  • Please join the CSIS International Security Program (ISP) for a discussion with the Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy, Vice-Admiral Angus Topshee, and Dr. Seth G. Jones, CSIS senior vice president and ISP director.
    Dr. Jones and VAdm Topshee will discuss a range of issues, including ongoing implementation of the National Shipbuilding Strategy, operations to support increased commercial traffic in the Arctic, and the Royal Canadian Navy’s response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

    Soft ball & feel good interview. No hard questions regarding dismal littoral fleet. Example: that background screenshot is deceptive. Not one AOR arctic patrol vessel has hosted a Cyclone.

    I do not know much on the navy side of the house, but what I can tell from the things I have heard and seen. This officer is good shit, and sailors will stand beside him!
