera stops working.
Imagine in a few years phones give you maintainance tips, like putting lube and greasing the moving parts🤣

It's pretty much plain and simple S10PLUS is the #GOLDSTANDARD of the Android platform worldwide nothing else tops or compares to the S10PLUS till the Note10Pro in August. But I will be buying the OnePlus7Pro on May17th to backup my Note9 and give my OnePlus6T a rest third string for that.
How about Samsung DEX. A feature that very few reviewrs talk about. A very functional and practical ability to plug in to a monitor/tv and use it like an actual computer. That's some good shit that other phones don't have. Great for work presentaions or just work in general. A pocket PC to plug in to a monitor. More capabilities.
OP7 Pro can be mirrored to a screen via usb-c to hdmi adapter.

@@JC-sx6fi Not any phone. Only some flagships allow HDMI output. About Dex, there are third party apps for that. I hear sentio is the best atm but I haven't tested it myself. I'm giving it another couple years or so till I replace my laptop with a smartphone. Exciting though :D

Good vid! The Samsung images are definitely more appealing to the eye - more vivid. But it also appears a bit more processed, whereas the 1+ seems more natural. I think I'm going to leave my iPhone ecosystem and give the 1+ 7 Pro a try. It's time for a change.
I recently made just exact just coming from a xs max I've had for 2 years. The curve display I had to get use to. But after a week. I notice gaming and content isn't different from my xs max. No notch is very nice. As well with the 90 hrz display.

You do remember Vivo and Oppo did popup cameras last year to get fullscreens so OP are using an old design actually . Plus Samsung has already done the A80 with a fullscreen . Also what are OP gonna do for the 7t that will be meaningful , not just add more megapixels or ram. If under display camera tech doesn't mature for another couple of years that's another couple of years of motorized stupidity. I rather stick with a punch hole than take any chances with motorized parts.

I would not wait for the Note 10 if I were you, unless you really like using the S pen. Why? The Note series come at the end of the year, and they become outdated fast. 2020 arrives and bam, you will feel like your phone got outdated fast. Not to mention, it holds it is resell value for like 3-4 months and then it drops hard. Just look at the Note 9. Well, if you care about that sort of thing. I would never get Samsung phones at their MSRP. This is the best time to buy a galaxy phone in my opinion. The S10+ is on sales everywhere, and it will be relevant for longer if you get it now. Just my thoughts.
Well, I got the XS Max when it first came out. Granted sometimes I feel guilty about spending that much on a phone. I admit that it is not good value at all, I like iOS more (not a justifiable reason though, but oh well) . The last phone I had used as my main device was the iPhone 6 plus, so I am planning on keeping this one for at least 3 years.

Even with the older money glass 5, you can't really tell a difference..unless you drop it. And if you drop it, gorilla 6 is not gonna survive either way. I would just use a nice screen protector. It's worked for me since older ape glass 1 so it really doesn't make much of a difference if you're going to use a screen protector anyway.
